I went to AMC in block 37 to see the Michael movie. The location is very convenient right in the loop so it was easy to walk there from my place. It is on the 4th floor and there are lots of signs to guide you to the correct location. When I went over the weekend the elevators weren't working so I had to take the escalators. I was able to buy my movie ticket on the AMC website and there was no line to have the staff scan my ticket to get in. There are kiosks that make it super easy to order your popcorn and they even have a bar in there. The bartender told us each drink comes with 3 shots so my friend got a margarita and she said it was really good! The large popcorn was tasty. I was able to add extra butter to it and get a free refill so I could share with my friend. Next time I go I will just order the regular popcorn as I had a lot left over. The seats in the AMC theater are recliners which were really comfortable. I will come back to this theater next time I want to see a movie! read more

AMC Dine-In Block 37 is what you would expect from a movie theater in the loop area. The AMC is located within Block 37 on the top floor. It's easy to get to as long as the escalators are fully functional (they have elevators so don't worry). Because it's dine-in style they offer you the opportunity to order your food to be delivered directly to your seat. You can order well in advance of your arrival or when you arrive. Be forewarned that they only give you a handful of delivery windows and they sometimes will bring the food out ahead of the time you setup. They'll bring it back out to you when you arrive as long as it's before the movie gets started. I normally only go to this location when everything closer to my house is sold out. The prices at this AMC is unbelievably expense. I've easily been able to calculate an almost $15 to $20 savings for movie tickets. That's before you even add on any food. I truly recommend eating before or after the movie because it's so expensive. The food is okay but not worth the price. My usual movie theater is a dine-in style setup so I can't place the price blame on that feature. It's a very touristy theater so they're used to people visiting that are willing to spend a lot. read more

I enjoy both of the movie as well as the theater! I tend to come here a lot but never remember to review this dine in theater. It's always clean and they have great customer service but sometimes it's hard to find people to help. The theater is quiet and great for dates, family nights or solo movie dates. I do really appreciate the fact that not only is the theater itself is clean but the concession stand as well as the bathrooms are always taken care of. Of course like with all theaters, food and snacks are expensive but you do get some discount if you're part of the AMC movie club. Definitely come check out a movie here as well as the food and drinks. They have a full bar and they will make a special drinks for you if you ask. read more

Self checkout for drinks and snacks is just more abysmal automation. Popcorn and drinks are NOT brought out to you. Pick them up past the kiosks. Only pizza, etc., is brought to your theater for you. Signs for human flow in this theater are nonexistent or makes no sense. Seats have no lumbar support . Bring a pillow or hoodie to roll up. Commercials are so loud before the previews start. I finally checked out the AMC Dine‑In at Block37 to see Thunderbolts and it instantly became a favorite location. Being smack in the middle of downtown (literally inside the Block37 mall) means it's crazy easy to find and there are signs everywhere, so you can't miss it and don't get lost. Ordering food drinks and snacks couldn't be simpler: you breeze through the self‑service kiosks, wait for your drinks and food at the pick up counter then pick everything up at the counter. If you want to level up your movie night, there's even a full bar where you can snag a cocktail or beer and bring it right into the auditorium which huge plus and makes this spot stand out. Inside, the theater was spotless. The recliners are super comfy, with plenty of legroom, and every seat felt like the best seat in the house. Bathrooms are steps away; I ducked out mid‑movie and was back in under two minutes without missing anything important. Between the convenient location, streamlined ordering, in‑theater bar, and cozy reclining seats, AMC Dine‑In Block37 checks every box. AMC keeps proving why it's still the top chain in the city. For me, the big reason I love this theater is the food options. I get the loaded Tater Tots every visit and they never disappoint! They have tons of other dining options, and it's definitely a plus that they bring it to your seat in the theater! The only downside is that it's in the middle of downtown so parking is difficult to find and/or quite expensive. It's also near a play theater, so there's often a lot of traffic near Block 37 depending on the time of day. read more

They are fully reclining with foot rests, and go back so far, you could literally sleep in them. If you go here before 4pm they offer discounted pricing, I think our tickets were $13. Our theater was small, and even though it was a weekend, there were only a handful of patrons in the entire theater. That's likely because the movie had been out for quite some time, and theaters tend to be slow during the day. That's why we usually go at off times, we find it's quiet and more enjoyable. You can order food at the lobby kiosk and it will be delivered to your seats. Since we had lunch prior, we don't know how the food is here. Seats are assigned, which is always a plus. A very nice theatre at the top of Block 37 mall. No CS agents, only kiosks, but a rep was available at guest services, which was perfect because I needed assistance with my AMC Stubs account. They have a bar and the women's restroom was very clean. Your food gets delivered to your seats, but I appreciated being able to pick up the bag of popcorn we bought. The seats are much larger than the standard ones, reclining and comfortable and these are the best of all of their theatres, I think. They are pricey but all theatres are now. As with others, there are discounts for matinees and most of the earlier times. Great for an occasional outing. read more

Had a late night viewing of Insidious here and we had a good time. We bought our tickets online and we were surprised when each ticket came out to be $23 each. Not including snacks or anything extra - just the movie ticket. We arrived about 20 minutes before the movie started and the lobby was fairly empty. The employee was nice and scanned us in right away. We then headed to the kiosk and purchased popcorn, tenders, and a drink. Paid about $30 for snacks. Once inside the theater room we sat down and the seats were very comfy. My food slowly started coming out and we dug in. The popcorn and tenders were both really good. The French fries were also good, they were hot and crispy. The movie was great but people were being loud for no reason which was super annoying. We came to this AMC quite a few times already, and we didn't have any issues each time. The staffs were very nice and attentive! It's self service kiosk to order food, and they deliver to your seats. I am not sure why the ratings wasn't very high in this location, but there's bathroom in the theater which is clean! And usually when we order food, it's brought to us fairly quick. The movie theater is located on 4th floor inside block 37 mall. There's parking attached to the mall, and you can reserve a spot ahead of time online!!! read more

I've got to pile on with the criticism about the lights. Why do they keep the lights on in this theater? I've asked them multiple times to turn them down and every employee acts like it's the first time they have ever been asked this, says they will tell someone, and they are never turned down! I go to this theater because I'm an a list member and it is literally right next to where I live but other than that I wouldn't go here just because of that. If you are looking for something small and quaint, this is a good option. We didn't get food this time since we were wearing all white (Wakanda Forevee) but we did get a drink. The seats are reclining and you have plenty of seat room. Now if you want to order anything, you'll need to use the kiosk they have outside the studio section before going to your movie. If you don't, you'll just need to go out and possibly miss some of the movie. Nothing out of the norm. It is in a mall on the fourth floor too for anyone that is not from the city. So just follow the signs once you come in the mall. Overall, it was a good experience. The bathrooms are clean and it's inside a mall and condo building that has a lot of attractions like a rock climbing gym and stores like Zara. Yes, this is an expensive experience but it's worth it on a rainy day or a day where you have nothing else to do. We were visiting at Christmas time and actually went to the movies on Christmas Day. Brought my older cousin here to see The Color Purple over Christmas (I was in town visiting). Parking is a little hairy & expensive but we got it figured out. READ THIS BEFORE RECLINING BACK AND GETTING COMFY: The first star for this location goes to the front desk staff, they are always so kind upon arrival, super knowledgeable with any questions I may have, and highly professional with one another in In front of guests. The second star goes to the location which I absolutely love block 37 as a whole. The third star goes to the comfort of the seating and the ability to pick your seats at this location. I like that it's not a free-for-all. The fourth and final star goes to the drinks which are always hefty and super tasty from the bar. Especially love those liquor milkshakes. The lack of one star goes to the kitchen, while the food taste decent, the portions and temperature levels are less than satisfactory. As seen in the picture below. And also an honorable mention is the lack of parking for the location. Lights remained weirdly on during the whole show. Ordered a coke, it was $7 which I guess is fine for the theatre's but no Icee? Overall the place was very off putting. I visited this AMC for the first time today and I can't say that'd I'd visit again. The theatre is small and intimate if you like that kind of thing. I sat in the last row and it still felt like I was sitting too close to the screen. Give me the large theatres with stadium seating any day over this option. The ticket price was $17 for a matinee showing which is much too expensive when you can go to the burbs and pay $10 or less. I didn't know that everything is self-serve and that there's a $1 upcharge for "delivery" of food items. How do you charge customers for delivery when there's no other choice? I would've gladly stood in line at the concession stand if that had been an option. Speaking of the concession stand, they don't have adult combo options so you're forced to order items separately. I paid $6.49 for a Coke and $8.79 for a regular popcorn. At least let me feel like I'm saving a couple of dollars!!! I also didn't know that they don't fully dim the lights once the movie starts. Watching a movie with the lights on kinda sucked. I didn't like it at all. On a positive note, the location was clean (including the bathrooms) and the staff was very helpful. read more

Last time I've been to this theater was when Girls Trip came out. This time around I came to take my 8 year old to see Sonic the Hedgehog 2. The theater itself is nice and clean. The lady at the front was nice and inviting. She helped us place our order and let us know where to go. I was slightly disappointed that there were no movie posters. I wanted to get a picture of my son and nephew in front of the Sonic poster, but that's no big deal. Still was able to get a good picture of them. The inside of the theater was clean. I like how there aren't many seats, that way it doesn't get overly crowded. For food we had an order of nachos, Flatbread pepperoni pizza, Buffalo chicken sandwich with fries. We also got a couple drinks and was able to get the Sonic cup for $2.99. My son was ok with his pizza (not the theater fault). My boyfriend enjoyed his chicken sandwich. My chicken nachos were good, however it needed way more cheese. It was a little dry. Overall, great experience. Will be back for more movies. Make sure to validate your parking inside with one of the associates. It was only $10.00 read more

Visiting Chicago and went to see a movie with family. The theater was clean and the chairs comfortable hence the 3 stars. Two stars gone because food delivery was awful. We ordered our (very expensive) food an hour before the movie to be delivered 10 minutes before the movie started. Part of our order (some of the food) arrived 5 minutes after the movie started. Our drinks came 15 minutes later after asking about them. And then we find out we have to pick up the candy at the front counter. No where on our receipt did it say that the candy wouldn't be delivered to our seat. It made for a hectic start to what should have been a relaxing experience. The intimate theater offers typical popcorn and sodas but with comfy reclinable chairs and additional dinner options. Marry Me with J Lo and Owen Wilson are an unlikely couple as a superstar singer and a math teacher. Most of Ms. Lopez's movies are sweet romantic funny movies and this is no different. She looks fantastic at her age and so funny with Mr. Wilson. Staff have masks. read more

We went here a few years ago and saw Dr. Strange. Had a blast and was really impressed by how great the menu and food were. I still remember the amazing Thai noodle bowl that we had. But, things have changed. Menu is new and a bare bones selection of pizza and burgers, and sandwiches. The creative menu is no more, and that's sad, Nevertheless, everything we had was quite good, certainly not what one might expect from a movie theater grill. Had the chicken wrap, chipotle chicken sandwich, caprese flatbread pizza. Everything was excellent. Did have a couple of issues. First, no plastic ware.. The chicken wrap wasn't fully sliced, so it fell apart and no fork and knife to have at it. Also, the servers were consistently lost. We were right in the door, so they just asked if the items they were carrying were ours, then waited for somebody in the auditorium to beckon them. Once, a young dude was in the entirely wrong auditorium. Looked around, checked the ticket, turned around and walked out. The order is right on the ticket, guys. Finally, the price. This is an expensive experience. Two people, full meal came close to $100. That's too much. But, wife and I liked it and we will likely return, infrequently though. read more
