Comfy recliners but they're hot and sticky during the summer. Alamo Drafthouse is more expensive but much preferable to an aging AMC.

The reclining seats allow for a more romantic setting and doesn't make you feel so close to the next body.

STEPH JUDGEMENT: Fun for special movie outings…read more We came to see Guillermo Del Toro's "Frankenstein" with our friends and it did not disappoint. We've been to the downtown LA one a couple of times and the drill was the same: You start by scanning the QR code and making the initial order, then during the movie you write down your order on the provided pad and pressing the service call button. You have 20 minutes after the movie ends to settle up your bill; after that they will close it out for you with 20% gratuity. We ordered: - Spicy ranch popcorn (spicy! It's a dry powder so I should've gotten some light butter on it to hold the powder to the popcorn--we kept accidentally inhaling it, doh) - Churro crunch popcorn (not too sweet, with slight salty notes that gave it a really nice touch) - Vegan cauliflower bites with celery and fries (the gochujang sauce was a little too sweet and the fries were limp--just meh) - I got a Pilsner, hubby got an IPA The food was just ok but the service and atmosphere were great. The seats weren't THE most comfortable recliners, as they didn't recline quite as much as the AMC chairs we were used to, but they were fine. One of the best things at these theaters is the 15-20 minute montage they show before the movie that's related to the feature--worth getting there early for. Some of the clips they included were really obscure and funny, like the one from the 1960s where Frankenstein goes to college and becomes a party animal, lol.

I agree with everyone here regarding the QR Code ordering! The preshow entertainment is one of the…read morebest things about this place, but you can't even enjoy it because you're on your phone trying to order food. They should at the very least have either an option to still order on paper, or an order a head option so that you can just order everything before you get there. AMC and Harkins even do that... You can say what time you wanna pick it up and then you can just pick it up on your way in. Since there's no human interaction anyway they might as well just let us do that. I also felt bad for the server because I didn't feel like he deserved what I would normally tip on the bill, but it's not his fault and I'm not sure how they're getting paid. It's not really fair to the workers either. So I tipped low on the app and then I felt bad so I gave him an extra money on my way out. The whole thing just really sucks.

I've seen so many movies here, that I don't even remember them all. We've partaken of their snacks so many times -- I think they were the first theater I visited, to offer jalapeños to go on my hot dog. I've also been here for all-hands meetings being held by our company, which had multiple facilities nearby, but none with a room large enough to hold us all. Our most recent visit was to see "Mission: Impossible - The Final Reckoning" in their IMAX theater. Wow. Awesome experience! Great visuals, with awesome action from Tom of course. The sound level was a bit much for us, but I expect we are in the minority. I held out as long as I could to read the credits, but I eventually found myself making a mad dash for the men's room. I usually expect to find quite a mess in movie theater restrooms, but I was shocked, I tell you, to find that restroom spotless, with all the supplies freshly stocked. Overall, a delightful experience, reinforcing my desire to get out more, even though I know COVID-19 is still circulating...

There is a tiny little bar where you can get alcohol drink if that's your thing. (Just pregame.) Theaters themselves were recently redone. Most have reclining seats, but no tabletops. The non-3D IMAX theater isn't much bigger than most normal theaters but was clear and sound was good. (See pic) The seats in there do not recline. Huge parking lot. Usually tons of spaces available. I'd see a movie here with no reservations.

The theater itself felt like a proper cinematic space, and the D-Box seating really heightened the movie. When the horses charged into battle or the war scenes began, it genuinely felt like you were riding alongside them. The movie being the extended edition made the four-hour runtime fly by it felt immersive and nostalgic at the same time. Price: Tickets were around $25-$30, slightly higher than normal because of the D-Box experience, but I absolutely think it was worth it for how much it enhanced the film. Food & Drinks: We bought the theater small bag of popcorn, which cost around $10-$12. The theater has standard food and drink options if you want to grab snacks there. Tips: The theater was a little cold, so I'm really glad I brought a blanket. I highly recommend doing the same, especially on a chilly day. If you can, check to see if your local theater offers D-Box seating it truly adds a next-level experience to battle scenes and action sequences. Overall Experience: As a longtime Lord of the Rings fan, this was an amazing, nostalgic experience. Seeing Return of the King again, especially in theaters with D-Box, made me feel like I was watching it for the first time all over again. The ending still brought tears to my eyes, and the extended edition made it feel like a full, immersive journey. If you have the chance, I'd highly recommend catching this 25th anniversary screening. Especially in D-Box. Truly unforgettable.

I love huckleberry and will always get it if available and this did not lead me astray. We started with crab dip which was a hit even with our baby. For the mains, my husband got the meatloaf platter and was obsessed. I had their specialty burger (a mix of beef and elk) that included arugula, goat cheese, jam and some onions - also top notch. To finish things off we got chocolate raspberry cheesecake and... Wow. Delectable. If it's not obvious, the food here is epic and I love the concept and theme. My son had the barbecue wings and they were very good. They had been smoked instead of just thrown in the fryer which was a nice touch. The blue cheese chips were really good as were the fish and chips. We had it with cod.
