Contacted Terry 2 weeks before Mother's Day and asked for a last min zoo and pony. Our mother is on hospice and we wanted to do something special. Not only did she accommodate us and make a way, but she totally surpassed our expectations. Cute, fluffy, friendly, to say the least. Truly felt loved and catered to from e-mail to day of. Our handler JC was a great addition to the party as well as professional and did his job very well. I first discovered Events n Chill (formerly Picnic n Chill) on a CNBC segment and thought it would be a great idea for some sort of special event. When it came time to thinking of a way to propose to my then-girlfriend, Events n Chill was still bouncing around in my head so I looked into more details about their Proposal package. Although the cost is pretty steep, Events n Chill were very quick to respond with options, as well as addressing any additional questions I had. Appointments are booked and paid for through their website, and additional follow-ups and requests are quickly addressed through email. In addition to the package itself, they offer a variety of additional add-ons for additional costs. But even without any addition items, the "basic" setup that comes with your selected package is still gorgeous and personalized to your request. On the day of, you'll receive a text with a drop-pin with the GPS location of your picnic setup. Since it was a proposal and I obviously wanted it to be a surprised, they did an amazing job getting all the details of my request down including having a photographer that popped out of nowhere (she was very well hidden) right as I got down on one knee to propose. Queuing up the music as we approached the carpet. As well as personalized signage displayed and ready to go. Oh, and she said YES! Jocelyn did a really great jobs with the pictures, and was professional and engaging throughout. She was great in suggesting different poses, selecting areas and angles with better lighting, and making us feel at ease while she snapped away. The only complaint we had about the entire process was how long it took to eventually get all of our photos. While Jocelyn was quick to send a selection of photos she took that day, we noted there were several key shots that were omitted from the album provided. Follow-up emails and texts asking if she could release a few more pictures sadly went completely unanswered for over 2 weeks before thankfully, she responded and shared the entire portfolio of pictures taken that day.

For a period of 7 months he never contacted us unless he needed payment. He told me at least three lies to my face, delayed our process, and was paid for doing absolutely nothing. At the end, he said he did not think he could `make it work' which was good because I had no intention of using him for the actual work. My evaluation of Steve is he is totally unprofessional, and completely incompetent. It is my mistake for signing a contract, which I honored. I can only hope his next victim is made aware of total ineptitude I had to deal with.

On the day of my wedding, the reception setup was exactly as I had imagined--floating candles and my favorite flowers, baby's breath, creating a magical forest-inspired atmosphere. There was a small hiccup when my wedding cake arrived--it looked beautiful, but the color palette wasn't quite what I had envisioned unfortunately. However, Rebecca worked her magic with her own dried flowers, and I ended up with a completely new cake that was a much better match for the theme. We had started working with Terry about 6 months before and had exchanged lots of emails and had met in person. All of the preparations left us knowing Terry was going to be great of the day and he was. It is great when you can "tick" something off your preparation list and have no doubt it's going to be great, and all you have to do now is look forward to the day and actually enjoy the ceremony. We are not religious, and in fact we were already married before the wedding, so really this part of the day could have just been a formality that you had to do, then everyone could get on with the fun parts of a wedding, like eating and drinking too much. The reality was Terry made his short part the focal point for the whole day. We had originally hoped that Terry would read our vows out, because neither of us likes speaking in public, but on the day before, Terry let us know that he thought it best if we read them out as they were so personal. This was a bit of a shock, but in the end, Terry was right, we agreed, and it really made a big impact. The ceremony was funny, serious, meaningful and special. It was a pleasure working with Terry. Like others have said, we really hope we don't have to use Terry again as this marriage is forever :-) but I would give him the highest recommendation to anyone looking for a wedding officiant for their special day.
