We bought this unit about two years. We were promised by salesman and workers unit would last at least six years. And compressor out now Really. Then call to have someone out waited four hours then on fifth hour he came. Charge us 300.00 dollars. Then wants 1500 more. Warranty covers. Compressor. Not labor we are educated people we understand labor but come on now 1500 dollars. Then office stated this is a set price. Omg really. Not. Really impressed with this whole thing it is summer. And need air. The office suppose to let us know. If anything to help with this. This is there products. And they are not backing it. One thing if we had not paid so much and was promise. They were able to get everything taken care of with a positive and pleasant with solutions for all of the challenges and more than willing to do everything possible to make sure this install went smooth! Our AC went out and I called late in the day to schedule an appt and Ambient Edge was able to make it out first thing the following morning - which was fine because we still had one working unit, and I didn't want to pay the emergency fee. Brian and Tim called ahead and arrived on time. The unit is 15 yrs old and I was sure they would push for purchase of a new system, but surprisingly they did not. They diagnosed the problem as a worn out fan motor and they had a replacement motor in stock on the truck. It was awesome! Great guys. Great attitudes. Great service. I would not recommend Ambient Edged. I feel the tech purposely sabotaged my unit. He said I needed a limit switch on my furnace as this was a safety issue, which indeed it is. My house filled with smoke from the furnace and advised me not to use the furnace. My furnace was used the day before and work perfectly. I called another service company for a second opinion. Within a couple of minutes he was able to see that the wire coming from the mother board to the switch was disconnected. He reconnected the wire and the switch work properly. I was advised by Ambient Edge that I would need a new switch at the cost of 270.00 dollars to replace it........This I feel was not an honest mistake. read more

What a price gouging company, I used this company to service my A/C systems in March, 2018. In June my mini split system stopped cooling and they came out told me a nut had vibrated loose, repaired the system at. I charge since it was under warranty. Two weeks later the main system stopped cooling, which seemed suspicious to me, I called them out, the technician knew exactly what was wrong, a capacitor had gone bad. I asked how much the part would costs dead told $190.00. This was on top of the $59.00 to come diagnose the problem. I passed on the repair, do to the cost, spent a very uncomfortable night another company came out associated with my home warranty and repaired it. I found out that the part only cost $8.15 retail. Even with a trip charge including the vehicle and the technician's salary the $250.00 bill is excessive. read more

I was really happy with Tucker, our technician. He was helpful, professional and friendly. I didn't know that the company was based in Arizona, as I called the Las Vegas number. I felt bad that he had driven all the way up from Kingman to Las Vegas and we got charged a 'out of hours' rate because it was after 6pm, but in the end, we really needed our AC fixed, so all good. read more

We had a very bad experience with this company. We called them to let them know our AC was freezing up and told them we had the same problem a couple months before. We told them that the last repair person added Freon but they did not have any leak stop so they just added Freon to the system to get it up and running. We told them it was an old system that used the old type Freon and that we also wanted them to add Leak stop to the system as well. They sent their technician to our home to check the system. They informed us that we were correct and that the system was low on Freon but they said they did not carry the old type Freon. They also told us they did not have any leak stop and tried to convince us that it would not help. The technician then informed us that we owed him $79 for his service call even though he did absolutely nothing to repair our system. We called another company called Got Air and what a difference between the two. Got Air is a small Mom and Pop operations run by Mike. He immediately told us that he loves Stop Leak for older units that he can often get years more life out of them with a simple can of stop leak. This has been our experience as well with another unit we have on a home in Kingman. He went out added stop leak and more of the older expensive Freon and our entire bill was only $200. This young kid from Ambient Edge sent us a bill for $80 to do absolutely nothing even though we called the company and told them exactly what was wrong before anyone ever looked at the unit and we told them it used the old Freon and it needed more. He said he did not carry the old Freon nor the Stop Leak even though when we initially called the company we told them this is what it needed. IMHO this is a big company that specializes in taking your money and could care less about the happiness of the customer. We had a completely different experience with Mike at Got Air in Bullhead City. He is a very honest good guy making a living for himself and standing by his work. He is not a big business overcharging at every turn and trying to generate extra service calls for himself or trying to convince you that you need an entirely new system just because yours is old and that stop leak doesn't work to stop minor Freon leaks. All I can tell you for sure is that you will be much happier with a different company than this one. This is a big company operation with offices in different cities and that is how it is run. We had a very unfavorable experience with them and that is why I am writing this review. read more

We had a new air conditioner installed by Ambient Air about 19 months ago and the condensor went out. Not their fault, just a fluke (it happens but rarely this early). Zach and Erin were great to deal with. Zach came out and inspected the unit. He was just as surprised as we were that it went out so early. But at least the part was covered under the Lennox warranty. He called his office and they promptly ordered the part from Lennox. The part came 2 days later. The warranty did not cover the labor, but Erin gave us a reasonable rate for repairs. Zach came back and installed the unit. We are happy with the outcome and the prompt response. read more

In all the years that we have lived in Kingman, we have never heard anything negative about Ambient Edge. We received an offer in the mail advertising a summertime service offer so we scheduled an appointment. The man that came to the house to service the unit recommended that we should consider replacing it due to the unsatisfactory operating conditions of our 28 year old unit. Our AC unit had given us a little trouble and the thought of replacing it was agonizing. We hesitated at first but then went ahead and scheduled an appointment to discuss our options. Appointment day came, the door bell rang and there stood Billy Barger. At first sight Billy had a smile, introduced himself and was putting on booties to enter our home. We sat with Billy over the next hour discussing different options about what we currently have and what he could do to make things better. Billy was extremely professional, showed a huge amount of courtesy and respect to us, our home and to the situation. After Billy completed an entire evaluation of our home, we sat a little bit longer and looked over the proposal and various accessories. We let Billy know at that time we would be in contact with him. After Billy left we discussed our options, experience and were amazed at the professional service we had just received. Gas furnace was not working. I had tried several options myself based on Internet research - no go. With so much bad press out there about heating and air-conditioning contractors I was reluctant to call one but I finally decided on ambient edge after reading their reviews and finding nothing negative. Zack and Brian A. came out to the house, they arrived on time - on the dot.....they knew exactly what they were doing..... Brian told me he has been with this company for nine years. A big plus. They diagnosed and fixed the problem, no new parts needed and they were only here for 45 minutes for a charge of $59 total. A real bargain - these guys get five stars. read more

I'm giving 3 stars and I'll give the reasons why. 1st off the good stuff. They called prior to coming to the house and they were early! The inside of the house was about 85 degrees. Kerry was very professional and gave our a/c unit a good looking over. Found the problem within minutes of opening the unit. 2 copper pipes had rubbed a hole in each other. So he got out his solder and 'welded' the holes shut. Did a pressure test and his repair was holding. The unit needed recharging now. It takes 10 lbs of refrigerant. $1250 later the unit was running again. Now the call was $60, and he was there about an hour. We were told R-410 was about $75 per pound. Online I found a 25 lb tank for $245 delivered. Right now I feel really ripped off. Even at $100 an hour, this call shouldn't have been more than $600-$700 tops! I wish I can find an honest place in Kingman to get repairs done. read more

I called around 9 am on a Saturday morning, and Brian showed up around 11 am. We were extremely grateful because it had already reached 100 degrees inside the house. We called around to other companies (including the contracted company our home warranty uses) who couldn't get someone out for 2 or 3 days before I called Ambient Edge. Brian gave us a clear explanation of what the problem was, and the price was fair for the speed and quality of service we received. He also gave us some tips for keeping our unit functioning for as many years as possible. I Call Ambient Edge for a A/C Tune Up on 6/3/13 @ 9:00 am to see when could the come to service my a/c unit, to my surprise they said the come that afternoon, i mentioned to the receptionist that i received a letter for $89.00 Service Even though the Special had expired she stood by that price.. When Blair showed up in a timely manner he went thru my a/c unit and found problems due to previous shotty work by other company that the home owner warrantee company referred to me a few years ago. Even though there was wiring problems and parts ready to go. Blair explained what i need to do, But Did not high pressure me to fix right a way. Very Nice. He Finished the tune up. We bought an energy saving Intertherm furnace from another company in May of 2012....since than we have had to replace #1 the Pressure Switch, and now in Jan. of 2016 we have had to replace the Hot Surface Igniter. I called the company that installed the furnace at what was suppose to be an emergency number, it was on a weekend, I left a message telling them the furnace wasn't working....my mother at that time was 87yrs old at the time with CHF...it was January and very cold...they never returned my call and I finally had to call Ambient Edge, who came out right away, they didn't have the part in stock and we had to wait another day. They got the part as soon as they could and came out early the next morning to fix it. The other company finally called a few days later and I told them to never mind that Ambient had taken care of it, so kudos to Ambient Edge for coming through for us at a time of need...they are expedient, very professional, courteous and reasonably priced!!
