Have not been here in a few years.. and this place has really gone downhill. Sadly they don't even give you bread anymore and charge you $3.50. What kind of Italian place does that. The food came out so fast there was absolutely now way it was fresh. And the food was only ok.. The prices were not crazy but they were not under charging and the portions were on the smaller side. I would think the average meal is running about $20 a plate. The only plus side was our waiter was very nice and gave good service. I don't have any plans to be back here anytime soon. This is a sad deal this place use to be good. I hope they can turn the place around the Albany, Corvallis, Lebanon areas need good food places. read more

We have had good experiences at other Pastini locations, and I'm happy to report that the Corvallis location is also very good. Our server did an excellent job, and our food came out quite quickly. Atmosphere is casual, yet classy. We had to start with the garlic bread appetizer, as it is delicious -- pieces of toasted bread, loaded with garlicky, buttery, goodness. Yum! For my lunch, I ordered a small beet salad, and their classic spaghetti marinara. The beet salad sounded intriguing, as I've had similar combinations before -- red and golden beets, seasonal apples, goat cheese, chopped Oregon hazelnuts, balsamic vinaigrette, and mixed greens. Overall, I enjoyed the salad, but I felt it was way over-dressed. The spaghetti marinara was excellent. The tomato flavor popped, and the basil & oregano provided nice balance to the dish. Nice and simple. My wife and I split a piece of tiramisu for dessert, which was also excellent. It was perfectly smooth and creamy, with appropriately strong coffee flavoring -- and another plus was that the tiramisu was not too sweet. The only unpleasant part for me is that some of the lady fingers were over-soaked and soggy. This experience was a solid 4-4.5 stars, and I'd say Pastini is way better than the big name chain that claims to be serve authentic Italian food (but isn't anything close to it). This used to always be my favorite restaurant, i dont know if management changed but it seems like it is slowly going down hill. Food tastes different now and it just isn't the same, i usually get fettuccine Alfredo and it is very creamy. This time it was noodles swimming in butter! There was no flavor and there was a pool of butter in my dish after i was done. Like i said, this is still a great place to eat. But its very disappointing to see nice food and service change, especially when it is also expensive! I hope things get better here, back like they were! read more

The food is good. I ordered the chicken Alfredo and garlic bread. Unfortunately it was more like an alfredo butter than anything. The taste was there it was just the Alfredo consistency that through me off. We also the spaghetti and that was ok. All in all I'd probably go back I'd just order extra sauce. read more

Ordered takeout after a long day. They said it would be 30 minutes but when we arrived it was ready after 20 minutes. We ordered spaghetti and meatballs, ziti con broccolini, and small bistro salad. My son wasn't terribly hungry but still finished the spaghetti and meatballs. I'm guessing if he was his usual hungry he would have wanted more- and it needed to have a bit more. The small salad was quite small- really get like it should have been a bit bigger. For a dollar more MOD pizza has HUGE salads that are triple the size for almost the same price. The ziti was very tasty but considering its broccolini, nuts and pasta I also felt like it was a bit overpriced. My Mom, and my girls and I ordered Pastini's in Eugene via DoorDash when we stayed in a hotel last month. We fell in love and I realized we had one in Corvallis. So my birthday is coming up and my friends asked where I wanted to eat. PASTINI"S in Corvallis! The day comes and I remembered I loved the LINGUINI PICCATA with Roasted chicken sautéed with butter, garlic, lemon, white wine, capers, parmesan that I tried in Eugene. I ordered it and it was exactly the same as it was in Eugene. YAY! My Husband had the lasagna, my youngest daughter had the PERFECTLY PLAIN PASTA which is Fusilli corkscrew pasta with butter and parmesan, and my oldest had the spaghetti and meatballs. The service was great and we will definitely be back. Amazing food and service. read more

I had a nice dinner with my family tonight after the OSU Beavers thumped the visiting Stanford Cardinal (not even close). It was especially nice since it was Veterans Day, which meant a free meal for me and a portion of today's sale go to Veteran causes. Super cool. My wife love Pastini and their gluten free pasta. I like the fresh, house made pasta. My kids just love eating out. We were joining some friends for an evening in Corvallis and they suggested that we meet them at Pastini for dinner. They do not take reservations; but, had a table for six ready shortly after we walked in the door. The front desk at our hotel had recommended two menu items. The first one was no longer on the menu. The second was Fettuccine Alfredo With Chicken. Of course, that is what I ordered. The sauce was nice and creamy with just the right amount of Parmesan Cheese. I do not remember what my wife ordered; but, I stole a couple of bites. It was delicious. Other orders were Lasagna, Beet Salad, and artichoke hearts. While the food at this restaurant remains good over the years, the portion size of the dishes have shrunk dramatically during the first quarter of 2025. Prices have risen also, but this is common among restaurants. Service is spotty with some servers ignore you after your order is placed. Ambiance is Ok...nothing special. read more

The service here was outstanding! We stopped by with 50 minutes before we had to catch a movie and let the hostess know. We were able to order a few minutes after sitting and within 10 minutes of ordering, all of our food had arrived! A few minutes later, our server also brought our check, having been updated on our timeframe by the hostess, for whenever we were ready. When we put our card down a few minutes later, our check was taken immediately and brought back immediately. So impressed with how serious the staff was about respecting our schedule! We were in and out in less than 30 minutes. The butternut squash gorgonzola ravioli was delicious -- very strong cheese flavor though, so be aware when ordering! The grilled asparagus salad and side of broccolini were light and fresh, perfect pairs for a rich pasta dish. You just can't beat a place with great food and service! read more

We recently had dinner at the new location in Beaverton OR and enjoyed the service and the food.The only negative is that (at least at this location, we were new to the brand) there are no espresso drinks available. I really wanted an espresso to go with the delicious tiramisu. A plain cup of coffee didn't do it. The place was attractive and had a nice traditional feel. But why are so many of the tables and booths provided with hard seating? Luckily we could get a table with padded chairs. In short, the lack of espresso drinks and so many hard seats cost it the 5th star. read more

We ate dinner at this location and while the restaurant was not busy at all, it took nearly 20 mins to get our food while we watched three other tables receive theirs while they arrived after us. The soup of the day was butternut squash and I'm thankful I only ordered a cup instead of a bowl. It was either watered down with actual water or perhaps chicken broth but by far the most bland soup I've ever had. I try adding salt and it didn't help and even had my friend try it - neither she nor I could taste actual butternut squash. After three spoonfuls, I pushed it aside. My friend ordered a pasta dish with an Alfredo sauce and it was practically sitting in a plate of warm milk. She picked out her protein and veggies and left the pasta and sauce-hoping the sauce would thicken as it cooled...it did not. We also ordered the garlic bread appetizer with a side of Alfredo sauce... that little cup of warm milk was an additional $5 and did not taste like Alfredo sauce at all. The reason for the two stars... the garlic bread was good and enough to fill me up. It must be the bread winner of the place because when the waitress came to collect our card, she only asked how the bread was while a bowl of warm milk pasta and whole cup of soup sat there... we won't be back. We like to give a place couple of tries and the last three visits have just gotten worse each time. read more

Just wasn't impressed. Pasta we had was bland and the chicken was even more bland. I'm not sure they even put a dash of salt on the chicken. Lasagna was the only reason I gave 2 stars and even that was average. Not a sweet sauce fan and the lasagna was pretty sweet. I don't see our family going back any time soon. read more

Came in with two friends on a Thursday evening. We were seated after a short wait. Waitress gave my friend a good recommendation on the non-alcoholic blood-orange drink that was delicious, and a highlight of our visit (I ended up ordering one also). Pastas we ordered were good. Bread broken into chunks was good, and easier to share than in some restaurants. There was no real "wow" factor for me with this place. But it was delicious and I would totally go back. read more

Visiting family & wanted to take them to dinner while here in Corvallis. The little one wasn't up for a dinner out, so we orderedtake-out instead. As a former restaurateur, I've never been a big fan of take-out unless it's Chinese, burgers or pizza. However, I was pleasantly surprised with our meal. Food was prepared & boxed perfectly. The Caesar salad, dressing & Parmesan were exquisite, the spaghetti/meatballs & short rib ravioli (w/ a quick reheat in the nuker) as well as both children's pastas were delicious & totally consumed. The garlic bread, too, was perfectly seasoned. I have a newfound faith in take-out & would certainly order from Pastini's again. read more

Pastini Pastaria is Portland's homegrown Italian bistro with a passion for pasta. Our reverence for the splendid noodle inspired us to create over 25 classic and contemporary pasta dishes using fresh, local ingredients in the tradition of the neighborhood bistros of Italy, including local produce, artisan breads and pastas. History

Established in 2001.

The first Pastini Pastaria in Portland's Irvington neighborhood was born out of our passion for pasta and a hankering for an affordable Italian restaurant where food was still made from scratch. Thankfully, Portland heartily embraced our small pastaria and we now have eight Pastini's in Portland, Eugene, Bend and Corvallis, OR. We may have grown a bit, but we're still putting our hearts into handcrafting fresh, authentic, affordable pastas. We research and test each recipe in our home kitchen before we serve it to you. We partner with community organizations and schools to raise money for causes in which we believe. And, we personally read every social media post, yelp review, email, and comment card that you take the time to fill out. Because we still come to work every day with an authentic passion for pasta.

Meet the Business Owner: Craig B.

Craig is Pastini's executive chef and created all the wonderful recipes for our menu. Although his degree is in accounting, Craig became a cook early on and melded his avocation into a career in the restaurant business. Although not classicaly trained, he has spent much time researching the Italian food tradition and loves to create new dishes for the Pastini menu. Craig is definitely partial to red sauce and confesses that Spaghetti & Meatballs is still his favorite.

Quite tasty, a drink which would cost significantly more at a bar in the big city. For our next visit the Reuben sandwich looks like a viable option, indeed we look forward to returning!

The large menu can seem a bit overwhelming, but once you figure out how the BBQ plates work, it's easy to order one of their standard dishes, or customize your own combo. I got pulled pork with Carolina BBQ sauce, mac n' cheese, a baker's roll (varies from day to day), and added sweet potato waffle fries. Everything was delicious. The pulled pork was a little more "wet" than I'm used to, but it was smoky and flavorful, especially with the BBQ sauce. The roll was almost muffin-like, with rosemary seasoning mixed into the batter, which I quite enjoyed. The mac n' cheese definitely has a cheesy texture, with a caramelized top, but the flavors weren't as sharp as I like -- still very good, especially after I accidentally spilled some of that Carolina BBQ sauce on top of it. My food gets all mixed together on a BBQ plate, anyway; so why not? LOL The sweet potato waffle fries get their own section, because they were that good. We knew coming in that this establishment was all gluten-free, even though nobody in our party needed to avoid gluten, and I was preparing myself to be disappointed -- and I can happily say that never happened! A lot of what E&T serves is homemade, and they obviously know what they are doing, so their GF offerings far surpass many dining establishment's full gluten options. If you have lower expectations for GF food, as I did, leave them at the door. Even my daughter, who is a pretty good baker herself, was impressed with the "heart attack" roll that she ordered with her meal -- we have never seen GF bread that fluffy! These guys obviously know what they are doing. Oh yeah, and those chocolate chip cookies? So good -- soft, and loaded with chocolate chips. We will definitely stop in again next time we are in the area.
