Needed someone to replace the torn weatherstripping on my Anderson Frenchwood Series 400 patio doors. Checked the Anderson website and J&M Window was listed as an authorized service provider. Called them and described what work I needed done; they quoted over the phone, fully aware of what work needed to be done. They checked stock on the parts and said they're could come out the next morning. The technician arrived promptly in the 1hour time window indicated. He protected the wood floors where the work was performed, replacing the weatherstripping which requires disassembly of the door itself. He even adjusted the glide. I found J&M Windows through looking up service providers for the manufacturer of our patio doors which have been broken forever. We asked some handymen before but they didn't know how to fix it. To be honest I was a little annoyed at first because they took a few days to get back to me and confirm an appointment, but I'm kind of impatient. However, the service provider Mitch was on time and provided excellent service. I actually didn't get to meet him but my husband said he was fast and knew immediately what the problem was and fixed it quickly. He was also really nice. We were looking to get all the windows in our house replaced so we went by J&M to check out their windows. The store is nice and has a good selection to look at and they recommended we talk to their number one installer to get measurements and decide how to proceed. So I called him and he sounded very nice and said he would come by on a certain day And for some reason he couldn't come he would definitely call me back.. I can't say enough about the customer service at J & M Windows and Glass. We had a situation where a Marvin slider was not closing, which meant we couldn't alarm the house and everyone in the house was going on vacation! We couldn't leave the house with a door ajar for a week. We called Chris at J & M, and he reached out to Mitch to come take a look at the doors asap. The problem was more extensive than we though, but Mitch managed to take the door apart and put it back together in 2 hours all fixed. I am very pleased with the service I received from Chris, Nancy and especially Mitch. Not only was Mitch able to fix the lock on my sliding patio back door but went a step further to make sure the sliding screen doors were working properly. J&M did an excellent job w custom glass for two showers, as well as two vanity mirrors and some closet mirrors. Prices were reasonable and work was high quality. Once of the vanity mirrors wasn't initially cut as well as I thought it should have been, and I'm sure most people would have accepted it, but Chris took care of it. These guys are definitely ones to work with and I'd definitely use them again - which is the best testament to their work! read more

J&M did a great job installing 2 Anderson replacement patio doors, one fixed and one sliding. Mitch, the lead installer, was awesome. We ran into a few issues get the door installed, none of which were issues Mitch created including a misaligned door lock on the bottom, missing "sticks" from the shipment from Anderson and house settlement after over 20 years since the original installation. Mitch didn't miss a beat. He found a way to resolve all issues. On top of that, he and his assistant were both very professional and had great humor throughout the installation. When, the doors were finally installed, Mitch was not quite satisfied as the bottom of the door was very slightly scraping the bottom surface. He removed the door to examine the bottom of the door and tighted some of screws on the bottom. Issue resolved. His persistence for excellence was greatly appreciated. read more

I ordered two custom bathroom mirrors. Each was a specific and different size. I planned to order a half-inch bevel, but J&M recommended that a one-inch bevel would look more modern and elegant, so I ordered that. They were correct, the larger bevel looked great. The mirrors took a week, but the mirror surfaces were perfect and cut to the exact dimensions I specified. I had planned to use mounting clips, but they recommended using mirror adhesive and resting the mirrors directly on the stone backsplash using small neoprene spacers they provided. Their recommendation worked great. J&M was $80 cheaper than another well-reviewed Yelp vendor. I'm super happy with the result. read more

What great customer service! I went in with a screen handle that was broken and I asked if they could order me one. I left the handle with them and asked them to call me when they knew how much it would be. I got a call and the guy said that Milgard didn't carry that handle anymore but that he was able to take a handle off an old screen he had and I could come in and pick it up. No charge! Well, I am so happy that he was able to help me and more impressed that he went out of the way to get me a handle without charging me. This says a lot about this company. We were referred to J & M by a contractor and was happy with the placing the order, although they said it would be a couple months for it to arrive and then a $150.00 delivery charge. I requested them to follow up with by J & M with Milgard, the manufacturer, on the scheduled shipment as my contractor was waiting and J & M said they could not do that. That if the door did not come in on the day it was scheduled, they would let me know. Seemed strange. Anyway, I did not hear from them on the date it was due to arrive so I called J & M and was informed it would not be arriving until a week later! I got the order number from J & M, called the factory and found out that it actually could have come sooner than a week J & M would have requested it. Their customer service is a ZERO. They get your order and there is no follow up. I would at least hope they would deliver the door at no charge due their error. read more

We have used J&M Windows and Glass on four of our personal residences over the past 25 years. We've had them do everything from replacing all windows and sliding doors in an entire remodel, to installing a new shower enclosure, and every experience was handled with professionalism, promptness, and quality of the finished product. Our first project consisted of retrofitting all existing window openings with Milgard inserts. They all fit perfectly and were installed in a day. Our second project was a complete remodel and Andersen windows and doors were used throughout. By our standards, this was a large order and everything fit perfectly. Our third project was a rather small townhouse, which we replaced all windows and sliding glass doors with Milgard inserts. Again, all fit perfectly and the installation was done in a few hours. Our last project was a full glass shower enclosure. This one took J&M several trips out, due to the shower contractor didn't do such a swell job on the shower opening. J&M continued to work with us to adjust the not-so-square opening so the glass enclosure would fit properly and not leak water. After a few trips out, and no complaints from J&M, the installer got the enclosure sealed up perfectly. Overall, our experiences with J&M were all very positive, easy to work with and had no complaints. No window or glass job needed is too large or too small for them to work with. I highly recommend adding J&M Windows and Glass to your list of suppliers to visit and converse with before deciding on who to go with for your project - they're worth it! read more
