Afterward you are given a T-shirt and I was given a gift card of my choice . They offered water and snacks but I'm staying away from junk food . Supper nice people and it's a pleasure to donate . I remembered when my husband needed a blood transfusion and someone donated or sold their blood. I also heard it's healthy to donate I'm not sure how true this is.

I stepped out crying because it was my 3rd time trying to donate and since the first time they rejected me. The first time they gave me a courtesy card but the card is not the matter. It was their attitude. I felt that I was the worst donor they have met. Today I tried again and the nurse told me to go out and when I came back she told me that I was disqualified because I WAS LATE FOR 2 MINUTES. You do not know how much I cried because I FELT LIKE I WAS NOT GOOD ENOUGH TO BE THERE & I HAVE NOT STOPPED CRYING BECAUSE THEY HURT MY FEELINGS. That is it. FOR THEIR INFO, I WILL NEVER GO AGAIN. The only have 2 people doing the pre-screening and they take their time and chat among them while the line keeps getting longer. They can easily have 3 people doing screenings instead of 2. No regards for people's time. Corporate should do something about this. The pay donors $65 and sell the plasma for $1,000 or more to the pharmaceutical companies.

This is the same word that two employees used to insult me while I sat in one of the screening rooms waiting. Turns out, I'm not that person who will just sit there and accept to being assisted by someone with ZERO etiquette who is having a bad day. Yes, I was insulted after politely requesting to be assisted by someone else, given her attitude. Management, I understand that the company does all they can do to save a penny here and there, and to make a center profitable, but at what cost? CSL Miramar should educate staff to understand that Volunteers are essential for the center and if any staff member is having a bad day, communicate to superiors and have someone else fill in for them. Or, in the best case scenario, if they are blessed not to need a job, possibly renounce and leave the position for someone else more qualified. Also, I kindly suggest that staff in the center who are on duty, should carry some visible identification on them when entering the rooms to assist any volunteers. No front counter person and the security guard isn't greeting people coming in but just chatting with people not even doing his job. Then when I'm walking back in fourth after 5 minutes he ends up telling me nobody can accommodate my appointment and will have to come in another day. Well say less if u don't want my business I will end up going to another plasma donation place one that treats me and my appointment time with respect and display a professional attitude towards guests.
