We ordered the top item on the menu, the cheese steak sandwich, added some peppers. It was quite good. The fries here are and definitely get an order. The problem happened when I ordered the house burger- another top menu item. I asked for "medium rare", which should have a hot center but some pink left. What I got was well done- and dry as the desert. I had to drink a lot of water to wash it down. Normally-if this was a steak, I'd send it back. But- it was a burger and the kitchen was already jammed, so I choked it down- I was really hungry. I would not order the steak here- pretty sure a 6 ounce filet would end badly. Other dishes being served at other tables looked great. I would come back here. It's a great place. Thus- 5 stars.

My request was tapped out, but it turned out, the replacement was even better. A delicious nut brown ale. Wines were also very good albeit a tad pricey. The price special mentioned above helped. Overall bill was on the high side partly due to the drinks and slightly higher prices for the non-special meals - even with the price breaks. Needs work. We were two couples. Sat near the maître d' podium. The inside door of the foyer kept sticking open. Had to get up to close several times as it was about 5 degrees outside. Not a huge issue but should not have been an issue at all. Slightly more annoying was the noise level. The restaurant was full and very noisy. It was a bit challenging to have a conversation at our location. It eventually quieted down and all was well. Definitely something that needs improvement though. The menu is a little more extensive than donuts, as they also have hoagies and shareables and of course coffee/ juices. For whatever reason, somebody decided to put donuts with beer... It's one of those weekends where you get to step into your kid's world a bit and actually see why they love it here.
