I went to 6 different garages (not expecting them to do anything in the moment but advise me on the safest way to get it home. I was on the verge of a full on melt down when I decided to try one more garage before calling a tow truck. Luckily the next one I found on the map was Bill's garage. Brandon was incredibly helpful and professional and asked me to stop by so he could have a look. When I arrived Brandon came right out and ran diagnostics a few times and drive it around a bit to assess the situation. He felt like it was ok to drive it back which was a huge relief. The reason I stopped in was for someone to check the pressure in my tires, as my low tire pressure light came on when I left my home that morning. This is a fairly new car with 23K miles on it that I had bought in September. All four tires were brand new. Anyway, when I walked in I saw this dark haired woman sitting at the counter in the waiting room. I asked where Marty was and she said we are the new owners. So, I asked if someone could check the tire pressure on my tires (a three minute task) and she said the service people were all busy and she could make me an appt, for Thursday. I said that wasn't really acceptable, as air was leaking. I left and on the way to my car I saw two service people standing by the stacks of tires outside just shooting the breeze. Busy, my foot. If that had been the old crew, they would have been right on it, even Marty had done that in the past. So, I went to Bert's (yes, I still call it that) and the kid came out, checked all my tires and the back passenger one was done 6 pounds. Needless to say, I will not be going back to Cahill's.

Someone tells me about Cahill, I call, they say sure, come anytime. The tire is fixed and I'm on my way in less than 20 minutes. I was honestly impressed. Certainly the most efficient tire repair operation I've seen in the US. You pull up in front, they jack up the car, remove the wheel, find the problem, fix it, and then put the tire back on. Bang, bang, bang. No pretense, no wasted effort. If you've got a flat near Bath, don't waste your time going anywhere else.

Manager refused, said her boss won't approve it, then got increasingly defensive. Received a call from her boss and he agreed, without argument, to reimburse me. So glad the Topsham mechanic wasn't available to work on my car at the time, or he would have torn it apart for no reason. AVOID THIS LOCATION.

They've always been fair and honest. Once or twice there were additional things I needed (like brakes ) and they were factually needed! The mechanics showed me why they were making a recommendation. Up to me whether I follow it or not. Thank you!!! Service has always been done very quickly and at a fair price. They are communicative. I've never felt pressured to buy or do anything. My car has always been ready when they tell me it will be. They've even offer a veterans discount.

It was a great experience: convenience of a loaner, on-time service, honest review of service needed and what should be done soon. The difference being that the dealer seemed to upcharge on what is needed and what coud be done. Their overhead charges and labor costs were extreme as well. That said, Autowerks charges a fair amount on labor and additional "Phantom" time did not appear on my bill. Give them a try.

Who wants to wait that long when you already know that you need the battery. Anyway....the man I dealt with kind of conveyed competent charm. Said the right things, etc. I only waited a reasonable amount of time, especially for drive-in service. And everything was fine until he gave me the bill told me how much the battery was going to set me back. It was an (almost) obscene amount, about 40% more than anyone else had quoted me (all the places that couldn't get me in). You see, I never asked (and shame on me for that) because everyone else had quoted the same general price. I mentioned that it seemed a little high, to which he replied that THAT is what it costs, and that was that. What *I* didn't/never told him was that my last job was running a small-ish chain of auto repair shops 14 years); literally! I had my thumb on the pulse of what others charged in the area, and I tried to NEVER make anyone feel like they got taken. I knew how good (or not) their techs were, and how they operated. That people trust MAS for whatever reason is fine, but my one experience was the only one they get.
