I asked him specifically if there would be any charges or penalty if I changed my account. He assured me that the full value of my annuity would be transferred. A few days later I received a closing statement and learned that my account had been indeed penalized to the tune of several thousand dollars. When I contacted Steve he offered to put the money back in my annuity, but unfortunately it wouldn't be the full amount as according to him, my funds had lost value during these few days. I wouldn't have made the change if he had told me about the penalty when I asked him. Now we will have to rely on the courts to try to get our money back.
