I've walked through the all sections and observed the place is very clean and sterile, a much-appreciated attention to detail aspect. That said I didn't see many employees walking around so if you have questions, you'll have to be proactive and hunt them down for yourself. The floorplan is exactly like every other Kohl's so the customer should have no issues getting around. Small stuff first. The kitchen section has a few nicer items but is marked up a lot from a regular experience, sometimes by a lot. So if you want Bobby Flay's pan set, break out the plastic baby it's gonna cost ya! Next the bedroom supplies aren't marked up that much and should have something to satisfy most people. For instance they have pillows, not specialized items but a sizable list of generic ones (could be name brand but I'm not a pillow expert). The kids might be a little sour on the toy section. It's not very big. I can't speak on the womens section. Oh wait, I did have to buy some tights for running a half marathon and since it's done at the end of winter they're readily available. The only pair I could find were womans yoga pants. That's right, I ran a half marathon with 30k other people in womens yoga pants (relax I had shorts on over them). Anyways the point is they do have something for everyone. As for the mens section it's decent. The available styles are extremely generic, lacking anything trendy. It's like dating the guy or girl which dress ok but have no knowledge of what's in fashion NOW. Their sports apparel section in terms of clothing for exercise is very good, but unless you have a local team, it's for the masses. So what do I buy here? Dress pants, dress shirts, dress belts and the occasional "Kramer" shirt. But if you're debating socks, underwear, tshits and so on, you're better off choosing that big red or blue store. As for their shoes, they do have a decent collection but void of top performance or style shoes. Overall, Kohl's is very middle America in terms of financial tier, the mentality and corporate targeting. Shopping here isn't as cheap as those big box places however it's not as expensive as those NY style department stores. This particular Kohls is safe with good employees and a lot of decent, albeit dated products. Stop on buy if you're buying a little something for yourself or family and want to save a buck while not looking completely out of touch.

I asked the clerk if they had the MARIO back pack in stock, and she indicated that she did not see one in inventory. When I got back home, I tried to reorder the correct pack but the web site indicated that they were out of stock. In addition, the back pack was $35 which meant that I would have to add another item to get the same free shipping. I found the exact same back pack from Amazon and it was $10 cheaper so I ordered it (no shipping charge)

The staff here are so helpful, nice and friendly. It turned out the gal helping us actually opened my home store in Studio City, CA. She gave them a buzz and they had a pair in a 24 that she put on hold until the end of the week for me. What I love about Madewell is you can donate a pair of jeans and receive $20 off, which is always nice. I also had my $25 off birthday month coupon so I went to scoop up my pair after returning to LA. Great store with quality staple pieces. Affordable non designer denim that is just as cute as your fav high end splurge favorites and always super comfy too! I am a wee bit concerned that we are lying to women about their waist size nowadays because I'm fairly certain in no lifetime do I actually wear a 24, I'm petite but athletic and they fit perfectly. Maybe less sweets is actually helping snatch this waistline of mine ;) In all honesty though, Madewell denim is a bit more forgiving than other brands due to their elasticity aspect. They were having a big sale (up to 25% I think) off the entire store, so we were doubly intrigued. The sales lady started dressing rooms for both of us, being attentive but not pushy. The clothing here is for outdoorsy types, or athletic types, but I got a skort, shirt, pants and lingerie for, well, a lot, but I think they are a good investment. The register was a bit hectic, as they asked us for our email address for an 'additional' percent off. I think it worked but I never did get an email from them! I was ok spending a little extra, saving on shipping, though I have probably never ordered from them online. I may stop in next time I'm in the area or order online after a holiday bonus and a huge end of year sale online.

This is not a place to come if you're looking for a cheap clothes. But if you want a pair of shorts or work pants that will last you a decade, this is the place you will find that kind of quality.
