The food here is good, but the customer service definitely needs improvement. When I walked up to the counter and gave the young lady my number, she didn't acknowledge me at all--no greeting, no response, nothing. I stood there for several minutes before going back up to remind her that my order was #65. Instead of communicating with me, she just pointed at the box. There was no courtesy, no effort, and her attitude came across as very dismissive. On top of that, I ordered 30 wings and was only given three ranch dressings. When I asked for more, she flatly said "yes" without explaining, and only after I insisted that I was willing to pay for extras did she finally add them. The way she handled it made the whole interaction uncomfortable and frustrating. On a positive note, the older lady working at the register was very kind and professional--she had a great attitude and treated me with respect. Honestly, that's how customer service should be. Overall, the food is solid, but the experience with the younger employee at the counter left a lot to be desired. Some proper customer service training would go a long way in making sure guests feel welcome and valued. read more

Had lunch from here as part of a work event.Paid $11.00 for a Turkey and Swiss sub. $11.00 for a sub with 2 pieces of Turkey and a slice of cheese. As I am not a fan of franchise sandwich shops this place is possibly the worst sandwich I've had in any of the local franchises, $11.00 is a complete overcharge for the product they gave me, I could go to food Lion and get a roll, 1/2 lbs of Turkey and package of Swiss cheese for a lot less.... I don't recommend this place and suggest you spend your hard earned money elsewhere. read more

American Deli has some of the best wings, however, after reading previous reviews, I was a bit skeptical of stopping here --I decided to take my chances. Upon entry, the restaurant is extremely neat and clean, their health grade was 100, and I was greeted right away by the super nice lady at the register. I ordered the lemon pepper wing meal. The fries were ok for the most part - some warm and some semi-hot. I figured they must have added fresh-out-of-the-grease fries with previous fries under the heat lamp. Now to the wings. They were not the best, but this was totally due to the fact that they were smothered in so much lemon pepper sauce which made them way too salty. I will def go back, but will order the garlic parmesan or buffalo hot wings. To be fair: I attribute my experience to the fact that they must be training new employees from what I could see. I've never stepped into this place so my review is soley upon delivery experience. This place has fresh tasty sandwiches both hot and cold. The wings my son says are "banging". The peach punch is worth your time. But let's talk fries. If you like hot crispy crinkle cut fries with a seasoning on em that will have you begging for more than omg this is your spot! They know thier fries are good. Why? Cuz they are NOT shy with the fries. Which is rewarding. They are my fav by far. They've never gotten my order wrong nor was the fries never hot and fresh. I hope this information reaches the kitchen cuz its really loved appreciated. Very fast service here also is a norm. My go-to is the Philly with everything on it. And yes the fries. The bigger drink option is the huge foam cups which are awesome. I've been doing bizz here for 2 yrs now and I highly recommend it to all. Menu is broad enough to accommodate all. First time here. After reading the history on the wall about the company, it seems they are very proud of their Philly cheese steak & wings. So, I gave the Philly and wing combo a try. Philly was pretty good. Made fresh and hot. The wings...well...no thanks. The wings were xtra...xtra small. (About 1-1/2" max). I got the medium sauce and was nothing more than either Texas Pete or Tabasco sauce. Not impressed at all. This location has been several things over the past few years. American deli in Monroe on Roosevelt boulevard the little owner is rude. An order was placed and I went to pick it up I told them what the order number was 30 minutes later after I had to remind them that I was there they finally brought me my food. I told a little older lady that I needed a voucher for the next time that I come so I can get free food the next time I come for having to wait 30 minutes for my order. Keep in mind I watched about 10 other people get their orders. She looked me in the eyes and said NO and I said okay no problem I won't be coming back here again and she acted as though it was fine with her. Pretty good place. Ordered the Philly Cheese Steak and Chicken Wing combo. Philly was good, keeping in mind that I've never had the Mecca of cheesesteaks (Genos), so my experience with cheesesteaks is limited. The wings were smallish but very tasty. One of the first things I always look for in an eating establishment is the sanitary grade. Well, this place had an A and it WAS very clean. PLUS! The food, however, lacked any genuine taste- unless one considers "artificial" and "frozen" considered as "taste". I had a small salad with ranch dressing. The lettuce was shredded- a con, because once the dressing is poured , the lettuce might just as well be cole slaw. There were no crackers available nor croutons to add some crunch factor. My unsweetened tea tasted as if it were fresh from a disinfected canister. Hubby got the chicken fried rice and wings. He offered a bite to me so that I could taste for myself that HIS entree had been frozen at the factory and popped into a microwave. There was a bit of a hickory taste added but it was not a genuine flavor - more like a manufactured "taste"? I ordered the gyro combo with an extra side of sauce, half sweet tea. The tea was soured (no biggie, it happens). They switched me out for a Coke which granted an extra star. There was no extra side of sauce although I'm pretty sure I was charged for it. The 2 stars is because my gyro (whose a la carte price is $5.59) had like 3 thin slices of meat. It was mostly a lettuce gyro. Seriously the record for least meat on a gyro I've ever seen. I was kicking myself that I didn't go to Showmars instead. I felt like if they were going to be so cheap and skimpy on the meat the price should be more like $2.59 instead of $5.59. Very disappointed and not likely to return.
