I haven't been in this theater in YEARS. Remember that movie Changling? With Angelina Joelie back I'm 2008, I was in the middle of that movie when a rat came hoping up the stairs the theater room. Was this problem ever taken care of? I remember going to the lobby banging on a mangers door and nobody coming out. It was a late night showing, the lobby was empty. I left. Ugh! Does not accept student IDs for discounts. Matinée price is before 5 I believe. Tuesdays are dollar popcorn and drink. They offer 2012 popcorn buckets too where refills are only $3.50 for the year. Nice surround sound, clean theaters, lots of seating. It is more expensive than other theaters in town by about $1.00 per ticket. They have booster theater seats for kids. Plenty of parking. Buy your tickets inside - there is no outside booth. Mini arcade area for kids and some inside seating at tables available. read more

I have been to see many movies here & I have always been please. The bathrooms & theater rooms are always clean. Not sure about popcorn or drink prices I always eat before or after I have a problem with popcorn & drinks being over a few dollars. read more

It's funny to see a place charge 17$ for snacks but the men's bathroom is a swamp. I mean maybe that's what they were going for since we are close to Louisiana? Who knows. Seriously though I went I this movie theater when Suicide Squad came out and the middle urinal was broke. Just saw Magnificent 7 and it's still broken. I mean how? You charge 6$ for a drink l, where does that money go. Obviously not in fixing your equipment or stopping a leak that turns something in to a swamp. read more

We enjoyed our time at this theater! Getting our tickets went fast. Getting our refreshments took a while for the amount of people that were in line but the staff was very cordial which was nice. Loved that the seats were spaced out well and comfortable. read more

For me, this place is a cut above the competition in Tyler. My only complaint is they always seem to be understaffed at the concession. Lines that are ten people deep seem to be the norm when we visit. read more

What has happened to this place??? The exterior is lacking the sparkle it once had. In fact, it really has nothing but the letters, AMC. The lobby is renovated and somewhat decent. The concessions are average, but those aren't movie theater nachos. Nothing could quite prepare me for what I was about to encounter as I sat through my two hour movie. The stench was overwhelming as soon as I entered the actual theater. It smells like an old, uninhabited museum. The damper in the AC system must be busted because the air is some kind of stale. I just can't quite explain it, but it took my appetite for my not-movie-theater nachos away. Trash bags are over seats with a sign, Houston, we have a problem!" Other seats have busted seams and not much cushion remaining. The floors are desolate and completely unsanitary. This was what was seen in the dim lighting. AMC Tyler 14 - Cinema Near Me - Tyler, Texas

This place has gone down hill since it switched from Carmike to AMC. The first time I had went to this theater since the switch, the employees were arguing very loudly about who was supposed to be coming in to work in front of the customers. However, I decided to give it another try. I went yesterday and the popcorn was cold and stale, you can no longer get a small size popcorn or the flavored variety. Over $7.00 for a regular size? I was considering getting nachos, until I saw the man in front of me get what looked like a Tostitos nacho box for $9.00. No thanks. The floors in front of the drink dispenser were sticky and the counter where the lids for the cups was sticky as well. Most of the seats in the top row of theater 11 we're broken. Bathrooms were dirty/out of order. The paper towel dispensers do not work. I will not be returning. read more

Horrible.... worst movie experience EVER!! Line was out the door with one guy at the register. After a while another girl opened up. Concession area was disgusting. Food and trash on the floor. Drink area was a complete mess. Bathroom was nasty too. Trash over flowing. Then to top it off, they were having problems with the heat in some auditoriums. I had to show my ID to get into an R movie... I'm 23. Employee was super rude and not helpful and had to inconvenience me. I don't even get asked to show my ID at bars... I don't look 17. Concessions are overpriced and theaters are hot and dirty. We are in Texas. Turn on the AC. read more

We saw Black panther yesterday in the Imax, movie was great, customer service was great. Especially since all 4 employees that were there were doing Everything!!! I felt so sorry for them! Only 1 counter up front has 2 computers for ticket sales, line was out the door, and those 2 people were flying as fast as they could and had great customer service and you know they were stressed! Only 2 people at the concession stand... one is trying to take orders and get drinks, other one is flying around making pretzels, getting popcorn, loading ice! I felt bad for them. Hey AMC!! It's Saturday night!! Hire some more employees!! Good grief! read more

Carmike is my favorite in Tyler. This is the only theatre I go to to watch the latest movies.

Terrible management staff - all theaters can have issues with the equipment but the Tyler management staff have no clue as how to treat the customers when problems occur - they try to hide. read more

I phoned the theatre to ask when they were going to show "The Letters". The auto prompt only had two options, and neither of them were applicable. I then heard "Good by". No option to ask a question. This shows a lack of desire to communicate with customers. Bad PR. read more

Do not waste your money here for goodness sakes!!! I took my family out to watch the new Jurassic World movie last night at the 10pm IMAX 3D showing and already paid for the tickets through fandango and the seats are reserved seating. The moment we walked in the place was a disgusting dump, the restrooms are worse then a public restroom at federal park or the worst gas station. The concessions was filthy and full of over priced old, cold, and stale popcorn. When we got to our seats they was covered with spilt drinks and looked like human bodily fluids and soaked wet napkins stuffed in the cup holders and popcorn butter in the seats. I went to complain about it and they told me to sit anywhere I want and so we did then found out that we still had to move because those seats are reserved by another family so we had to move back to our seats. So I demanded to speak with the manager and she was like what is your problem now. I explained the situation and she gives me her she don't care and don't bother me attitude and told me to bare with them that they had 3,000 people today but there was hardly anyone there when we got there 30min before starting time. All the employees were all standing around looking like they and nothing to do. The manager just didn't care but since I was making a such a huge fuss about it she made one of the employees go clean our seats just to get us to shut up. I would have just wanted to get a refund back but it would have been a huge hassle trying to get it back from fandango. So we just bared through this crap after they cleaned our seats which ended up probably being the cleanest area in the entire theater. They wouldn't even try to clean in between showing at all. This place is just trash avoid going here if you don't want to pick up some kind of diseases and get sick from the filth and breathing that crap it. It's a roach paradise. Needs new management or torn down and start new!!! Go to (studio movie grill) its cheaper and the place is way better and very clean. They also have veteran discounts. read more

Typical large corporate chain movie theater. Plenty of parking but a pain to get out of. Theaters are mostly clean and the seats are comfortable. The newer large iMax type theaters are nice. Concessions are as usual stupidly overpriced. The Chicago popcorn is out of this world. I bought one of their refill for $4 tubs and go get the popcorn to eat at home. It's $8 for the "gourmet" fill up. For me and the wife a movie with concessions cost about $75. Kinda expensive for a movie. read more

My husband and I saw Hacksaw Ridge here yesterday (Saturday). Excellent movie btw! We got there just a few minutes before the movie started at 12:30. I thought the tickets were a little pricey, especially for a matinee show, but it is what it is. The popcorn and drinks are overpriced, which is very typical of any theater I've been to. The temperature inside was comfortable to me, which isn't the norm since I'm usually cold. They showed over 20 minutes of previews- that was a little annoying. We were in Tyler for a one day get away, I don't know if we would go back here or not. read more

My wife and 2 small grandchildren came in around 4:30 to see a children's movie. Getting refreshment was a disaster with 4 employees behind the counter and only 1 line. my wife saw the female employee stand at another spot, so she went over and ask if this was another line. Employee stated no. wife went back to line she was in and 2 guys came up behind her and stood for a minute or two and then walked over to another area of counter and 1 of the employees walked over and took there order. When wife finally got to order, she told them that she was displease and that were now late for movie could they hurry. The employee behind counter the took out a roll of coins and slowly took them out a few coins at a time. There's others theatres for viewing movies and that's where my business will be from now on . read more

I ended up having to go to Carmike since Times Square Cinema was not showing the movie I wanted to see. The movie was in their Big-D theater, which has a $2.00 surcharge on top of their already expensive tickets. Their popcorn tasted like it was old and stale. That might have been because it is popped upstairs and comes down a plastic chute. The employee that was helping me was not the friendliest employee either. All and all, I will either watch movies at Times Square Cinema or wait for them to come out on DVD before going back to Carmike. read more

It seemed very understaffed. When waiting for my order, the workers received no help from the blonde girl sitting on the floor counting cups and on the phone. I most defiantly won't be coming back.
