If I could give zero stars, I would. We showed up a few minutes late to our 8:00 PM movie, and the staff flat-out refused to let us in. No flexibility, no understanding -- just a cold "you're too late" and that was it. To make matters worse, they wouldn't even issue a refund or a credit. We didn't get to see the movie, and we didn't get our money back. Instead, we got attitude and rudeness from the staff, who acted like we were the problem for expecting even a basic level of customer service. I get that there are policies, but there's a difference between following rules and being completely unhelpful and disrespectful. There was no signage warning about a hard cutoff, no heads-up when we bought tickets, nothing. Just an expensive lesson in how NOT to treat paying customers. Save your time and money -- go literally anywhere else. read more

If you want a horrible theater experience all around, this is yout place! First showing of the day, informed that the popcorn popper was broken and had been for days. This is your biggest revenue, not the movies. The bathroom qe disgusting and had not been cleaned nor maintained. There are qork around for all of this...di your jobs! read more

Went back to the movies for the first time since the pandemic. The theatre, concession area, and bathrooms were clean (6:30 pm on a Thursday). Sadly the place was pretty empty so I guess that's why there were soooo many commercials - they need to generate revenue? Love the movie previews tho so... The Eternals was very good and I'm glad we went after such a long hiatus! read more

This theater is the worst AMC I've been to in a while. I've had an issue every time I've come here over the last year or so. The manager does not care at all. The guy sits in his office and does nothing about any of the issues the theater has. Today, my movie is in theater #5. Smells like all the cats of the neighborhood live in this theater. You should see the stains on the carpet. Looks like it hasn't been cleaned in 20 years or more. Everyone was talking about how bad the smell was while we were waiting for the movie to start. Strangers who didn't know each other all together openly talking about how disgusting the theater is. Meanwhile there are 10 high schoolers standing at concessions doin nothing. For one night or one early morning schedule everyone then go get carpet cleaners from Walmart and clean the theater two or three times. Buy some of those commercial air fresheners you see attached to the wall in bathrooms and attach them all over the place. This review doesn't even mention people talking during the movie. The movie starting late constantly etc. The biggest issue is the manager guy. He could care less and does NOTHING to make the theater more professional or a better experience for movie goers. read more

We saw The Sound of Freedom today on screen 14. It was hot and muggy in that particular theater (not the whole place) so I got up and asked them to turn the air down. They told me they couldn't because it was controlled remotely by their home office. That is the most ridiculous thing I've ever heard, and the worst kind of customer service ever. I know it's not the Ritz Carlton but they'd do well to learn from them. ALWAYS take responsibility to solve a problem when one is presented to you by a customer, NEVER say you can't do anything. The theater also appeared extremely short staffed, which meant there was a long line and it was very difficult to find anyone to help me. The place seems unkept and run down too. read more

Terrible customer service and unhelpful staff. The AC was turned way up and it was hot and uncomfortable. We are rewards meme we and they couldn't even acknowledge it! I will go to another theater if given an option. I spent quite a bit of money there tonight and thought the whole experience was not worth it. Will go elsewhere. read more

We all know that going to the movies has become more and more expensive, but you also hope that with the increased price you get better quality for your money. Not the case here. Matinee prices are a safe bet, but be prepared to get robbed at the concession stand with it being $14 for a large coke and large popcorn. There aren't any popcorn deals for smaller options. The theater itself is the older style where everyone comes in and sits wherever they want. The seats seem small and there's no leg room, so if someone has to walk in front of you, be prepared to touch strangers in all sorts of places you don't want to. The movie we saw had a sound glitch, so they paused it and restarted it. Still had the sound issue. The manger came in, apologized, and then restarted the movie (we were 25mins in) again. This time the sound was better, but we had also been sitting in the theater for over an hour. Spend a little extra and go across the river to reclining seats and an overall better experience. read more

Getting through line, and getting my ticket, I was not asked if I was at AMC rewards. I am, although I may not look like it. Cuz I got to the concession plotting, I told the guy that I wanted the biggest ass Dasani water. He's smart and smiled, we shared a moment, he got my water and the joke. This theater is nice and new and overall very good. Seats are comfortable, the bathrooms are good and the entire lobby is nice too. Its a little far for me to go for a movie compared to Hamilton place area but over all this is a nice theater. The sound and video quality is good too so don't hesitate to go here if the movie you want is playing. read more

Really like this theater. Staff is Always friendly and the inside of the theaters are clean. The restrooms are hit and miss, but mostly hit. The popcorn bucket refill is a great deal and the popcorn is always tasty and I like mine with butter. Yep this is the new original movie theater that will have you coming back for a sequel that will deliver every time. read more

My god..this place has been open since I was in high school IN 2006 (I specifically remembering seeing Ultraviolet here) and there are only two reviews AND THEY'RE FROM THIS YEAR (lbr also not very useful)??? lawd. So as someone who has come to this theatre on and off over the course of almost 8 years, it's your average movie theatre. It's the only one on this side of the river so there's that. You buy your tickets inside rather than at a box office outside. It gets a bit cramped in there, the lobby is rather small. The entire place does seem a bit smaller than you'd expect for being the one theatre in this general area. It's a much nicer experience if you're not here at a peak movie time. If you are though there are a couple things to keep in mind. Don't even bother trying to get into a bathroom after a movie lets out. It seems like you're more than likely to find yours ending at the same time as a few others and the bathrooms are very small. Small tends to be the name of the game here. As movies come out they eventually move to one of the smaller theatres so during a popular moviegoing time you might want to show up pretty early to make sure you get a seat. I last came to see Catching Fire two days after Christmas and the theatre was probably 97% full. They claim to have a certain time you can go into the theatre but nobody really listens and nobody stops you anyway. The nice thing about their concession prices is that they include sales tax. A large soda is 48 oz and costs $6.10. My parents buy the annual popcorn bucket, which is $19.75 upfront and gets you $3.75 fills any time you come in for that calendar year. Also if you hold on to your old bucket it looks like they give you a deal if you get the next year's, in this case it was a free large soda. They have specials on Tuesdays with $2 sodas and popcorn. They also have a special $5.50 matinee price on movies that start between 4 and 5:30, which is like the one thing that has been unchanging throughout all these years. Overall, not a bad place to see a movie. It's not the nicest theatre ever since it's not that new anymore, but it is certainly good enough. It's clean, the stadium seating means nobody's fat head is going to be in your way, and the screen and sound are excellent. read more

I wasn't overly impressed with this location the handful of times I have gone to this location. Almost always has been very dirty, customer service is lacking to say the least and the food was stale both times I wasted my money on it. Not sure who is in charge of this location, but whoever it is needs to do a major overhaul here. read more

For a movie theater, it's pretty on par with all the others. For the most part it's clean (or you can see they are trying to keep it clean) and the workers are friendly (they are teens and young adults just now learning customer service folks, think back to your skills on your first job). Most important to me- the seats are comfortable and the sound quality is pretty good. read more

Cold! Very little heat in the winter time. Bring a blanket! And what's with making everyone go through concessions to purchase tickets?

Started off bummed to learn there's no student discount. We tried to offer extra change so we could get whole dollars back and almost broke the clerk requiring him to not use his computer for math. He couldn't do it. Then we got into the theatre and it was still dirty from the previous movie. Would like to say this is our first poor experience at this location but it's not. This was the first time we had been to this theater and we went on a Tuesday afternoon to avoid crowds. As with previous reviews you buy your ticket and refreshments all at one time which I think would really cause a backup when busy. I had seen a small blip on the Carmike site that they had closed captioning available. My being partially deaf I don't go to many movies but this made me curious so I asked about it as I was buying my ticket. The young man knew it was available but that was about all but he immediately went and got the manager who brought out an item that you plug into the coke holder of your seat. There is a small screen that the captioning then comes up on. I didn't need it the complete movie but was nice to have when I did. Thanks to this I will be going to a lot more movies and at this theater. read more

I took my grandchildren to see a movie this past week. I will undoubtedly find another theatre to patronize. Smelled like vomit from the moment we entered until we left. Too many previews for my liking....putting that aside......there was a massive amount of popcorn on floor in front of popcorn machine.....they were not that busy....so not an excuse. Worst theater for the movie. Hateful staff, that doesn't understand customer service. Awful prices that claim to be "saving you money" when they are just price gouging. This theater has been open long enough to more than have paid for their digital quality. Only good thing about this is its in a decent location. I guess that's what we are paying for. $10.75 per ticket for an adult. How ridiculous is this? I really hope the owners read this and realize how ridiculous this is. And what type of family friendly establishment doesn't offer a military discount. Common courtesy apparently doesn't mean anything to these price gouging bastards. read more

I was at this theater yesterday. It must have been 50 degrees in there. I took my mother who has arthritus. She had to wear her gloves and we all huddled. I would rather pay more for a movie ticket and be comfortable. When they advertise, they should include: Please wear long johns and warm clothes, ie, hat, scarf, blanket, gloves, also bring tissues as your nose will run from freezing. Now I know why I haven't been to a movie theater in years. Big screen and graphics are great. But when your freezing, it is not enjoyable or worth it. read more

My wife and I just moved to the area, and decided to give this theater a try. The first time we went, the picture was poorly-projected (framed at an angle). Normally that would be a deal-breaker, but we went again last night to give it another shot. This time, in a different movie on a different screen, the projection was STILL misaligned. That's to say nothing of the ill-managed lines. I won't be giving them a third chance to ruin the theatrical experience (while paying a bunch of money for the "privilege." There are many other theaters around; patronize one of them instead. read more
