I also love how consistent Baxter Avenue is. I've gone several times since I last wrote my review in 2018 and can report it holds up! Some things I love: * Easy to get tickets online! I've done this a few times now, which makes getting to my screen a breeze. * The big comfy, reclining seats! * The bar! Yep, get a drink before your movie starts ... but just be warned that you may have to make a bathroom run part of the way through your flick. * The helpful staff! I haven't come across anyone at Baxter who hasn't been helpful. Add to this the discounted tickets on Tuesdays and mix of blockbusters and indie movies and it's a local theater that should be treasured. And I mean treasured! It's come out that the shopping center that houses the theater is up for sale. I really, really hope nothing happens to the theater! Baxter is a theater we can't lose!

The theater is a fairly intimate theater. I don't think there are more than 100 seats. There are four paintings throughout the theater and curtains along the side, presumably to help with the acoustics. Rest rooms are on the lower floor, and the lower floor also has several vintage movie posters. Venue was very clean and well kept, and staff was professional and attentive. It might not be worth a trip for Bloomington by itself, but it is great to include if you are visiting.
