I asked for four screens for our 32 year old home that we bought new. I say that to remind you of how we get used to "getting by". My dad accidentally broke one of the glass shower doors in his bathroom thus making it unusable. We called our old contractor and they said we would have to buy a whole shower kit since that particular manufacturer, does not just sell pieces. I decided to poke around Yelp to see if anyone would be able to assist. I requested a quote on Yelp and I received a response within the hour if I am not mistaken. Patrick was very easy to talk to and made sure I knew the exact product I am requesting (size/type of glass) and provided a quote. He was able to provide me a time frame (4-5 days is very fast) and we communicated via email. Patrick let me know when the glass was done and held my glass for me which allowed me to plan on transportation. That glass isn't going to be traveling too well, strapped to the top of the car. So a week and a half later, I grabbed the minivan and headed out after work. Patrick greeted me at the door, checked the van to make sure the glass will be safe, then brought the sheet over himself and loaded it up. He was very polite and friendly. They have two stores. The larger one is on Monterey in San Jose. The Sunnyvale location (where I went) is more for sales, but depending on your location, both are fine. The funny thing is, I filled out the credit card form so he could charge me prior to work being done, but he never did. Haha, the made the pane in good faith. Long story short they were able to produce a sheet of tempered glass at the exact specifications, with a very quick turn around, with a very easy price tag. I told Patrick about this, but I said to my mom, "the only way you know which one was the old one, are the hard water stains on it." We recently had AMC come over to replace some glass in our dining room and we're really pleased with the work! They had to remove the AC and the support beam and old cat door. Additionally they added trim pieces to the door where the original was removed to make room for the glass door. It all looks really good and better than the original. I loved that they took care of all of it for a very reasonable price so I didn't need to find someone to come back and do the trim or remove the old stuff. Would highly recommend! read more

I'm a bit torn writing this review. On one hand, Patrick was very responsive when I needed to purchase a mirror from him and came out the same day (Monday) to check out the spot I wanted to install it. It was a relatively simple process. On the other hand, his office (?) took a while getting back to me to schedule a date for installation and the guy scheduling on the phone called me (Friday) while on the phone with another customer trying to schedule a time for the next day (Saturday). Like some of the other reviewers I was a little off put by the request to pay a deposit up front before even booking a time for installation (actually it was the whole payment and not a "deposit" per se) but I was desparate and just paid it. The guys who came out didn't really speak English and didn't really clean up after themselves, but the mirror is up and I don't think it's coming down. The other thing is, I had some crappy mirrors installed by another company and I asked Patrick if there was a solution to help fix them so they wouldn't fall down. He said he would get back to me but even after contacting him multiple times and pressing him, he never responded. I think if he had said "no" or that he didn't want to do it, it would have been fine and I would have moved on. But he delayed and kept diverting my questions for a week saying that he had to "find the right parts". So I kind of wasted a week waiting for a response that never came and still hasn't come... read more

This is an overdue review. About 8 years ago we were replacing our windows and also needed an enclosure to our shower. Patrick from AMC Glass came out multiple time to measure the window openings, measure the space, help debug one of the window installs, and the like. About a year later, when a gasket on the shower enclosure came loose, Patrick also quickly sent out his team to install a new gasket. Great . . . until I had an issue. We had a new shower door installed, they did a really good job with communication. Employees were polite and professional. When the job was complete I had a minor issue/concern, at first the support was very good. However, I continued to be concerned about some water on the outside of the shower door and my attempts at communicating have thus far been completely ignored (since October 25). I'm beyond livid having to deal with this company. Many issues from the very beginning. I thought it was extremely odd that you had to pay half of the deposit even before they come out to your house to do the measurements. I put my foot down and said absolutely not! They ended up coming by the next day to do the measurements. I had three windows and four window screens replaced. The guy who came over barely spoke any English so it was very difficult to communicate anything to him. They said it would take a few days to order the glass. I was going to be out of the country so I told them that my mother would be there in my place. The guy came over and didn't replace all the windows that he was supposed to. It has been 4 days and they still haven't fixed all the windows but they charged my credit card already. This is completely unacceptable! read more
