I had a 1:40 appointment, but since it was a fasting lab, I checked in early at 7:00 AM. Even though I arrived well before my scheduled time, they were able to squeeze me in after about a 45-minute wait -- which was absolutely no issue at all. I really appreciated the flexibility and willingness to accommodate me. The office was clean, organized, and ran efficiently despite being busy. The staff was professional, courteous, and kept things moving smoothly, which seems to be a consistent theme you see in many of the reviews here. I especially want to give a shout-out to Heber. He was incredibly nice, efficient, and made the blood draw quick and painless -- honestly one of the easiest lab experiences I've had. He explained everything clearly, was calm and friendly, and you can tell he knows exactly what he's doing. Overall, a smooth, professional experience from start to finish. This organization is uncaring, sloppy and incompetent. The staff is unprofessional in how they interface with patients. They constantly overbook, causing patients, many of them quote ill, into long waits past their appointment times. This has not happened once, but many times. It's a pattern of born of greed resulting in a complete lack of respect for the people forced to submit to this laboratory company for medical testing. Most recently, I made a 9:30 appointment for a blood draw. I arrived at 9:10 and walking into an overflowing waiting room. I was the first patient listed for the 9:30 block time. At 9:30 there were still 14 patients ahead of me. From experience I know that is at least a 1 hour wait. I had to walk out, untested, because I had other appointments scheduled based upon the 9:30 appointment time. This shows a complete lack of respect for my time and for me as a person. The Miami Beach office is really hard to find and if you arrive late because you can't find it then you your appointment is canceled and I'm talking about like a couple of minutes late and this is something that you have to do without eating so I would suggest you go to another place. Where to start? The employees are just lazy, rude, incompetent, don´t listen, don´t give you the correct information. I don´t even think they know how to explain what is and isn´t a good sample that will be accepted. They can´t read the orders not can they find the orders in the system. The lab manager and tech asked me if I could speak Spanish (I know right?). Most diagnostic and labs are challenging for patients and employees, but this place is bad. The online scheduling system does not function properly. When you choose an available date, it says the date is no longer available. The woman at the front has too much power and is a truly awful human being. I made an appointment and signed in at the kiosk. My name appeared on the waiting board and it said I should expect a 5 minute wait, so I took a seat. Soon after it was deleted. Fifteen minutes after my name was deleted I went to ask what had happened. She said had deleted me from the system and made me re-register. I expressed upset and she began yelling at me, stating too bad thats what happens and I had to wait. I then went back and watched her take every single person who came after me before me. Getting blood work is never a fun task and Quest has a horrible reputation. I did have to wait 20 mins even with an appointment but I must say the technician was amazing. His name was Heber. I have small veins and usually it takes the technician multiple attempts to find a vein and I walk out looking like a bruised pin cushion. Heber knew to use a smaller needle and found the vein on the 1st attempt! I was so pleased. Thanks Heber!!! read more

I felt rushed (there were no waiting customers) & like I wasn't being listened to. They only allow appointments over the phone. I came in person and said the phone system couldn't understand my information. I showed the woman at the receptionist that I had been on phone trying for 30 mins. She said she couldn't make appointments it was only possible via phone. Okay, I came back a few days later when I had made an appointment. Showed up at 12n for a 12:45. Same woman at the desk. I immediately said I'd made the appointment online but the computer couldn't understand me so my birthday was wrong. The woman says she has three 12:45 appointments and none of them are me. I tell her I'm sure I made an appointment. She then asks for my phone number and says "It is under the wrong name" and proceeded to struggle to read the (incorrect) name the computer listed. Then a manager comes out and says the facility does accept walk ins...? Rude receptionist that don't know the facility policy is really a problem. The absolute worst service. I had an appointment at 12:30 for bloodwork, i made sure to come in early to check in. The lady in the front desk was very rude and wouldn't even let me speak. Immediately she began announcing loud enough for literally everyone to hear, that everyone had called out in the office today & we had to wait no matter what time your appointment is, in a very harsh tone. Keep in mind all i had said was i was there to do an early check in for my appointment. It has now been an hour past my appointment, & there are still 15 people ahead of me in line. I received a text it was my turn 30 minutes ago- they tell me to go into room 3, but when i go in there was another patient sitting in there waiting to be seen. This place is a disaster. This used to be a good company, and I have not had a problem with their actual service staff once I was inside the facility. The problem lies with their executive staff trying to save on employment costs. I'm certain they are using the pandemic as an excuse to cut staff positions, so now everything has to be done through poorly designed apps and websites, or wait an hour plus on the phone to get a human's help. Beyond frustrated and will no longer being getting ANY lab work done and this office or Quest Diagnostics if I can help it. I had work done on 9/2/2021 and the technician put the wrong insurance information in. Billing has been trying to bill my old insurance which obviously did not approve the claim. I have been back and forth with the billing department for 4 months now to get this correct. Each time, the billing representative tells me they have submitted the claim to the correct insurance and that I need wait 45 days in order for the claim to be processed. 45 days goes by and still nothing has been done. I later find out from my insurance that the claims were never sent from Quest at all! So now the amount has gone to collections and Quest has put a freeze on my account preventing me for getting any additional lab work done. I reached out to the Quest billing department again today and explained the situation (with my insurance company on the line as well) and how their gross negligence is the reason why my account is in collections and the representative did not care and told me to wait another 45 days. After over 90+ days of going through the same situation over and over, I don't feel confident Quest Diagnostics cares about their patients which is resulting with their solution for me to just to pay out of pocket (not going to happen) for a bill because the billing department is unable to do their job and bill the correct insurance. On a separate note, I went in for bloodwork yesterday to the same office and they STILL entered my insurance incorrectly. Since my account is on hold, I will have to take my future lab work over to Labcorp. read more

Vein Whisperers! I highly recommend an appointment rather than walk-in, and as with all doctor-like appointments the earlier the better. Timing I was seated in an examination room 5-10 minutes after my appointment time (which I think is great for a doctor-like appointment) and even better 15 minutes later I was walking out the door having given 6 tubes of blood and a urine sample. Phlebotomists are all Vein Whisperers! I started going to Quest directly because my veins are ridiculously difficult to find and draw blood from. Both of the lovely women at my doctor's office have given up at various times after multiple sticks and we part both drenched in sweat and both unsure which of us is more unhappy. Everyone at Quest gets a vein on the first stick and gets all tubes in that one stick. If you're at all like me, you know how rare and appreciated that is! Clythe (sp?) drew my blood today and she was so wonderful... I'm starting to think that getting blood drawn is no big deal?!? Waiting Room The waiting room feels a bit like a DMV waiting area and a couple of people there are always upset that they are walk-ins and have been there too long. Again, don't be a walk-in please do make an appointment! I'm never here for even 10 minutes so it is a non-issue for me. Post-visit Dunkin' Donuts I don't know why, but after leaving the office that coffee and donut is just WONDERFUL! Before my appointment walking by I always smile at the memory of last time, it seems so silly, but after my appointment I'm ridiculously happy that it's right there. Parking It would be lovely if the building had parking, but it doesn't. However, I never have to go more than 2 blocks to find a metered spot and they're all Parkmobile.
