My dad has been in a wheelchair for a few months but with help can get in and out of the van. However, it was the third time that day and it was quite hot. He's not used to the Central Valley heat he's from the Bay Area. So he ran out of energy while propped against the seat of the van and his bare bandaged feet on the curb. We couldn't move him to the wheelchair just inches away. so I called the fire department for a lift assist. They sent American ambulance The two small men literally sauntered over like sloths. I am not exaggerating. Then one of them slowly pulls out his clipboard and says first we need to get a little information. It was like a bad movie. I said do you see my dad barely hanging on right here in the van?? He is about to collapse will you please help him?! Well we just need to ask a few questions. No I called you for assistance and I need you to assist my dad! He is about to collapse and if he does while you are supposed to be helping him... this is why I called the fire department. Those guys are big and can help... Well that got them moving a touch faster and they began trying to help him. It took longer than it should have as they chatted with no urgency at all about the best way to do it while poor daddy was turning pink in the hot sun hanging on for dear life. Connor and Nate. If ever I need assistance again I will be specifically asking that they do not send these boys who couldn't have cared less about helping. It really was laughable And shameful. read more

On 01/27/2026, I had to use American Ambulance, and I feel it's really important to share my experience with the community. From the moment the crew arrived, I was treated with genuine kindness, empathy, and compassion. Medical emergencies are already overwhelming and scary, but the EMTs made me feel safe, heard, and respected every step of the way. They didn't rush me, dismiss my concerns, or treat me like just another call -- they treated me like a person. They took the time to explain what they were doing, checked in with me emotionally as well as physically, and spoke to me with calm reassurance that truly made a difference during a very vulnerable moment. Their professionalism was outstanding, but what stood out most was their humanity. I'm incredibly grateful for the care I received that day. Experiences like this remind you how impactful compassionate healthcare providers are, especially in moments when you need it most. Thank you to the American Ambulance team who helped me on 01/27/2026 -- I will always remember the care you showed me. My apologies I cannot recall the two that came and cared for me until the end. American Ambulance is horrible! They picked me up on Election Day November 6, 2024 and took me to Saint Agnes hospital where I was beat up 5 times over 16 days. They treated me like nuclear waste, never spoke with me about anything and now try to act as if they had nothing to do with Saint Agony. I will never ride in a stupid American Ambulance again even if I face death. These people are barbaric and need to be reported to DOGE. read more

I would give the team that helped me more stars than allowed! They were wonderful, personable people, very professional and helpful in every way! Today I was blessed again with wonderful people doing their jobs and doing it well! Adrien, Dominic and J(not sure on the spelling!) were professional, courteous, kind and sympathetic of my needs. They handled me with care and compassion and I am forever grateful to them all. If the last two days is any indication of how American Ambulance runs their operations then I would never consider any other ambulance service to use. The 3 gentlemen that cared for me after my freak accident were more than incredible; Josh, JP and Anthony, I can't thank you enough. You were so respectful and made a huge effort to keep me covered respectfully since my clothes had to be cut off. You communicated clearly and kept me relatively calm but were kind and encouraging and patient when I simply couldn't control my responses. I was scared and in pain but you made me feel very safe. Your team was quick and efficient and you all handled your individual responsibilities in unison. I think I remember seeing a Training Academy Logo on one of the EMTs and I give thanks to your training.
