When we arrived we deplaned into the jetway and walked through the small waiting area to baggage claim. Similarly, up in our return, we checked our bags and walked to the same small waiting area with six gates. The team at American were super friendly. When the kiosks didn't work, they called us right up and checked our bags and got us our hard copy boarding passes. The vibe was very chill and calming. The waiting area has enough seats a small table charging station, and a small marketplace for snacks. I don't think you will be waiting here too long. If you are early, you might want to take advantage of the fresh air, the airport has a reasonable outdoor space to hangout, and there's a small bar out there. It was a positive experience and a great welcome (and farewell) to the Central Coast.

Without hesitation, they offered us a ride to Enterprise, even if was just the next building over; excellent. Departure was Sunday, Mother's Day. ACI Jet was very thoughtful and gave my wife a rose for Mother's Day, what a great touch. I used this time while I was flight planning to explore the FBO. Don't buy the low score for Alaska out of SLO, but to each their own. For a small college town,…read moreAlaska has done a great job every time I use the airport. It's a small airport, it's NEVER crowded. Guess we each have our own definition of what that is, but spending many years at LAX and SFO, SLO (or SBP) is a breath of fresh air when it comes to flying. Alaska makes check in quick and simple, especially if you check in online, receiving your seat assignment. The kiosks allow you tag your bags and then drop your bags at the counter. The front end agents have been wonderful, friendly and helpful when it has come to checking in. Being a small airport you will usually see these agents at the gate, once you clear the security checkpoint. TSA.... ugh, we all loath going through this dance, the ID, the shoes, the laptops, the water, the groping. Yet, lines aren't too terribly bad (when I've flown), having TSA-Pre and Clear is a nice thing when you do see a line, but even then, getting through security usually happens quickly. With all the negative attention on TSA, have yet to have any delay or issue at the checkpoint. There is a cafe, serving a variety of coffee, some food and a small bar at the gate area. This area can get crowded but in my opinion, the agents do a good job making sure you are in the right gate area for your flight. I've had a good experience dropping off and picking up my steps-on, who is autistic. The agents on both ends have ben very helpful, allowing him to board early, to find his seat and get situated. They have also gone so far to make sure he was met in San Diego, when he was trying to connect with his dad. Thought that went above and beyond, especially these days. I am very happy with Alaska Airlines, have been since I have started flying with them in 2021. If I don't need to, I will not fly another airline. Thank you for what you all do, I've been there, did 13 years for a major airline based out of Chicago. I know how challenging it can be.

You check in at the main office downtown, then hop on a tour bus to the ranch property. Our driver was super informative and entertaining along the way. The drive itself felt like part of the experience with bumpy ranch roads, multiple gates, gorgeous scenery, and a real behind the scenes feel of the property. Once you arrive, the staff gets you geared up with all the safety equipment and everyone was incredibly friendly, professional, and great with all ages. After gearing up, you take an old Army style jeep up the mountain and that ride alone was an adventure Super rickety, steep, and fun! We felt very safe the entire time because before every single zip line, the staff carefully checked everyone's safety gear and connections. There are 6 zip lines total and each one is different with spectacular views that change throughout the course. One thing to know is that you should be in reasonably good shape because there are mini hikes between some of the zip lines. There are lots of water stations along the course, which was great, but the experience is definitely active and you do not want to hold up the group. Totally worth it though and such a memorable Central Coast adventure for families, couples, teens, and adventurous kids!

She was on time, but also flexible when she needed to be. She had to navigate Highway 41, a notoriously treacherous stretch of road with 15 MPH hairpin turns. Best part, she made the ride very comfortable. She was very cautious and reduced speed considerably on the windy parts of the road - we did not feel like we had to hang on to something keep from slipping around in our seats. Someone asked a question a few years ago of this business regarding getting help finding a hotel…read moreroom. They responded, "we can assist with pretty much everything." Maybe that was the case four years ago, but it's not any longer. I think they've become a little too exclusive for our own good. I had complicated travel plans and I really needed help putting it together (multiple countries, flights, trains, hotels, things to see, etc), so I contacted these people. The first thing they did was send me their prices. I knew there would be a cost, but I hadn't expected it to be exorbitant! I hesitated for some time, disappointed. I determined that it would probably cost me about $600 just for their service, but I finally decided to go for it, figuring the peace of mind would be worth it. Next, they asked me to provide a description of what I was looking for. So I wrote up a summary of what I had in mind and what I needed, taking a fair amount of time to do this. This was apparently passed to the agents who looked it over and decided I wasn't a suitable client. "We unfortunately cannot allocate the dedicated time needed to piece together your trip in a way that meets our high standards. For these reasons, we're very sorry that we won't be able to assist with this particular request." They want to be able to create an entire LUXURY packaged trip for you of their own creation using places they already have in their files-- that's what I got out of what they told me. So if you know you want to visit, say, Greece and have your dates but nothing else planned, and money is no object, then by all means, give them a call. I'm sure they'll put together something spectacular. But for the rest of us 99%ers, this is not the place.
