Took the car to another place (Jensen, which is what we typically use). The car PASSED a coolant pressure test (I assume Prime didn't even do that) and means it's NOT head gaskets leaking. Also, we have no overheating and no white smoke from the exhaust. I can't recommend Prime to anyone after this. Jensen cleaned the engine and we are going back in a few days so they can actually identify the leak, not just guess and try to stick us with a giant bill. Edited to add: the business felt the need to call me AND my husband about this and when I said this wasn't appropriate, kept talking at me until I had to hang up and block the number. Wow, just wow.

The shop says they are now "corporate" and that the claim is with their accounting department. Again, it has been 4 1/2 months... No one ever answers the phone at the corporate office (which is in Arizona). No one ever returns calls / messages - I have left over 10. I am now paying an attorney to write a demand letter... My first (and last) time trying West Center Auto and had a terrible experience. Dropped my car off…read morelast night near closing and let them know that I had just had a quick diagnostic on my car and the C1 was misfiring that I didn't have the correct tool to check. He didn't take down any of my information except a name and number, said they would call tomorrow... Odd but whatever, it should be a simple enough fix. At 1 pm the next day I still had not heard anything so I called the shop, spoke with Ed, he stated they had just begun diagnostics and would call back. Cool. About 2 hours later I thought this was getting a little long to still be looking at a spark plug and coil, so I called again for an update and Ed became extremely demeaning, mocked me about knowing what caused a misfire, was sarcastic and laughed out loud at my serious concerns at times. After I stated I wasn't sure I even wanted to work with them he yelled at me to come pick up my car and hung up on me. I called back immediately and asked to speak with the owner, Ed laughed and said, "Oh if you think I'm bad, you don't want to talk to Terry, the manager! I'm the nice one compared to him!" I eventually got Terry and recapped what had happened so far with his shop, he offered no apology and just asked if I wanted them to fixed the car or not? I was appalled by the behavior of both this completely unhinged employee Ed and an owner who clearly does not care about customer service. Avoid this shop like the plague, they are absolutely awful people and mechanics all around. Especially if you are a woman, they are clearly discriminatory here as I'm sure there is no way that Ed would condescend a male in that manner. This was our first time using Dingman's and it will be our last…read more We dropped my wife's vehicle off for hail damage repair on September the 16th. That Friday, she received her one and only update call letting her know "we will for sure have your vehicle through next week." No big deal, we have rental car coverage through insurance for up to $600 which equates to roughly a month. So based on the timeline of "through next week", we figured we were good to go. Unfortunately, "through next week" came and went. When my wife called for an update on September 27th, she was told her vehicle was going to paint "this next week." Okay, a little longer than we expected but we still had the rental. On Monday, October 7th, she received a notice from our insurance company that her rental coverage would expire on October 10th. When she called...again...to try to get an update, she was informed that her vehicle had not been sent to paint as she was told. Additionally, she was told that they were not sure when the vehicle would go to paint. We are now through 4 weeks and our rental car coverage is up, time to turn in the rental vehicle. My wife's vehicle is still not done. So, we are left to figure out how to manage transportation for two adults who have jobs and two children with activities with a single vehicle. Our new timetable is two more weeks, so six weeks in total and that is if they manage to hit this deadline. No apologies, nothing. Nothing more than "this is how long it normally takes." If 6 weeks was the original timeline, why were we not told that when we first dropped the vehicle off??? It's absurd. Here is the biggest problem: the communication has been absolutely horrible. No calls to give us updates, no "we are really sorry, this is taking longer than we initially told you", nothing, nada, zilch. At times we have called (late afternoon) and have been told we will receive an update in the morning. Crickets, no return calls, nothing. We asked if they could assist with either a loaner vehicle or additional rental car assistance and we were told that they wouldn't be able to help, and we had to figure it out on our own. Apparently, we are not alone either, as my wife was told there were others in the same boat as us. It may not be a problem to Dingman's, but it is a problem to us. Use this shop at your own risk because we had to learn the hard way.
