I went into this store excited to shop, but I left extremely frustrated. Almost everything on the racks was in small sizes, and after almost an hour of browsing I finally spotted a sweater I loved -- on a mannequin. When I checked, it was the only medium in the entire store. I thought it would be an easy fix to ask the staff if they could just swap the mannequin's medium for one of the many smalls they had on the racks (the mannequin clearly would have fit a small just fine). Instead, they told me they "aren't allowed" to change the mannequin's size for a whole month. The manager, Melina, actually confirmed this policy. Seriously? They'd rather lose a sale than switch out a sweater? It was a ridiculous and lazy response. After wasting my time, I left without buying anything. If American Eagle is going to insist on keeping mannequins dressed in medium sizes for display only while the racks are full of nothing but smalls, then what's the point? Terrible customer service, terrible shopping experience. I won't be coming back to this location -- they clearly don't value their customers. Don't waste your time. read more

My granddaughter received a pair of jeans from the store for Christmas as a gift, from the other side of the family size 6. Yes, I meant to return them long ago. However, I went in today April 24, 2026 around 3:00pm to try to exchange them for a smaller size. They all of a sudden were out of every size. I went down the list 00, 2, 4 out then I said how about a 12, I will trade up then purchase a pair. The two sales clerks acted like I was a common thief. No respect, no options to remedy the situation. Heck, give a girl a clipboard and there was no stopping the humiliation I received, in front of all the customers. This could have been handled professionally and without the Im the boss I said so attitude. I would hope that customer service training along with customer care to include learning how to give respect. read more

Great clearance selection after Christmas. They also make it easy to return items that were ordered on-line.

I would not recommend this store to my worst enemy. The management is extremely rude. When you try to return an item save yourself. Do not go here. Melina is as rude as them come !yelled at me , told me to order the pants that were right there on a manikin, refused to take them off for me, and then proceeded to tell me I shouldn't have waited until the day before school to buy pants, she was rude and disrespectful, and I will never spend a dollar at that store again, and I spent thousands there !!! read more

The employees should really get on the same page when it comes to return policy. Apparently based on the reviews I'm not the only one that's dealt with this. Some blonde lady who I think was the manager or shift manager gave me sass when I wanted to return 2 of the same items. One didn't have the tag & the other one did (same style different colors, same pric) I only tried it on and it didn't fit. Their online support told me it was no problem at all to not have the tags on the item just as long as it was in great condition. Which it was.. the manager told me to "not do it again" & that "next time it won't be honored". I've attached a pic for proof of me getting confirmation from their online site & it also states on their return policy that "no tags = store credit". Don't treat your customers like some kids or thieves.. the money is going back to the same place anyways. read more

They won't let you try on clothes because they said they are under staffed. My daughter was trying on jeans under her dress and they said no because they don't have enough staff to sanitize them when she takes them off. PS. I counted a minimum of 7 employees on the floor. This town needs an American Eagle Outlet. I only wear AE for casual wear and I am going to have to stock up when I am out of town. The customer service at this store = non-existent. No clearance racks, not-so great deals here and the selection overall could be way better. 1 extra star for cleanliness, the store itself and change rooms looked decent enough but the higher than normal prices will not keep me coming back for more. read more

I am a repeat customer here and have never returned anything used or with out a tag. I bought a pair of flare jeans and after washing them, the hem at the bottom rolled up and would start to get annoying to deal with. I didn't want to have to iron these after every wash and I haven't had this problem with my other American eagle jeans, even my flares. I went in on 1/31 in the morning, explained the issue and requested a refund. The lady with blonde hair told me that it happens when you leave your jeans in the dyer and don't pull them out or fold them right away. I get it, but when I tried to tell her that I don't leave my clothes in the dryer she would cut me off and tell me that's what the flare jeans do if I don't do A B & C. I tried to show her the hem on the AE jeans I wore into the store that didn't have this issue. I felt when I tried to talk she would cut me off and disagree. She wasn't listening and finally said she would only do an exchange. AE refund policy clearly states that if you're not happy with a purchase return it for a full refund. Its my bad I didn't check the refund policy before going in and rushed to find a different pair of jeans in the store to do the exchange. I had proof of the recent purchase and ethically, she didn't abide by AEs true refund policy. read more

Good evening, I am a regular shopper and I love AE jeans. I went to return a pain of jeans and never have I felt even more humiliated by this African American cashier with the most snobby most rudest rude attitude. Never once has anyone asked for my I.D to return jeans and I had the paper and email receipt.Are you kidding me? Was I being stereotyped because I'm Hispanic.? I was in the store yesterday shopping around and witnessed a Caucasian manager or some sort of shift lead speak down to a Hispanic young employee. Her attitude and demeanor towards the young Hispanic girl was literally disgusting. I asked another employee for her name and I think is was Cassie or Cassidy or something like that. It's truly sad to see people belittle others for themselves to be satisfied. Literally calm down, it's retail, you're not in high school anymore. I usually stop in here every time I visit the Valley Plaza mall just to see if there are any jeans sales going on. I buy almost all of my jeans from AEO because they fit so well! The store is usually very clean and the clothes are set up neatly and are organized. After shopping at this store for so long, I know exactly what size I am and don't need any assistance from the staff so buying my jeans here is very easy and stress-free. I will say, however, that the lines are sometimes extremely long and that a lot of people have to wait quite a while for a dressing room. When I was here yesterday with my mom, she tried on several pairs of jeans and had a great experience with the customer service. She was brought different kinds of styles to try on in the dressing room and was given information on each style. Also, I have no idea what some other Yelpers are talking about because there are definitely clearance racks everywhere in the whole store. I mean, the entire back section of the store is all clearance!!! You get can some great deals! This AEO store gets 4/5 stars from me for the organization, cleanliness, appearance, and clearance racks. The only thing is that it does seem to be understaffed at times which makes the lines long. read more

My daughter had place an order online. Upon picking up her orders she was told that someone had already picked up the order. Why would someone give someone's else order without checking for identification and proof of purchase? Nothing was done to refund her or give her, her orders. read more

I shop at American eagle all the time, half my closet is America eagle. I LOVE it. So this review isn't about the clothing side, it's about the lingerie side. I went to aerie (the lingerie) side of AE, I needed a new bra. I love arie's new campaign where they don't retouch the models, so I was happy to give my money to this company. The service was great, they measured me and gave me so bras to try on.. This is where everything went wrong. I found a bra I liked but it was white and I was looking for a little color, I then found out that the only bras they have in my size in the entire store and online are black, white and nude. I left very frustrated. They have this whole campaign about loving your body and celebration all bodies but their cute bras are limited to people below a cup. How is that fair? They need to rethink this. read more

If I could do negative stars I would. Every time we come here there are 5-6 employees but one person at the counter to check out. There no direction for the quick check out because they're busy talking and have 0 customer service experience. This is my favorite place to shop and I kid you not WORST store ever to do so! I would rather drive the extra 45 min to tejon outlets. read more
