I often refer clients to a handful of agents so that they can choose the agent and policy that they like best. Diana CONSISTANTLY impresses my referrals with professionalism as well as beats out the other companies quotes. Not only does Intrinsic offer extremely competitive prices but I have NO DOUBT in my mind that my customers will be taken care of. She is always looking out for the clients best interest. There has not been one instance in which my client has given me any other feedback other than praise for Intrinsic and their employees. One reason insurance is such a headache to deal with is because its not easily understood by the average consumer. There can be different levels of coverage, premiums, prices, hidden costs, etc. but Intrinsic is 100% transparent. We've been with State Farm for about 6 years, as long as we've had our home. We bundled everything…read morewith car insurance. When we needed them for a catastrophic drain and water issue in our kitchen, State Farm weaseled out of coverage. Heather has been great as an agent over the years; very easy to pay them over the phone, helpful when we needed to make changes for refi, sending reminders, but the people behind her were not there when we needed them. We eventually did get help for repairs and dry out but it took a lot of anxiety, time, out of pocket expense, legal consultation, and arguing with other agents in the chain (to be clear: Heather was not involved in this part of the process). Insurance companies predictably write contracts that make it difficult to make claims. State Farm at least, in my experience, has been good at using those contracts against us. Maybe insurance companies are all like this, but I was surprised and disappointed at how aggressively they interpreted any ambiguity in the contracts AGAINST our situation. The kind of flooding we had (a burst pipe collar behind our sink, in the wall) seemed like the type of thing that we have insurance for in the first place.

The person I was working with had a terrible attitude so I asked to speak to the supervisor. The manager called me back a short while later and helped me with my issue. I was not happy with my experience from the original person I spoke with so I asked how do I switch agencies. She told me the process but expressed how she would not like to lose me as a customer. I told her I did not appreciate the way I was treated and will be looking for a new agent. At that time she tried to manipulate late me by telling me the first person I spoke to just found out 10 minutes prior to her calling me back that he husband had cancer. With all do respect, I am sorry but that is not something you burden the customer with. I understand that she was under stress, but she should not have been at work let alone calling customers back.

We had several bad experiences with various insurance companies, non responsive agents, and a friend recommended Jack Chew Insurance. He said they were a brokerage, so they could shop around different companies to get us a good rate and coverage, which was cool (we were used to going directly to the insurance companies). I called for an auto quote and spoke with Glenn, and he was very responsive and informative. He went over in detail all the coverage's and discounts that we were eligible for and he found us a good premium for our auto and was able to get us a great deal for our homeowners.
