The seats are dope. The popcorn is good except it's $10.50. Somehow more than the movie. ‍

Easy process getting tickets via Atom, zero time waiting in line!!!

This is a great little movie theater right next to Pedal Haus brewery off of Mill Ave. Given its location, I thought it would be crowded, but to my pleasant surprise, it wasn't. The lobby is small, but clean and organized. No long lines at the concession stand. The seats are AH-MAZING... So big and comfy, love the reclining feature. We saw Endgame in 3D and the tickets were reasonably priced. 2 tickets were $25 using the Atom app (convenience fee included). Love being able to reserve seats and not having to rush and get in early for good seats. The movie auditoriums are smaller with smaller screens but I liked this because it can get noisy with bigger crowds, plus it's easy to find your seat. Parking is behind the theater in the parking garage. Don't forget to get your parking ticket validation! I didn't know they had this until I read another review, but now I know for next time. Overall, clean and cute little theater. We will be back again.

Ask the Community - AMC Centerpoint 11

So how does parking validation work when using an app to purchase tickets? Is there a scanner when leaving the garage? Do I need another app for parking?

Yes, there's a machine that validates your parking on the way out across from the concessions stand.

Is it cheaper to do it through the app or in person? Through the app, I paid a convenience fee. Is that applied when doing it in person, too?

If you are an AMC Stubs Member or AMC A-List Member convenience fees are waived. Convenience fees do not apply for in person purchases.

Where is the parking and do I need to pay for each hour for parking? I am very confused.

The only garage that they will validate for is the Centerpoint garage directly behind the theater on Ash. There's a podium inside the movie theatre with the ticket validation machine, so make sure you validate your parking before you leave!

I currently have a love/hate relationship with social media, but I'm so glad I came across a post showcasing this glorious theater located in Tempe! I was going to try it out by myself but the Crazy Cat Lady (if you follow me on the gram, you know who that is, lol) decided to come out from the boonies on a whim, so we went. We saw "Weapons" and it had us hooked to the end! No, the seats don't recline (they do lean back a little) or have swingy table tops for your snackies, but they have cup holders and they're not cloth seats, so for $3.50 (and $2.95 every Thursday) you really can't complain! The theater was clean and the nostalgic decor make for a very enJOYable experience. There's also an arcade in the front lobby to the left once you enter. My only little gripe is that the restrooms are on opposite ends, but that's a very minor setback. The concession stand has all the basics: popcorn, nachos, hot dogs, pretzels, candy and drinks. We got the combo deal for $11.95, which includes a medium drink, medium popcorn AND a hot dog (or pretzel). We ordered an additional small drink and the total came out to $15 and some change. I don't know about you, but I know a good deal when I see one and this here is pretty epic in today's economy! Of course the movies shown here are a few months old, but I love that because that means it's not crowded at all. I can't stand a packed theater. This would be a great place for a birthday party, team-building or just a simple no frills kinda date! There's a bunch of pic opps in here, too. Have yourself a blast and don't forget to take a pic with Chewie, like me! Lol!

I know we stood in line for at least 20 minutes behind ONE person who seemed to be complaining about everything. Once she was finally done, the guy who was standing to her left moves right in front of us and has an issue with his order (or whatevaaa)!! He eats up another 5 to 7 minutes before we FINALLY get to place our order. I had tried to move to another line as the cashier didn't have anyone in front of him although he had just helped a couple. I asked if he was taking orders and he said no, that his system went down. Ummm, okayyyy. So my friend was still standing in the original line where the guy cut in front of us and we finally got to order. The Chicken Tenders took up another 7 to 10 minutes before we finally got them. The lines started piling up behind us. We saw at least 2 managers but none of them seemed to be managing. I would think on weekends of all times, you'd have most of the registers open, but they only had about 3 or 4 up and running. Needless to say, by the time we got to our seats, we had missed the beginning of the movie. SMDH! It's really annoying that we paid for something and partly got ripped off (idk how much of the beginning we missed). And yes, I do know you can order food ahead of time online, but we tend to be indecisive sometimes so that's why we ordered when we arrived. Minus 2 stars for the crap service at the concession stand. No apology from the guy who took our order, either. 3 stars for the reclining seats in great condition, theater seemed to be kept up pretty well, and the food was hot and fresh. I guess if we come back, we are coming at least an hour before show time, and HOPE that we'll have a better experience.

One thing I really liked is that the IMAX theater is separate from the regular theaters and has its own dedicated area, including concession stands and bathrooms. It makes the experience feel a little more premium and less crowded. Concessions are priced exactly how you'd expect at a movie theater, but the food was actually pretty solid. We ordered the chicken tenders combo along with popcorn and a drink. If you order a combo meal, you place the order at the counter and then wait in a separate pickup area where they bring the food out to you. The tenders came out piping hot and the fries were crispy. They also have extra butter dispensers if you want more, which I always do. The IMAX screen is HUGE and the sound system was excellent. Honestly, there really doesn't seem to be a bad seat in the house. We sat in G21/G22, which looked close to center on the seating chart, and the view was fantastic. Nice bonus that there's also an elevator available for guests who need accessible access to the upper seating areas. The only reason this isn't a 5-star review is the seating. The seats were standard theater seats that rocked slightly. They were comfortable enough, but reclining seats with tray tables would have made the experience much better, especially since any food you order basically has to be eaten from your lap. One small touch that stood out: before the movie started, a staff member made a live announcement reminding everyone to silence and put away their phones. Most theaters just play a prerecorded message now, so that felt surprisingly personal and appreciated. Overall, a really enjoyable IMAX experience and definitely worth checking out for big blockbuster movies.

The symptoms have been bad enough that we are scheduling a visit with our primary care doctor. We wanted to share this experience so the theater can review their food handling and so other guests can be cautious. We hope management looks into the freshness and safety of the popcorn and butter stations.

This franchise replaced the Alamo Drafthouse and patron etiquette has been subpar ever since. Alamo had a very easy and firm system that ensured patrons were getting the value of their ticket. Each trip to a dine in theatre is around $50 for me and my friends each. I expect to not have my movie interrupted by shitty guests who cannot follow theatre etiquette at all. I just saw The Backrooms with a friend and had a woman next to us who kept giving commentary after everything that happened in the movie. Then at one point turned on her phone flashlight at full brightness to seemingly look for something but kept it on for nearly 3 full minutes and kept shining directly in our faces. Turned toward her to gesture that it was disruptive and she just stared at us. I went mid movie to the front desk yo file a complaint about it and they said because their menu is a QR code on the table top that they can't do anything about the excessive flashlight use. And that for the talking they would let a manager know. Then offered us to move seats mid movie. What a horrible response to a situation where they should've had an employee ask her to stop talking or be ejected from the theatre. Alamo had the perfect system, physical menus and paper cards for ordering food. A very clear and strict PSA before the feature explaining the expectations and etiquette rules and a discrete and non-disruptive system for complaining about noisy patrons on the paper cards. This is why people do not go to the theaters anymore. I would've enjoyed the movie more if I didn't have some inconsiderate fuck in my ear the whole time during a very quiet and atmospheric horror movie, breaking the immersion. I love going to the movies and for midnight showings or re-releases of cult classics, I absolute let expect and welcome some chatter and disruptive reactions. But this is not the first time this has happened at this theatre and I frankly would've been better off streaming this movie at home if I wanted to enjoy it. Please for the love of god, do better so that you can continue to make movie theaters an enjoyable destination for patrons.

I also like ordering my snacks for pickup right before the movie so that I can just walk in and grab them - no need to stand in line. Some of the theater rooms have tables that swivel out from the chairs - this is gamechanging for when you have multiple snacks to hold. I don't think all the rooms have them though, but it was a very pleasant surprise the first time I saw them. I am all about the movie experience, especially movies that have a lot of action and special effects. I still enjoy dinner and a movie date nights. This Harkins location is in North Scottsdale right off the 101 and has plenty of parking and restaurants all around. I was recently in the area and caught the latest "Superman" movie in the CINÉ XL theater. It is called CINÉ XL and has an extra large screen, a gold curtain that opens up before the movie begins and Dolby Atmos sound with a 4K laser projection. I'm part of the My Harkins Awards program where you get discounts after so many visits. They have an annual Popcorn Perks program where you can get 36 medium popcorns for a year for $40 (one popcorn per visit). I also purchase the loyalty cup and get my $3 refillable drink at each show. I save on admission price by seeing most of my movies during matinee hours. Going to the movies doesn't have to be expensive if you look for the deals. Sometimes the concession lines can be long at Harkins. A lot of young folks work at Harkins and can be a little slow at times.
