1 star for the Matthews Firehouse Subs location. My order was missing items, the meatballs on my sub were burnt, and the sub itself wasn't even toasted properly. Walking in, the staff seemed completely incoherent and disorganized. I also wasn't even offered a drink cup -- I had to figure it out and grab one myself. I never leave food reviews. But I am so bummed at my experience here. I've been getting the same sandwich (the Italian) for over 5 years now, at all different locations and in different states. We ordered on the app on December 19th, 2025. The order looked as if it went through and the payment was accepted. It gave 5:45 as the time it would be ready for pickup. I arrived but no order on the pickup rack. Two employees didn't acknowledge I was standing there so I ask if my order was ready. The lady said mobile orders are coming through so I don't know then she went back to making orders. Not let me check. Nothing. Finally another employee noticed me so I asked if my order came through. She said no it didn't. After waiting 45 minutes and seeing customers who arrived after I did get their orders I asked for a refund. The third employee said we're making your order next. I said can you refund my money? He said he could. So I said how do I know you're doing that? He said you're going to need to go to the register for a refund. So I waited at the register because another customer was showing them her order on her app that didn't go through. When I finally got to the register I asked why they hadn't added a banner or notification on their app. The employee said they can't do that but they could disable the app. So I said there are a lot of frustrated customers so why didn't you do that? He said the owner wouldn't let them. So 50 minutes standing around pulling teeth to get information and part of that time not even knowing whether my order went through or not I got a refund and went elsewhere to get food. I could have gone to a sit down restaurant and got dinner quicker!!! Plus there was trash on the drink supply counter and the store was dirty overall. NEVER again. The greedy owner had customers coming in knowing the app wasn't working and causing the actual employees to deal with numerous complaints. Terrible experience!!! read more

I have always been a huge fan of Firehouse Subs, so when the SouthPark location closed and Covid hit and began working from home I wasn't close to any locations. So, while dog sitting for a friend I was able to order delivery for lunch. I preordered at 10:30 for an 11:30 delivery, and it arrived right on time. I ordered Turkey, extra meat and Bacon with chips and drink. Double meat, yes, they sure packed my sandwich. Still piping hot too which made for a perfect bite. The only disappointing factor was they put my pickle slice in the sandwich box so it got warm and a little soggy. Sorry, but I love a crisp pickle. A definite spot I will order from again! read more

They tell me it's going to be 30 minutes to get my order and there's literally no one in the place. They tell me they have online orders and can't help me. I walk out shaking my head. 3 staff members all working online orders oblivious to the fact there is a live customer ready to drop $50 easily there. I went to Jersey Mikes 15 minutes away instead. The staff here acts like they are in prison. Just sad expressions everywhere. No one is remotely happy and it shows they barely want to speak to the customers. when your food is ready it's like they deliberately whisper. I was 8 ft from counter and my wife or my self could hear them. We just happen to look up and it was sitting there. We sat and ate at location and noticed they did this to all customers. In my opinion make a sandwich is not that hard we come to firehouse because it's good! But the I'm guessing manager is rude as f***. I'm pretty sure people have harder jobs than sandwich making. Firehouse is great. The subs are warm and toasty, and the cool firemen hats are fun for kids. My niece loves coming to this location, which is also conveniently located near the dollar movie theater. I've had many a cheap date night eating either at Firehouse or Cicis and then heading over to the dollar movie theater, sometimes with my Firehouse sub shoved down in my big purse to sneak in the theater. The sandwiches are reasonably priced, and they are always pretty quick with getting your order. I can't say I've had a bad experience there, ever. read more

Going to Firehouse Subs, you always know you will get a filling meal pretty quickly. The sandwiches are decently priced and I always get chips and a drink to get a big gulp of their Cherry Limeade. Most times I mix the cherry limeade with sprite to cut a bit of the sweetness out and give it more carbonation - it's actually a pretty fun game to play with yourself in mixing the "perfect limeade combo". Walk in, order at the counter and they will call out your name and bring you a nice hot sandwich. Along the order counter there are a ton of various hot sauces to choose from. I haven't tried any yet since I think the flavor of the sandwiches are great and don't need anything extra. read more

Absolutely the worst customer service I've ever experienced!! Went to Firehouse Subs (which I love) and as soon as we walked in, it was smokey from the meat or something in the oven. The guy who serviced us (name started with J, which I won't disclose his name on here, on Saturday 6/12/21 @ 4:56p) had an attitude and was on his phone checking messages or something then slammed his phone down, cursed and then apologized then proceeded to take our order. There were a combo of things going on, such as him stating he was leaving then a few mins later, grabbed his belongings and left out the door. J came back in and then threw his keys over a customers head to the other employee. Other customers were also upset about the lack of service, not to mention another customer was talking to another employee and he ignored her and gave her, her sub sideways in the bag...not to mention my order was wrong. The sub itself is pretty awesome. We got a 12inch Italian. The only complaint is that the employees leave the back door open and as you walk in you can see them smoking. I'm not the type of person to get mad over people smoking... it's just when you're about to prepare my food and I can see you rushing to finish your cigarette before you fix my sandwich. I don't think I visit firehouse subs enough to know if other locations greet you with an instant "Welcome to Firehouse subs" but it was a good start to a quick afternoon meal . Considering one of their competitors is literally around the corner I was impressed with this Firehouse subs quickness and attention to detail . The manager stood out because he really seem to lead his staff to create a structured assembly line , he took all the orders making sure to acknowledge their survey link on the bottom of the receipt , I left a great review . I'm not much of a cold cut sub gal so I tried something new and it was satisfying so if you are eyeing the Philly cheese steak sub here , go for it . I normally just eat a medium sub because the fillings aren't lacking. read more
