We always travel with Clorox wipes and after wiping blood, yuckiness and whatever else the spots, streaks and globs were from the high touch areas we new the room wasn't cleaned! There were half used toiletries in the room and previous guest dirty clothes. And while there weren't many guests, the hotel didn't have a clean room to move us to. Additionally, they didn't have clean towels. We had to use mini-towels. Not a huge deal but neither is doing laundry. A couple of negatives: I managed to scrape my knee multiple times on the mesh desk chair. Gratefully my friends with the three kids had stuff to sooth the scratches and mitigate the sting- as I worried I might be a slurpee buffet to Killeen's mosquitoes. The soap and lotion had a petro-chemical feel and smell- that was a bit off. I know oil is big in Texas- maybe this is the hotel's attempt at keeping things local. There was chipped paint in the bathtub on the grab bar- but the room was otherwise in great condition. Would I stay here again? Definitely.
