I was looking for fun for our family during Christmas break and found tickets for this theater on Groupon. It was 75% of what I would have paid going to an updated AMC. Yea there were no recliners and the chairs were well loved. My family saw Sonic 3 and were pleased with the theater for the cost. The employees were great and it made for an affordable outing. read more

They shouldn't even be allowed to play movies over 30 minutes with the wire springs in the seat coming through, I couldn't enjoy my movie and spent over 40$, next time I'll spend that 40$ on a nice dinner and just use my streaming service. read more

Very old outdated theater. It felt "dirty" and smelled like old nasty carpet. We were in Indiana for the weekend and this was the closest theater, definitely NOT what I am used to. Not a place I would return to. The employees were nice. read more

This place has really gone downhill over the past decade, but it's now at an all-time low. If there weren't cars out in the parking lot I would have thought the place was abandoned because the grass was about 2ft. tall. During the movie the top/bottom curtains weren't pulled back all the way and we're blocking the screen. You couldn't read the bottom row of subtitles and the tops of everyone's heads were cut off. The AMC Board of Directors would be sick to their stomach if they saw this AMC. I'd recommend either going to YES downtown or drive up to the AMC in Southport. read more

In October 2018 I posted several photos on my Facebook page and the post went viral. The theater is absolutely filthy, with many of the stalls, hand dryers, soap dispensers, drink dispensers, and theater seats missing or out of order. There was food everywhere, the theaters weren't being fully cleaned between shows, and there were 3 womens stalls with blood smeared on the seats and floors. The then-manager contacted me and asked me to come back in 2 months to see the changes. I did (at my expense) and it was just as bad. I went back with my book club last week and it was awful. Everyone who had the popcorn felt sick after, the theater smelled and the lights stayed on until 15 minutes into the movie when someone finally went to tell them about it. The individual theaters no longer have signs above them so you don't know which is which theater unless you look at your ticket. The bathrooms are in really sad shape. I was asked to go with a group to see the manager but I declined. My understanding is that they got nowhere with him. He just nodded and said thanks. Our community deserves better. I always go to YES if the film is there, but they have limited screens and don't get all movies. read more

This is gotta be the most disgusting movie theater I have ever been to in my life. Our first visit was fine, however today's visit was pitiful. The lobby had concessions doing tickets, so the line was crazy long. The bathrooms had piss and toilet paper all over the floor. Along with most of the urinals being out of order. The lobby was covered in trash and stunk horribly. The theater seating was covered it stains and floors were sticky. Tried talking to the manager on our way out and we got was "Ok.". Needless to say I spent 25 dollars to walk out during the previews and get nothing in return but the need to shower. So if you want piss on your shoes, gnats flying in your face, and a warm musty setting this is the place for you. read more

This theater needs a remodel. The seats are very worn and it smelled in the area where our movie if choice was being shown. The floor in the theater was extremely sticky and all through the movie I had to pull my shoes up off the floor. When we got ready to leave my shoes were stuck to the floor and I fell forward and had to catch myself on the seat in front of me. Same with the person I was with. The bathroom was absolutely filthy. The fixtures are so old they just can't be cleaned any longer and made to look and feel sanitary. I would need to know with certainty that this place has been thoroughly remodeled before I return. read more

Popcorn was fantastic, the sound system was great and the screens were nice too. The seats were old school but I enjoyed the throwback nostalgia! The popcorn butter machines were slow to work and the theater was messy in spots.. but can you beat 5 dollars a ticket?? I'd definitely still recommend highly! read more

Coke Freestyle machine in a theater. No. I ordered before realizing they had the "everything is kind of lime flavored" machine. This place was gross. Bathrooms were dirty. If I could give a negative star this place definitely deserves one. What an eye sore. Place was a mess food all over the ground. NASTY bathrooms. Broken toilets and urinals smelled like a New York cab with all the air freshener. Cost an arm and a leg plus my first born for a Coke and pop corn. To put it mildly this place sucks. This place has really declined in the last few years. It's dirty, staff is terrible, and service is terrible. Came to the first movie of the day and there is popcorn all over the floor and it's just nasty! I bought my tickets online and still had to stand in the ticket line to get in. Only one person working the ticket line, which was out the door. The heat doesn't seem to be on at all because it's FREEZING in here on the coldest day of the year! Typically when we come to the movies here we can't even get snacks because by the time we spend 20 minutes in line (even though we prebuy) the line for concessions are even worse and the movie has started. They apparently don't take any pride in their workplace or customer service. Bathrooms are gross too! All around it's terrible. read more

My family and I love movies; however, this theatre is absolutely gross. The front entrance is trashed with debris on the floors, the bathrooms are dirty, the theatres are disgusting....sticky floors, nasty chairs, spills in the entrance to theatre #8 that are present 30 minutes before the show starts are present nearly 3 hours later. Where the heck is management? The drink dispensers are dirty and extremely cramped for self service. These same complaints have been provided repeatedly thru the AMC app and no changes have been made. read more

Theater is clean and safe, w plenty of parking and pleasant, polite teens staffing - it's great, for a small town theater with a comparatively low number of screens. There are never more than a couple of people selling tickets up front, so plan ahead. The plus is that means there's less of a crush at the concession stand, which typically has a handful of folks working at busy times. Ticket prices are relatively low, especially when compared to more urban areas. They do a few promos here and there and have the AMC points program. The snack bar is more extensive than most small town movie theaters. Their combos and sizing are, though, completely ridiculous. There's thimble sized, then there's vat sized (with free refills), with nothing in between, for both soda and popcorn. I understand that profits are in concessions, but seriously? This is just madness and more likely to keep customers from making a purchase at all, because they're stuck with wasting their money on food they don't want and can't eat. Every once in awhile during particularly busy times (think: the day after Thanksgiving) the bathrooms get out of hand, but it's rare for there to be a significant line for a stall, even for the women's facilities. I appreciate that the staff, uber-friendly as they are, are effective and professional about removing people causing disruptions. The transition to AMC lost a lot of this place's small town charm, but at least the staff are still trying to do a good job within their new chain's corporate structure. read more

Great movie theatre. I've never had a problem with them at all. The movie theatres has always been clean when I've come to them. I've had to wait in line before but that was just because it was a Friday or Saturday night. Which is always busy for them here. They've also got a great selection of items at the concession stand. The only thing that I don't care for is their prices. It seems like they are over charging on the tickets and at the concession stand!! Its just a lil expensive at times. read more

Reduced the sizes of popcorn and drinks, of course did not reduce prices. Also will no longer fill boxes with popcorn for kids which they have always done without issues. Not bad. Not bad at all. The lobby looks great. There is enough parking for the entire town. The ticket prices are a low, low $6.50! It's almost worth driving to Columbus, IN every time I want to see a movie at that price (nevermind the cost of a 4 hour road trip). At any rate, it sure beats Chicago's crazy prices. The concession stand prices are pretty high, but show me a movie theatre that doesn't have out of this world prices for popcorn, candy and drinks... I don't live even remotely close to this theatre, so i can't say I'll go back. However, if I lived in Columbus, then I would be more than satisfied with this option for movie viewing. read more

We went on 12/26/16 and the place was packed. Needed more (or maybe competent) staff! We purchased our tickets online but they were never checked by anyone. Concession prices were outrageous and quality was poor. I will go to YES Cinema over this cinema if at all possible. I don't go to the movies very often and I was not impressed! read more

Visited AMC again yesterday and won't be back again for a very long time. The week between Christmas and New Year's is very busy in Columbus. They only had 2 ticket agents working and the line was out the door. There were only 2 concessions agents and that line was crazy long. There were 2 other people seen helping out here and there but not enough to make much difference. They were out of bottled water. The icee machines were out. The area around the pop dispensers was a sticky mess. read more

Poor customer service here. I've been there 3 times in the past two weeks and there was only one cashier and we were waiting in line for 10 minutes. The lights came on during the movie on two separate occasions. The staff here are lazy and poorly managed. The manager glanced at the long line multiple times and never opened another register. read more

Went last night to see LOVE, SIMON. Sat there until ten minutes after the movie was supposed to start, and they sent us home because "the studio didn't send the movie in time", and they gave us each a free pass to another movie. We went the next afternoon, sat through all of the trailers (was wondering why they were all for christian movies when this movie is the exact opposite), and the movie started....except, it wasn't the right movie. THEY PLAYED THE WRONG MOVIE! They sent me home with some more passes and I'm going to go tonight and HOPE I'll finally be able to see this movie. It almost sounds like they are purposefully trying to not show it. read more

AMC has suspended all discounts for movies. went yesterday with a full time student and was told HOLIDAY pricing in effect, NO discounts at all. Great. $25. for a movie for 2. We scratched the popcorn and drinks - That's another $15. you won't get. Am retired and partially disabled and have a college student that works part time. Maybe it was good when it opened... Now the movies aren't all listed at the counter, the seats are bearable for about an hour and a half, the concession stand prices are stupid, the movie selection was 'meh', the beverage was watered down beyond belief and it was uncomfortably warm in a theatre that only had ten people in it. Living close by means my family and I spend a lot of time here. We are all movie junkies and enjoy that it's so close to home. Although most times are enjoyable, a few times have been rather annoying. This place is busy, they need to possibly update it add on to the building. We've gone at times where we would have to ask for refunds because there was zero seating. Most of the issues here are the other customers and how they behave more than the theaters fault. Luckily they'll listen to complaints and offer refunds/other movies at no cost. All in all, the employees are great, other customers are rude. read more

Very clean movie theater. Not once did the floor feel sticky. Staff were friendly too. Just saw Mad Max and sound and visual quality were great. Stadium seating was nice too. I normally don't enjoy going to the movies, but this theater made the cut. read more

For some unknown reason, the local theater in Columbus (and ONLY mainstream theater in Columbus) has chosen to not show any special features. None are in 3D. They do not participate in any of the special showings that the Kerasotes brand offers. They do not offer free summer movies for children. They do NOTHING to support the community, but they continue to take our money like they have earned it. I refuse to go to the local theater because of this. I would rather spend my money in a community that makes me enjoy the time and money I have spent. read more
