The manager there "O'Neal" is a weirdo. Very disrespectful and didn't want to give his name when asked. What establishment doesn't tell you the managers name? Anyhow, they didn't realize I was one of AMCs investors and went to the movies because I literally am apart of the team. Would it recommend to a friend. The cashier Tatiana at the time was afraid to tell the managers name as well. Do better at staffing, y'all are supposed to create an inviting environment for your customers not belittle them and make them feel unwelcome. read more

I'm not sure what is going with AMC but they need to fix there issues before people decide to go elsewhere. Haven't been here for a long while but it seems they are understaffed or not managed correctly. My movie suppose to have started at 630p but it didn't start until 7p. Seems as thou they forgot that we were in the movie theater. Ppl had to go out and tell them there was nothing playing and then we it started it had no sound. After all the upgrades to this movie theater I can say I throughly enjoyed my experience. The seats are comfortable and spacious. If you want to enjoy a drink you can visit the bar! The bartender is awesome. He really knows how to make great cocktails! The only bummer was the food at concession was the same. Which is why they received three stars. But once that is revamped the AMC movie experience would be unbelievable. read more

This is not one of the best theaters in the area but it does cost the most. They have an express line for there ridiculous rewards program (do the math). There main concessions line has become crazy slow now. There answer is pay for the rewards program. That's not a reward. That just screws everyone who casually go to a movie and tries to pay $25 for popcorn and 2 drinks. There was so much more wrong with my last trip here but I'll chick them up to young employees are just not professional. I won't come back to this theater again. Nice Rewards Program. read more

Meh. Movies are obviously not their fault. But the place is kinda dirty and lately we can't seem to even get in the theater till the movie is starting. Don't understand what's going on with their Dolby (Theater 12) but its always late to seat. Food is generic theater food. Seats are awesome! The ones with the buttons on the arms are horrible. It's always tricky getting it to even recognize you are touching it (jabbing it repeatedly with my finger to the point I'm sure it's going to snap) and then it just stops and starts up again randomly. read more

Newly renovated theater with push button reclining chairs, arm rests between seats and build in cup holders. I love being able to reserve actual seating when buying movie tickets. I think that is the best idea ever, especially since I always seem to be running late! I am also a fan of the bar and grabbing a beer to take in to the movie. My star rating is based on one thing only, the temperatures the theaters. I love going to see movies her but I have learned to dress in layers if I'm going here. It could be snowing outside and inside is going to feel like it's 80 degrees, not a bad thing until you realize you are dressed for the weather outside. In the summertime I don't think they change the temperature either. So pretty much expect a warm theater, dress for it and you will be happy. read more

First time visiting this theater I saw the new pirates of the carribean in the 3D IMAX. Things I liked: the staff was good, popcorn was better than at most other theaters, pretty awesome that there is a bar in the theater as well, picture and sound was not life changing but pretty good including the 3D feature, clean facilities Things I didn't like: the floor was sticky which is a small thing but if I'm paying $20 for a ticket I would expect that not to be an issue, not a fan of the recycling the 3D glasses. The pair I got was pretty smudged up. Again, a small thing but for $20 a head.... lastly it was pretty hot inside the theater Overall I had a good experience. The simple fact is that they don't have a phone line and their "888" line is a recorded voice who tells you to go to the website and hangs up. The fact that the next movie theater is close to home means if I want to see a movie I will go here. But pick and choose everybody and don't expect anything more than a place to sit and a lot of money to spend. read more

Movie date!!!!! I love coming to this theater. Its so clean! And you get to pick your seats! Lol! You choose what seats you want! No trying to find seats and having your groups not sit together. I pretty much come to this place for the Dolby Cinima theater, as I'm an Audio and Visual nut. That being said its at least an hour drive for me each way. But with reserved seating it makes it easier to go. I can say however that for us having one of the hottest summers on record, they like to keep the theaters pretty warm for my Tastes. Something I have complained to them about. I like this theater, but it isn't quite the best. The inside appearance is very new and clean. The concessions are about as expensive as any other theater and they do have a pretty good selection of food. I would like to say that the quality of the food is not very good, however. I do not recommend the cinnamon sugar pretzel bites. They had a strange taste to them and overall wasn't very good. The pizza was okay, a little on the plain side, but it wasn't horrible. The seating is reserved so that is a plus to making sure you get good seats. Another cool thing about the seating is the recliners. You can adjust how far you recline with the button on the side. This feature isn't very common with other theaters so I found that this was a highlight. The size of the theater is rather big. From the inside you might think otherwise because most of the showings are on a branch off to the side instead of with the other ones by the lobby. The quality of the movies are very good. The picture is always great in quality and the screen size is bigger than some of the others I've seen. The sound quality is also good. It was quite loud, but I wouldn't say it was too loud. I would say it was loud enough to cover the snack wrapper sounds and faint discussions you would hear at other theaters. As far as disturbances, I haven't ever had problems there. Overall I definitely do like this theater, even though it isn't my favorite. read more

Son and I watched Solo at this IMAX theater.Lobby and bathroom was relatively clean, auditorium 13 was clean ,but the seats didn't recline. Plenty of viewing space especially since there was only about 30 people at this 410pm showing. Popcorn was typical standard AMC quality, not bad, not great either. Solo movie was ok, not awesome like Infinity Wars. But at least it was better than The Force Awakens or The Last Jedi. Aug 18, 2018 7:15pm. Had a friend come into town and said I need to check out the Dolby Theater experience. They have one at AMC 24, only a few of these in the country. Walking into AMC 24, it smelt like burnt pizza and burnt popcorn. The whole place, even inside the theater. I don't think this just happened, it seemed more like the concession area was not properly ventilated. Walking towards the concession area, you couldn't tell if it's even open if it weren't for the line. It was very dark and uninviting. The Dolby Theater experience alone was ok, and if it wasn't wrapped around the turd that is AMC 24 it might be worth it. Does this place even have a manager??? read more

I prefer going to AMC over other theaters, and go sometimes several times a week with guests. Lately, however, people have been bringing babies, children too young to talk, and children just learning to talk, to movies at which they will most certainly cry. These are NOT children's movies, or cartoons. I realize AMC doesn't know which movie these "parents" are forcing their children to see, but they allow their children to talk and cry for prolonged periods of time without taking them out. Each movie in which this happens, I look around and the other patrons have the same perturbed looks on their faces. Please AMC. Find a solution. read more

Not a bad looking theater from the outside, but it isn't that big on the inside either. I'd say it's a decent theater and personally I think the assigned seating is a good idea but that's debatable. Concessions need to be worked on as only one butter station was working out of the two. The staff were really pleasant which is great when it comes to customer service. I see myself coming back here eventually. read more

I think luck was on my side this visit. Corey M and I were a smidgin late for Mission Impossible Fallout sneak preview.There was an incredibly long line and we were 2nd to last..so much suspense! The greeter took a peek at the line and said he thought we would be able to get in so we stayed. The line moved speedily and when we were close we were told no cell phones are allowed. Thankfully we didn't have to run back out to the car through that gigantic parking lot plus it was raining. The staff had tables set up with bags to place your cell phone in until the movie ended. We were also handed a ticket to be able to identify the correct bag. My purse was searched and everyone got waived with a metal detector wand. We sat pretty close to the front and the reclining seats were heaven! I think this is the most comfortable theater in Hampton roads. The manager came out before the movie started and apologized for the late start, I forgave him because I was late anyways lol! There were no previews and the movie started immediately. The sound quality and picture were superb. I didn't see too much more but I will explore the next time. Great experience! read more

It's just okay. It is way too pricey for me just to see a regular movie. The seats are nothing special either. There is popcorn and trash on the floors and the bathrooms could be nicer. You do get to pick your own seats but it is hard finding good seats unless you buy way in advance. I miss the first come first serve seating. The Food is pricey especially for the lack of quantity. You've changed the cheese with your nachos and it's horrible!!. The theatre rooms are not cleaned. Messy Guests, yes! But you offer a clean experience and that's what's expected... however you have fallen short too numerously. read more

I've only been here once to watch Black Panther and the only bad impression I had was the amount of trash littering the main floor and theater itself. I had to remove some from my seat. I'm glad they had reserved seating but the IMAX didn't have recliners. However the screen quality was excellent with vibrant colors and sound. read more

Nicely renovated with reclining seats! The reclining seats were the highlight of the movie because I felt so relaxed while watching 13 Hours last night with my fiancé. AMC 24 is a well kept, well staffed theater. The recent renovations have added reclinable seats which are a real upgrade from the ones before (be careful!! If you plan to go to the movies tired, these chairs may put you to sleep!!!). As mentioned previously the staff is very kind and respectful, and helps the customer get the most out of their experience to the movies. My only complaint is how overpriced some of the concessions are. I bought a bag of Twizzlers for $4.50 from here which I thought was crazy considering I can go to 7/11 and buy the same bag for around $1.20. But other than the high priced snacks, I've got no problem with AMC 24. read more

Went to see The Matrix 20th anniversary release with the new whizbang dolby sound. Enjoyed the movie (again) and the enhanced effects, but we were really uncomfortably warm during most of the movie, aside from occasional breezes felt from the AC. I don't know if they were having HVAC problems, or just trying to stay in business by cutting back on the electric bill, but I will not be back to sweat for $15 a seat. read more

My first time coming to this theatre and will be my last. As a man goes walking thru the lobby with no shoes on, I notice that the floors are absolutely filthy. A small army of teenage flunkies are walking around with brooms and yet the floor is still covered in trash and popcorn. Purchasing a ticket was easy online and when we go there no problems going in. Went to get food, that started a down hill slide for me. We had to wait 20 mins for our food and it seemed like they were getting other peoples orders, that had just one or two small items before our order. Then, even though he was charged for fries it was not added to the order. Went into the movie they had already darkened the theater so it made it hard to see going up the stairs. About 1/4 of the way through the movie, someone turned on the heat and it was hotter than heck in there. I am already a very hot natured person so I was miserable for the rest of the movie. I've been going here ever since I was little. I really miss how it used to be. It is so outrageous and not user friendly now. I just left and saw the movie. The movie was great that wasn't the issue. The issue is how they have 2 lines for tickets and food and if you aren't a member of this membership they have you have to wait even longer. I don't think I should pay for a meme era hip when I'm already buying overpriced popcorn. It's like the front of the line pass at Busch gardens... we all wait the same. So I got out of line because my movie was about to start and the workers were taking the membership line before the other line. When I got to the actual theatre, there was dirty napkins on our seats and a cup of I swear it was poop or some goopy stuff. We of course moved it but when other people came in of course I feel bad about it because we didn't know what else to do and it was way to gross for us to even touch it. And right when the previews were halfway through a few movie goers came up to me and my boyfriend and said we were in their seats. I bought my tickets online and I showed them my seat numbers and those people went back to the front entrance to figure it out. Then a worker came up to us to ask to see our tickets.. twice. I bought my tickets and so did the other people who I guess weren't able to watch it as they never came back inside and also that the movie was completely full. I hope AMC stops with the commercial look and trying to do all this cool high tech stuff because I had a uncomfortable experience. read more

This is my go to theatre. From the great food to the comfortable reclining chairs, you really can't go wrong when you choose to go here. There are so many parking spots. Perfect for date night or hanging out with friends. The building is clean and spacious. And the customer service is always fantastic. The theatre is right next to awesome restaurants so if you go for a night out, you won't be disappointed. read more
