There are lots of AMC theatres in the Olathe/Lenexa area within 10 mile radius I chose this particular location as it came with the highest star reviews among locals. I can see where KS movie goers patronize very clean and nicely appointed place. Even the women's restroom is large enough to have a center seating area akin to what you'd find in like a large walk-in powder room. The seats are wide and comfortable recliners like your Lazy Boy ones at home. They come in pairs with a low upholstered divider that allows couples to hold hands or stay close while watching the movie (I miss my boyfriend at this viewing of The Roses - not because of the hilarity of the plot but the happy ending that they ended up revealing how they'd stay together...yep good movie rating with this review too!) I have to say the staff especially those who clean the theatre are so friendly and polite. read more

I've been a fan of AMC theaters in the kc area for years. This location lives up to their standards. Easy to get tickets on their app and getting to our seat was a breeze. The bathrooms are generally clean which is important to many movie goers. The sound and quality of the films are great The only real problem is getting to the theater. You have to park in the ramp and walk a ways to get to the front doors. There is no easy drop off or pickup location. read more

We stopped for a movie before we could check into our hotel and everyone was so nice! They even gave my daughter an Easter egg when she told them it was her birthday. The popcorn was delicious and the seats were super nice. I wasn't sure how the layout would look based on how it looked in the app, but it was two seats together with a removable arm rest between. My mom, sister and I visited AMC on 5/11 for an afternoon movie-The Book Club. My mother and I waited inside while my sister stood outside in line to get tickets which was a bit of a wait. Not sure if there was just one person at the window. My sister said it was hard to look at the seating chart because the Sun was shining down directly while she was looking. The girl inside taking the tickets was friendly, we did get popcorn and drinks prior to the movie. The Theater was clean and the chairs had an attached little tray for your drinks/snacks-the chairs also reclined which is a plus! We all three enjoyed the movie. read more

This theatre has been tried and true since first coming to the Legends. It's warm, inviting and comfortable. I always enjoy my usual seat where I can lay back and take in a great movie. The theatre and restrooms are also clean and that's a huge plus for me. The layout of the theatre is big and I just feel good being there. The employees are kind and friendly and it makes an outing pleasant and causes me to return again and again. Conveniently located I also enjoy walking around the Legends to shop and eat (sorry concessions). This is especially fun during the Spring, Summer and Fall months (I'm working on the Winter months...burrrr). For all the out-of-town visitors and locals alike, give this theatre a go. What a messed up night! Jake and I went out for a date night to see the new Bond movie at the Legends AMC. We opted to do the dine-in experience. He ordered our food and paid for it just before 7:30 PM. An hour and a half later, we still had not been served at our seats. So, around 8:45 PM, I marched to the concession stand, fuming, wanting to know where our food was. They even charged us a delivery fee. They apologized and retrieved a box of food out of the warmer. I didn't open it until I got back to my seat. This is what we received... Yes, that is a half eaten burger and leftover tater tots. What food establishment gives a paying customer a half eaten meal?? Oh, and this night cost nearly $70. read more

Visited here on a Tuesday matinee and had a pretty decent experience. The staff we came into contact with were very friendly and especially the gentleman taking our tickets - he was great! The men's restroom had a few urinals closed so it just made the restroom seem rundown. The theater was pretty clean and I didn't notice any trash on the ground during our visit. The theater we were in was very nice and the screen was huge! The recliners were extremely comfy but it was definitely not wiped down because when I moved the table at my seat, it was very sticky and gross. Overall, we didn't complain about anything to each other, but I just had a noticed a couple things like the urinals and the sticky recliner table. read more

An adequate place to watch a movie when smaller, closer theaters don't have the movie you're after. Staff are not there to serve, and come across as resentful when I engage with them. The chairs are halfway comfortable, and most screens do not have chairs that recline. The popcorn is waiting pre-bagged, sitting beneath a heat lamp. Sub-optimal. Went and saw bullet train with high excitement, the picture quality was horrible in theater 8. You could barely even see anyones eyes it was so dark, ruined the experience. Went and complained maybe 10 mins into the movie and nothing was done. Very upsetting as we being new parents, this is not how we want to spend our little free time. I'm going to sound like the most pretentious movie goer out there but I consider this theatre to be the "First Class" experience while the other locations are your typical "Coach" class. I recently visited this location because I got a notification saying that AMC Legends 14 would be getting the AMC Dine-In with a "restaurant" style menu. I'm a sucker for movies and food so I thought this would be a perfect double whammy. This AMC is located inside the Legends Outlets which can be a parking nightmare during peak shopping season but a nice to have a break from the heat of shopping or weather. They have a box office outside but is usually closed during slow periods. In these times, you can purchase your tickets inside to the left at customer service. The foyer is massive and very open which I like. The auditoriums are split between the left and right sides like many other movie theatres these days. The concession stand is bustling here and unfortunately, you canot pre-order your food online. One bad thing is even if you have an AMC Stubs Membership A-List or Preferred status, I still feel as though the lines are longer than the "regular line". Now as soon as I entered and provided my ticket, an employee gave us a menu showcasing their new Dine-In menu. You order at the concession stand and your food is delivered to you at your seat. The menu consists of burgers, sandwiches, wraps, salads, and pastas. The menu isn't massive but it's quite good for a movie theatre. You will pay a hefty price but you can either have a burger for $12 for a burger or $8 for a popcorn. Note that you still have the option of your typical movie theatre concessions such as popcorn and nachos. I paid about $23 for a salad, a side of tater tots and a large soda (refillable served in the paper cups). Another thing to note which may not go very well with people is that they charge you a $2 delivery food. Yes, they make you pay to get your food. You cannot pick it up at the concession stand so this is truly a premium experience. The seats here are the big, red, reclining chairs that are comfortable. Each auditorium has reserved seating and has the high incline, stadium-style seating which I fancy. They installed a small table on each chair which is kind of a hindrance because you can't totally move it away. I definitely think that the table could have been better designed where it completely goes away but I'm glad it was there. Our food came in about 20 minutes which was right in time for the movie. They came with real plates which is nice but they only offer plastic silverware which was kind of a let down. If you're going to serve food on proper plates, you would think that they could provide real silverware. The food itself was actually quite good! The Chopped Cobb Salad had a decent amount of chicken, a good amount of dressing and a lot of bleu cheese which I love. The tater tots are also good but I was very impressed with the brussels sprouts w/ bacon. I could not believe that that a movie theatre would have brussels sprouts. They also let you customize your sandwich which is nice. Overall I liked having a premium experience at a movie theatre. You are paying a hefty amount of money for average restaurant style food but there are times where you want to watch a movie at dinner time. The comfortable chairs, large screens, and cleanliness definitely make this a top movie theatre for me. I just wish they didn't charge you to deliver your food to you. It would also be good if you could just order through the AMC mobile app. read more

This is a very good theater in a busy shopping center. There are fourteen screens, so you should be able to see what you want to see. Seating is first come first serve. Those seats are full sized, comfy and come with a cup holder. There's a decent amount of space between you and the row in front of you, but depending on yours or their size, you may have to stand to let somebody pass. No biggie though, there shouldn't be any other issues during your movie. [Edit: I am told some theaters allow you to reserve your seats. It's only a few screens, but the option is there. You might check the AMC website.] Concessions have, as of this posting, recently been renovated. The normal movie concessions are now over to the right where as a more upscale counter is over to the left. It's a bit confusing because not only do both sides offer different items, but they also each have two lines, one for AMC points members and one for general customers. People sometimes accidentally get in the wrong lines and cause a back up. Besides that, the food quality is good and the staff is quite pleasant. read more

Love the big red recliner seats. Each seat has their own table too so you can eat and put your drink on it. This place is pretty roomy and it's very handicapped accessible. Staff were nice and also the concessions and drinks are easy to get. If you ordered your food, they can delivered it fresh and to your reserved seat. Good size large screen to see your latest movie! Had a bad experience. Haven't been to AMC for awhile. Used to go a lot until new B&B was built and only 2 mins away from my house. But decided to give AMC Legends another shot, even though there are so many unfavorable reviews. Got tickets online, once at theater we were told we needed masks and had to wait in long slow line for a mask. Waited in Stubbs premiere line and was ignored. Had to pay for the masks and the employees were rude and this ordeal made us late to the movie. Then went to wait on the concession line where we were acknowledged as stub members but the employee was short to us and rude. No Nacho cheese for the nachos, hot dog was dry and crispy the fries were very skimpy and wasn't aware that we were going to be charged a delivery fee to have the food brought to US. We forget to order popcorn and couldn't order it online so when the rest of our food was brought we were told that we could order it at our seat give them our card and it would be brought to us. After several mins, he came back and said we would have to go wait in line. The person who brought our food was the only employee we encountered who was nice. This theater and experience was a let down. There were 5 or us so we spent over $70 just for tickets and then on food we spent almost$85 total. There was also a really loud kid next to us who spoke almost the whole movie. The sound and quality of movie was good. Bathrooms were dirty and most dispencers were out of soap. We drove over an hour round trip to get to this theater and regret that we could have just went to B &B which is much closer, cleaner and with people happy to be there and helping us. We went to see Black Phone in the early evening, very disappointed. After we bought our popcorn, my favorite part of going to the movies, we found out they had no butter for the popcorn. When we sat down I went to take a sip of my drink to find out they have dry paper straws that fall apart in your drink. read more

Not what it used to be! Getting worn out big time. The seats had tears in them and were dirty and the movie theater was completely trashed from the previous movie. We had a 10pm movie and got there 15 mins before. People were standing outside because all the seats had trash in them. We cleaned our seats ourselves so we could watch the previews. About 5 mins before the movie started, the cleaning crew showed up. They had to walk around people just to get it somewhat cleaned. read more

When you want to get out of the city for a bit, The Legends area is the place to go. Lots of shopping & the theater here is pretty nice. When you first walk up to the window outside, it can be kind of a wait. However, when we were there, the people working inside at the counter called us inside so we didn't have to wait. I will say that their snack counter leaves a bit to be desired, though. It was poorly staffed & I was worried we'd miss the start of our film because the line was long & the few kids that were working there tried their best, but when you're under staffed, it's difficult to keep up. On a Sunday afternoon, the snack bar should be well staffed. The theaters were clean, which I like to see when I come in. The seats are comfortable, but beware of the touchy sensors that raise/lower the footrests. As I shifted in my seat, the button was so sensitive that it moved my footrest several times as I got settled in. It also wasn't an icebox inside the theater, so that's a relief. They kept the theater a cool temperature without me feeling like I needed to bring gloves & a scarf to the movies. read more
