The number one thing that I care about it that the seats and comfortable. At this AMC the seats are very comfortable and recline as well! The staff were nice. There is plenty of parking. I ordered the everything pretzel before entering the theater. Highly recommend getting this if you are hungry but not in the mood for popcorn. Points off because the picture quality just did not seem very good. Most theaters I go to the screens are bigger and stretch all the way across the wall this one is much shorter. We saw Avatar 2 here in 3D and I know that 3D distorts the quality, but I wish we just waited until we went to a theater with an IMAX or Dolby. The staff here were wonderful. However, when I walked into the theatre room to watch the movie, there was a sort of an awful smell. This theatre needs major renovation. Ever since they got the reclining seats a few years ago this is the only movie theater I go to when I'm in town. Just went there tonight and they changed their seats. Instead of nice plushy oversized seats, they are smaller and recline back half the distance of the old chairs. I don't know why they would change it since to me it didn't seem like there were more seats than before. I'm sure I'll still choose AMC over Regal but now I might not be so quick to go to the movies as I normally would be. read more

Best place to watch a movie. Has completely ruined movie theaters for me, forever. I refuse to go anywhere else (that doesn't have equal comfort). The recliners are awesome. They are very comfortable. Yes, the concession stand is pricey, but those are the general prices for movie theaters in this day and age. I love being able to pick my seats online and pay in advance. Also, love skipping the long ticket lines and printing the prepaid tickets at the kiosks. Very customer friendly and easy process overall. My only complaint is people tend to get so comfortable they literally fall asleep and snore loudly. Super distracting. Maybe put a disclaimer after the "please, turn of your cell phone" notice to not snore? Half-joking. Best movie theater I've ever been too. read more

I see that there is only one review of this theater and it is a couple of years old. Given the recent renovations at this theater, it bears some new consideration. The AMC shut down in the Fall for approximately 2 to 3 months to renovate the theater and it was well worth the wait. The theaters have excellent picture quality, with all new digital projectors. But, the seating is what everyone seems to be talking about. The reclining leather seats are extremely comfortable. Even if you get stuck in one of the front rows, the seating reclines enough to make the movie watchable. The main problem with the theater is now that they are more popular since the renovation, it is very frequent to experience sellouts, especially on the weekend. I would strongly encourage buying tickets in advance. Now, let's talk about ticketing pricing. It used to be that Regal was the premiere cinema in the Binghamton area, so it could merit charging a couple more bucks a ticket. But now--AMC is not only the higher quality experience, but also consistentlyi cheaper! At Regal, matinee tickets are $7.00 (before 3 or 4) and then $9.50 for any regular showing. At AMC, All shows before 6 PM Monday through Thursday, and everything before 11:55 AM on Friday-Sunday and holidays, all tickets are $4.50. And, in the evening, Monday through Thursday, they are $6.75. Even on Friday through Sunday nights, they are still $9. If you've got a family of 4 like I do, catching an early movie can save you $20 over Regal. That's nuts! So, in short, reasonable ticket pricing, better projection quality and crazy comfortable seats. I don't know why anyone would ever choose to go to Regal over AMC. read more

This theater is absolutely fantastic. It definitely brings back a great feeling of going to the movie theater. A great big open hall as you walk in and a 360° condescension stand in the middle. The newly renovated theaters are such a delight. Personal seats that recline back and are so sift and comfy. It's better then watching a movie at home. They are so comfy there have been a few times I've almost fallen asleep in them! Whenever I'm looking to go see a movie I check the times for this place first. I would absolutely recommend their "stubs" program. It's very cheap, usually $12/year, and it waives online charges, and upgrades your concession purchases. I.E. You order a medium and they give you large instead. Like I said this place brings back the great "going to the movies" atmosphere. Can't wait to go more! read more

I've been to this place a few times. Once I saw a movie I hated, the other time a movie I loved. They have assigned seating now so there are no surprises when you walk in. EXCEPT THE AMAZING RECLINERS! This theater has the nicest staff in the triple cities. They seem genuinely happy to work there. Customer service can be a tough gig, but I've never gotten bad attitude or lazy service from anyone here. The lobby was clean, and so were the inside of the theaters. There's carpet in there, which you would thing is disgusting, there are cushioned recliners which you would thing is potential disaster - but neither the floor or my seats have ever been sticky. The snacks are expensive of course, but it's a movie theater and you should know that already. read more

Amc really has something great going with the design of its newer theaters. The seats are just great. With the oversized chairs giving you plenty of room between yourself and the strangers that may be next to you, it really allows you to ignore distractions and get into the movie. The chairs are electric recline as well, and that's a nice touch. The only thing that I didn't like are the upholders are on one side, meaning you need to decided between you and your neighbor who gets the front one and who gets the back. Not a big deal. The screens large and slightly curved to allow a great view from anywhere in the theatre. The one thing holding me back from rating 5 stars was the lines. I spent 10 minutes trying to print my pre purchase tickets waiting in line. Then I spent another 10 minutes getting popcorn. They only had two registers open in each area, and it was a bottle neck. They have more registers, however none were open. Overall I'm glad I drove out of the way to come here as I don't think I would have enjoyed the movie so much if I went to a smaller theatre. read more

Went to see Old as our first movie after the covid closures and were disappointed. Theater was uncomfortably warm and movie kept going in and out of focus. Glad that they made unlimited refills on popcorn and drinks but that was the only good thing. Hopefully next time they will have the AC fixed. read more

Hands down the best theater I have been to. The prices here are very reasonable for the area. Whenever I visit the Binghamton area I make a point to visit the theater to enjoy a movie. The online ticket reservations make things very easy and reward those who are smart enough to plan ahead. I really wish every theater would learn from this. read more

I've been to a lot of theaters and AMC Loews theater in Vestal is actually really good. I think the one thing that makes this theater great is that it has really good seating. The seats are wide and they can recline back, which is a huge plus. Other than that there isn't a whole lot about this theater that makes it any better than the other ones around here. I mean the seats are great, but the problems they add aren't worth it IMO. Looking at it from a business point of view it doesn't really make sense. Because the seats are so large the theaters can't be filled with as many people, so they sellout often, and there aren't as many good seats. They just started implementing reserve seating, which wasn't that great since someone took my seat anyway.. The concessions are crap... The screen quality and sound aren't that good. . Overall I wasn't too impressed with this theater, but it's probably the best one in town so I'll have to choose it over the others. read more

If you are going to see a movie in the Binghamton area then you should definitely be going to AMC Vestal Town Square 9! The leather oversized reclining seats are the best thing ever invented for movie watching. The ticket prices are reasonable. The only problem is that with the larger chairs that seats are obviously more limited and you have to reserve where you are going to sit. It makes it much more difficult if you're one of those people that likes to see what's playing last minute or while you're out on the Vestal Parkway. So after getting pretzels and having the cinnamon sugar and the icing was given. Sat down and opened the icing and it was separated. Went back to the counter and asked about another icing and they gave me another one and that was separated. Asked for different pretzels and would not change out the order as it was completed. If I wanted something different I would have to pay for another one. No thanks. That's a BS policy. Take care of your customer. I ordered two medium ices, and two nachos chips and cheese it came to $28 and the ices were watery, and cheese was cold, I brought my Husband for his birthday, he was so disappointed with it. This is a nice movie theater -- it's relatively clean, the service has been pretty good, and it's not overcrowded. A lot of people rave about the reclining seats -- I'm personally not a huge fan of recliners. It's honestly more comfortable for long periods of sitting for me to sit more upright. When it comes to creating a nice moviegoing experience I would say this place is pretty successful. We have not tried any of the concessions but I have heard that it is standard movie theater fare for the standard price. It is still more convenient to stay home and stream movies but the half dozen times a year we feel compelled to see a movie in the theater we usually choose this place. read more

I have been here to see a few movies, being the movie buff I am. I have the day that this place has given me some really good viewing experiences. I have seen The Hunger Games: Mockingjay Part 1 and 2, Batman V Superman, Captain America: Civil War, and Deadpool here. The viewing expireinces have been great. The 3D here is ok. I normally like it better when you can take the 3D glasses off and still enjoy the film in regular 2D. I get that it's the point to see the movie in 3D, but your eyes do get a bit weary after a while. Everybody often talks about how the recliners are amazing, and personally I do agree. They are rather comfy and you can adjust the incline or whatever. The staff here is pretty nice as well. Nothing exactly notable though. The food here is great too. Though, as with most Movie Theatres, it is overpriced. It's like $3.00 for a small pack of candy. Though, the popcorn price is reasonable at, I think, $8.00 for a large. The ticket prices are also pretty good at like $10 for an adult, $7.50 for a child, and $8 for Elderly. One complaint I do have is the lack of Indie films they screen. I know that they do have this at some locations, but I believe that they do have the money to set it up here. A lot of people reading this may be saying, "Then go to an Arthouse Theatre!" The thing is that there is a lack of them in the area. Come to think of it, there aren't many in Broome County alltogether. So, overall I give it a great 4 Stars. This movie theatre is fantastic! The reclining seats are always clean and comfy, the staff is friendly, and the snacks they offer are delicious. We were there yesterday to see a film and we renewed our AMC Stubs membership, which is awesome as well. Only $12 per year for a membership, and you accumulate rewards so fast, we have enjoyed many free popcorns and tasty beverages. We also enjoy the waved convenience fee when ordering tickets online. The concession stand and butter stations are always clean as well, and they do a great job of maintaining the bathrooms. Overall, great place, great staff, and we will always choose this theatre every time we want to see a movie. Great job AMC Vestal!!! read more

Only one problem, while getting tickets online, in my opinion it should be more precise. More than once when we habe bought tickets online that the time was wrong, or it was a different date. This movie theater is phenomenal. It has been completely redone since the Binghamton flood in 2011. They have the best seats I have ever seen in a movie theater. They are red leather and also recline. The theater is pretty large and has always had the movie I wanted to see available. I highly recommend this theater to anyone in the Binghamton area, it is very clean, affordable and just overall and excellent theater. read more

This is now my favorite movie theater. The new seats are amazing. I have considered paying just to come take a nap here. The only downside of the new seats is that it limits capacity, so you will probably have to order tickets online early for new movies. Prices are reasonable and it is usually very clean. read more

This is the best movie theater I have ever been to. The assigned seating is a great innovation. You know exactly where you will be and you can opt to see a different movie if the seat you want / need is not available. In Binghamton there are really only 2 movie theaters, Regal and Amc. Everyone is loving Amc for their recliners, I would hate to share the horror stories that people I know have committed in those dirty seats. And to make it worse, you have to pick your seat before you are even in the tiny theater. The picture quality and sound quality are nothing compared to Regal, and I asked one of the employees at Regal about the screen sizes, the smallest screen in Regal is bigger than the biggest screen at Amc. Yes Amc is cheaper but I would rather pay more to watch a movie on a bigger screen, with better sound quality, in a chair that most likely isn't the vessel for acts I shouldn't share on this site. read more
