Feels like a sweat shop here. Seems like they just want to get the customer in and out as fast as possible. Last time I was there an unregistered nail tech started removing my old nail polish without use of gloves. The continued to use the drill on my hands after it was clear I was in visible pain. My nails turned out great but the whole experience has turned me off from going here ever again. read more

Unfortunately, I have to report my dissatisfaction for my experience and service quality with Deluxe Nail Salon & Spa. I was recently in town for a friend's wedding and received a manicure and pedicure at Deluxe. Within two days, I had an infection develop on my thumb where the side of my thumb nail meets my thumb- presumably from the tech's cuticle cutting work. I was able to treat it at home, but it was painful for a few days. Additionally, I noticed only after a few days that there was dark discoloration at the base of my large toenails/cuticle areas. After removing the nail polish, I've discovered large bruises underneath both of my big toe nails. This has never happened to me before. Lastly, when I went to use the on-site ATM to pay for my services with cash, I was automatically prompted to view my account balance and after I navigated through that screen, I was forced to reinsert my card and only then was able to take out cash. This resulted in an additional $3 fee from the ATM - so to simply use their ATM, I was charged $6 in fees. I would have just rather paid with my card! I am not from the area, but ultimately, I really felt I had to share my experiences, as I was not satisfied. The salon is beautifully renovated and able to serve a large quantity of clients, but I hope they read this review and take this feedback to make the experience better for others. read more

I've been going here for almost 3 years and always had a great experience. So I am giving this 3 stars based on my most recent experience, not on my over all experiences as a whole. I went in yesterday for a regular manicure. I always get this bc I hate how shellac leaves my nail beds. I did the color bubble bath, and this is a very sheer color which is what I wanted. The lady who did my nails was rushing as they were quite busy and made several errors throughout the process that I brought up to her and she said she was aware and was going to fix it. Well by the time I made it to the nail dryer my nails were a sloppy mess and this was after her "corrections". I had been here at this point for 2 hours so I left unhappy. When I got home, I showed some other people who all agreed and persuaded me to go back for a re do by another technician. So I went in the next day (today) and the new tech was very passive aggressive towards me and almost blaming ME for the way they looked. She said the polish wouldn't cover the whole nail bc of my cuticles, so she pushed my cuticles to make it appear that way. She did no such thing! The only thing she did was actually paint my entire nail which is what I assume is to be done every time? Lol Then she told me in between coats to pull my hands further back from fan, that it can cause uneven coat. Okay did that, then of course I bumped my thumb nail in between coatings which just in my mind made her feel validated for her blaming me for the nails looking bad.... LOL! Okay I'll give you that one! But when she went to re do the nail that was bumped, she got some of the polish on her and I kid you not, she WIPED HER POLISH FROM HER FINGER, OFF ON MY JACKET SLEEVE. I was so shocked I didn't even know what to say. I am so mad for not saying something in the moment but I was truly shocked and speechless and processing what just happened. Then after nails were painted, she reminded me 10x not to touch anything and let them dry for 30 min. So I did, and my nails look 100x better and I'm glad I did a re do but I will not be coming back here after being treated that way. They need to understand people make mistakes and I wasn't being rude when I asked for them to be re done. I tipped and paid for a service I was not happy with and shouldn't be faulted for below average service. I think I will be looking for a new salon sadly. read more

Had an appointment with a certain technician. After waiting 30 minutes, they said they weren't available yet and it would be another 30 minutes. Then they told me that the person I was waiting for was not good at pedicures, was rough and rushed pedicures ...and she reco that I should go with someone else. Really?!?! Very concerning for so many reasons. When I went to pay, I had a gift certificate for a standard pedicure that I had received. They told me that prices had gone up and I owed $3. The certificate clearly said it was for a standard pedicure and was valid for two years and in the dollar amount field, they had x'd out the $. They said that they're a small family owned business and $3 is a lot of money to them. Kind of strange considering the building that they have is humongous and the owners live in a multimillion dollar house in Montgomery. They used to be good but they aren't what they used to be. read more

I've been going to this salon for several years. I am always happy and my SNS manicures often last up to 4 weeks. I've occasionally stuck with the same technician for a while but more often than not I don't plan ahead and get whoever is available. I'm never disappointed. On the rare occasion I've had an issue, they were quick to make a fix. They have a large area for pedicures with nice massage chairs and often offer specials. read more

I have gone to Deluxe countless times over the years but took a break from getting my nails done since being pregnant recently. I came in on Saturday, not only to be surprised that their prices continue to go up (I checked out at 88 dollars with tax BEFORE tip). But seeing this sign, really bothered me. This is absolutely ridiculous, you're charging for nail shape?! Deluxe, you should be ashamed of yourselves for doing this. I just walked out with a no chip mani and regular pedi for 105 dollars with tax and tip and you're saying if I wanted almond shape, you're going to to charge me an additional 5 dollars? Not to mention I had to go back 4 days later bc my nail technician didn't go all the way to my nail bed and I looked like I had a week or two regrowth. I decided to call back after and have someone fix them and then they made me feel as I was the burden, which I didn't appreciate. To be honest, they were the ones who burdened me having to go back again. That's the last thing I wanted to do with my evening after working all day, driving 20 minutes across town to get there, wait 15 minutes to be called back past my appointment time, get them retouched, and drive 20 more minutes home with a new baby at home. Deluxe, do better. An apology would have been nice versus making me feel like I was the problem. read more

I've been a loyal customer over 8+ years and go at least once a month sometimes twice. Recently my nail tips were applied incorrectly resulting in very painful breaks in the middle of my nail bed. I asked Deluxe to remove the nail tips due to painful breaks. They agreed but insisted I pay for the polish and manicure to correct my horrible nails. Mind you, I've spent thousands of $$$ over the years and never once complained. The management argued with me until I was in tears, and left. They could have done the right thing but they were very ugly about the situation. read more

I come here whenever I want to get my nails done. I love going here. A person I would recommend is Danny. He did my SNS French tip manicure and was awesome. This was my first time having him and he was so detailed and intentional with everything. He took his time on my nails and continuously asked if I liked them! I really appreciated having him as a technician! The reason why I gave a 4/5 is because consistency isn't there overall. I had a great experience with Danny but other times I feel like my service is rushed. Sometimes I get my cuticles cut and other times I don't. Sometimes I get a hand massage and other times I don't. I just wish there was consistency so I know what to expect and it's different every time and I typically do the same service. I also wish there was an itemized receipt because most of the time, I get the bill shrug my shoulders and pay it. An itemized receipt would ensure I'm paying for what I'm asking for. Came here for a pre-vacation mani pedi since the Oakley location did not have any appointments available. I wasn't really greeted when I came in but I waited less than 10 minutes for my pedicure to start. She did ok with the polish but the cuticles and dead skin removal could've been much better. For my mani, my stylist seemed to forget to have me soak my nails in the water so I only did so for about 3 minutes. My biggest complaint is that not even a week after my appointment my sns mani chipped on one finger. Two days later another finger chipped. I have not done anything strenuous and I have never had my mani chip this much. Very disappointed and the service was not good enough for me to come back. Also, parking sucks. I've been going here for a little while though and have always had a great experience but this is the worse I have ever had. I had a dip polish change with black french. The french is extremely uneven and the lines are cricked. There's a giant spot on the front of one of my nails that doesn't have polish on it. Multiple nails also do not have polish on the sides. The length and shape across the board are extremely uneven. It hasn't even been a full day and it is already chipping and peeling off. I take great care of growing my natural nails long and he shaped them to be extremely short for some and long for others. I think this will be my last visit. read more

This upscale nail salon has great service and technicians, as well as as great modern decor. But they do not have or do not enforce a "no cell phone policy." As I sat in my pedicure chair for one hour, a lady sat in the chair next to me while her mother was getting a pedicure. She took at least three phone calls and spoke loudly on her cell phone the entire time! Even after her mother's pedicure was finished and the mother left for a manicure station, this lady continued her phone conversations in the comfort of the massage pedicure chair she was occupying. I complained afterwards to management and they replied that they do not have a no cell phone policy, do not wish to have one, and basically don't care that a non-paying person is disturbing the experience for the pedicure room. read more

Very dishonest with young adults. My daughter went in there to have her nails filled in. She has dip on. She was given a price. Once she sat down they started to take her nails off. She questioned them and they told her they could not fill in dip.. never heard of this before as I have had my nails filled in before with dip on them. Charged her $30 more than they told her. Even after calling while she was still there they did not reduce the cost. Will never go back! read more

I went to this salon mid summer. Just wanted to do something for myself since I had just had surgery. The salon is aesthetically nice. My niece and sister-in-law suggested I go there. I was disappointed beyond words. I just wanted a basic clear nail polish on my hands and French pedicure with clear polish on my toes. I had my arm in a brace and was leaving town the next day. I had expected more from my nail tech Zoe. For such a nice place I thought this place would be good. First, I asked her to correct a blob on the pedicure. I asked her to fix it She tried and messed it up again. I looked at her funny and she shrugged her shoulders and continued to the next foot and did it again. Being uncomfortable I didn't say anything. She asked me about my mani again and I told her once again clear polish. She asked me to pay. I did and tipped her generously anyway. She walked away not completing the polish part of the manicure. I asked her yo come back and complete the manicure. She did one hand and rushed off. I should have said something before I left., but couldn't because if my ride was already there and was in a hurry What a waste. No better place to go to get your nails done in the Tri-State area!!! Rated top 10 in the state of Ohio. This nail salon is superior to all others. The customer service is outstanding. I had them done over 30 days ago (one whole month) at Deluxe. Yes, they had obviously grown out, but they still looked amazing!! Today, I had a manicure done and I'm so pleased with this color. My favorite nail salon in the Cincy area. I've been here several times now and have walked out happy after every visit. Today, I did a regular manicure with Linda and loved it! She took extra time on the massage and went out of her way to repaint a toe she accidentally scuffed when helping me over to the drying area. I'll definitely be asking for her again! I've also had a regular manicure and gel nails done here, both of which I have been very happy with. We see Hannah and May every time and they never fail to give us top notch service. They will even show us multiple colors on their fingers to help us decide what we want. I was doing a regular mani with regular polish - nothing complicated. Topcoat doesn't even cover the color underneath. It's uneven and chipped after a few hours. I took my step daughter here because I had heard great things about how beautiful and big it was. I was impressed walking in, it's huge, looks clean, very professional. However there were multiple things that make me never, ever want to return. If cleanliness and safety are your thing, skip this salon, TL;DR, I got a toe infection. Let me start by saying I have colorful dyed hair and tattoos from my face to my fingers, I own my own business and am very successful, however when I walk into "upscale" places like these I tend to be looked down on by employees. Not sure why, maybe they think I can't afford the services? Idk. Regardless, I paid for a $35 standard pedicure for my stepdaughter, and $45 for a premium pedicure for myself. I just wanted somewhere relaxing and luxe to do my billing for my company and self care while I took a break from my toddler. I did feel like my pedicure was a bit rushed, I pointed out some concerns to my tech, calluses on my toes, my heels, but I'm not sure if she understood what I was trying to explain because she missed all the problems spots that I wanted taken care of. I do feel like my nail tech was almost nervous that I wasn't going to pay her or something? It's kind of frustrating because the salon doesn't let you add a tip when you swipe your credit card, they only accept cash tips or Venmo. So I had to message one of my employees to have her send my tip, $15. She immediately rushed over to the drying station once she received her tip and her whole attitude changed, she was so sweet and thankful, too bad that was just at the last two minutes of being there. Later that night I started to get a lot of pain in my big toe as I was walking, it started to get red and swollen, by the next morning it was full on infected with pus leaking out! I actually had to go somewhere with my family and we were all dressed up, I was supposed to be wearing open toed shoes but I couldn't with a nasty toe infection. I got an email from the spa asking if I would rate them, I responded that they don't want me to rate them after what happened, and I would appreciate a refund. Since I had spent $95 on two pedicures including the tip. They never responded back. So here I am, leaving them a review. I'm 35 years old, I've never left a review on yelp in my life, but I have time this morning. And I'm actually really upset I spent damn near $100 on two pedicures and left with a toe infection. That's something I would expect from a $20 pedicure, not a "luxe" spa. Lesson learned, obviously I'm not getting my money back, hopefully this review help somebody else choose a different spa! (Also, if the employer chooses to read this, my email is still in your inbox with the details of my technicians name and the dates and times, I don't feel it's appropriate to blast somebody by name on yelp) read more

I really like Deluxe Nails. The service is always fast and friendly. My nails look great and they last with shellac polish until I go back 2-3 weeks later. My pedicure usually last 3 or more weeks with gel polish so I continue to get that each time. They also are good with designs on nails. Definitely worth the money to pamper yourself. read more

Update: the salon reached out to me and offered to refund me for the atrocious manicure I received. However, the salon did NOT refund me and it has been over 2 months since I reached out to them informing them that I had not been refunded and my emails are being ignored. Again, I am just so disappointed and appalled by the customer service. I never requested a refund. But the salon offered a refund and never issued it. Incredibly unprofessional. read more

As a regular client in the salon, one day I'm running late for an appointment so they cancel it without letting me know. I called them to say I would be 15 min late but then when I arrive they tell me my appointment was cancelled. Horrible management. Take your business elsewhere. The guy running this place needs to understand they need customers we don't need the business when there's many others out there. read more

Went here with a friend. I asked for a deluxe mani and pedi and received half of a deluxe pedi and a standard manicure. The technician cut my toe and used a drill for my cuticles on my feet and hands which I am not accustomed to. I guess it was just a quick way for her. The technician herself was very nice. Their polish selection is huge! And when I spoke with the manager of the shop about my services, they were very nice and apologetic. read more
