That's mold forming around the bottom of the machine and if not I still don't want that water dropping into my cup l.

I show up and the manger are standing up at the concession stand very loudly talking about an unsatisfying event. As I asked about the kitchen no of the manger intervene say the kitchen wasn't even open. When she wasn't apart of the conversation between myself or the cashier. As I was walking over to the soda machine to get my drink there is mold around the bottom of the ice machine and the water drop into my cup as I was walking around to put my drink on the counter to put my lid on. Instead of standing around and complaining the manager could be attending to the puddle I also slipped in by the soda machine instead of eavesdropping into my conversation at the front. Worst customer service ever.

Yeah, the franchise is dated. But still awesome!

Movie theaters ain't like they used to be, and that's probably a good thing. Gone are the days of seats that were too close, floors that were too sticky, and snacks that were too limited. With all of the entertainment options available to us in our own homes, theaters have had to get creative and fancy. B&B has made the jump to top-level viewing and I'm so thrilled that this Shawnee location is in my 'hood. If you want two-across large, reclining seats, then this is your jam. You can reserve your seats online, or buy at the window, and then indulge in any number of concession options. B&B even offers adult drinky drinks should you need a little extra help making it through the show. If you'd like to visit the moviehouse on a more frequent basis, then I highly recommend setting up an account with their Backstage Pass rewards program. Just a few visits provides nice returns in the form of perks & discounts. B&B has plenty of locations locally, whether in the 'burbs or in the city, and you can visit any of them. A good movie should be an *experience*, and that's just what B&B Shawnee is delivering.

Wanted to see this movie was very excited. The booking process was easy online the ticket was purchased. The total was $40.00. The movie theater service was great. The food was hot and fresh. The order consisted of a cheeseburger and chicken tenders with fries. We was awesome. The theater was very clean. There was only four people in the theater total. we didn't decide to go to the theater option with the fire, wind and air. Highly recommended. You are immersed in the film.

fuck b&b their machines dont work and then get pissed when theres nowhere to even show your ticket. got id'd and nobody else did, maybe management should work on having a better system and a better attitude

Buy online or at the theater, but if you buy online and you're a member of their loyalty program, then fees are waived. So that's a plus, breeze past the line...to encounter the concessions line(s). Derp. The IMAX theater(s) is pretty massive, seating easily a couple hundred people all comfortably tucked into their own recline-able seats. The screen is ginormous, and here's a tip: gets tickets at least row E and later. The first two rows are WAY too close to enjoy the experience. Downside? Stupid Hollywood advertising. We're there for a three-ish hour long show and we get 25-30 minutes of COMING SOON. Jeez. Couldn't that meeting just have been an email? I know the studios are laying out bazillions to make and cast films anymore, especially with streamers having their own production studios, but this old cranky man DOES NOT LIKE that much advertising. Booooo. Tickets are the same as pretty much anywhere else, with discounts for matinees and seniors. The theaters are clean and comfy, and the selection is generally great. It's the movies, so go enjoy.

There was no question that I'd even need to shop around for a better deal or experience. Mike was top notch professional, knowledgeable, and accommodating. The sound quality and screen quality was perfect, even as a Christopher Nolan film usually demands an IMAX. We connected with Michael about hosting a movie night for our volunteers and staff at the Kauffman Center for the Performing Arts, and he immediately responded to our request and scheduled a time for a site visit. From our first interaction, he was friendly, genuine, on time, and communicative without fail. He has immense knowledge about his industry & equipment and has an impressive arsenal of processes in place so that his team is ready for anything. We had to postpone our first date due to weather, and Michael was in communication with us the whole time we were working to reschedule. We even had a hiccup with our planned site the night of our rescheduled event, and he and his team pivoted their entire set-up process like it was nothing. As a person in the events industry, I cannot say enough about their unwaveringly calm demeanor and creative problem solving. The night of the event, they arrived with plenty of time to set up the screen, sound system, lights, and popcorn machine. Everything was set up on time and looked organized. The screen was bright and displayed the picture beautifully, and the sound system was top notch. Michael and his team worked tirelessly to make our event seamless so that our staff could enjoy the event as well, and they thought of every little thing. They were prepared for anything & the pinnacle of professionalism, and I cannot wait to work with them again!

Just off of Metcalf, nestled in Downtown Overland Park, you'll find the theater's electric blue and pink bright lights of this one-screen theater, and truly one of the most enjoyable movie theaters in Kansas City. The Rio was built in 1947 and has been updated somewhat recently to blend the old feel of the theater with the new. You buy your ticket from the street and then enter into the tiny lobby to pick up extremely low priced candy and popcorn out of the big, vintage popcorn maker. There are so many movie theaters trying to create a special experience to get people away from their Netflix and into the movies. The Rio already has a special energy about it that is nearly impossible to replicate. In the movie we saw this past weekend, there was a 3 minute video right before to movie started. It featured a guy across the street from The Rio, artfully shot and talking to his buddy about how his girlfriend was definitely the one. The audience started murmuring as people wondered what this was about, and then they quickly picked up the fact that this guy was about to come into the theater and propose to his girlfriend. Pretty cool way to kick off the movie, and a pretty cool way to show off the little gem tucked away off of Metcalf.

The lobby has a small concession stand with some snacks - again, less expensive than bigger theaters! The inside of the theater is like a blast from the past. The employees are super nice. No stadium seating, neon palm trees on the walls. The chairs are squeaky but comfortable, and the average age of patrons is at least middle age. Somehow, that combination is charming and endearing and I love coming here on a Friday night. Just a warning: the movies aren't the top box earners. They're artsy and unique most of the time, but lots are worth seeing. Also noteworthy: they frequently have a groupon! $15 for two tickets and two popcorns. Pretty good if you ask me!
