Learn from my mistakes- don't shop at Lowe's. I bought a refrigerator from Lowe's and had it…read moredelivered. The delivery people damaged my doorway and some of the drywall in my home. They acknowledged the damage before they left and told me to file a claim with Lowe's, which I did. Lowe's referred me to the insurance company of the delivery company, but the company denied causing any damage. They lied and said they took photographs before they did the delivery and that the damage was pre-existing. They only took photographs after, and they weren't even of the damage that they caused. Lowe's refused to help with this. They just referred me to their (Lowe's) insurance, who just turned around and referred me to their delivery company's insurance again, and again they refused to accept responsibility. Lowe's doesn't care if they cause damage to your home. They won't make it right. We're realistically looking at less than $500 in damage to my house. To save that $500, they're willing to lose a lifelong customer (Lowe's is across the street from my house) and the $50,000-$100,000 I would have easily spent there while doing backyard and kitchen renovations over the next couple years. I hope it was worth it, Lowe's.

I found Michael's cabinet co here on Yelp. I was very nervous to trust such an important job to…read moresomeone I found on Yelp but I had asked around and could not find anybody to do what I wanted to fix my cabinets. They all wanted to just paint them. I wanted them restored to the original finish if at all possible. We paid a lot for these custom cabinets 20yrs ago and really wanted them to be restored to look the same. Michael came out to look at them and told me he has never tried to do work like this before but he was willing to try and felt pretty confident he could do it. If we didn't like it we could always paint them after. It was a risk I decided I wanted to take. We could not wait any longer. 2 of our most used cabinets were severely damaged with water damage - one from a hand towel that had been hanging on it for 20 yrs that would often get damp from hand washing and the other our silverware drawer. They removed all of the damaged cabinet & drawer doors (leaving behind about half of them that had no damage as they were less often used and still looked brand new) and took them to their shop in Livermore. This made the job much harder as they then had to match the color to our existing ones. In addition our kitchen has 2 different paint colors so they had to create 2 different finishes - one a stain and one a paint. Linda, an employee of Michael was in charge of the painting and stain work and the artist who did the work on my cabinets in their factory. She showed us photos along the way and then came back out to reinstall the doors plus also repair the water damage we had on baseboards and cabinet sides that weren't able to be removed. She taped everything off in our kitchen to prep and then spent 2 days refinishing all of the rest of the damage. She was very careful and caused zero problems anywhere around her work. The finished product was absolutely 5 stars - could not have gone any better. I have delayed for way too long giving Michael and Linda credit for the work she did but the benefit to that is that I can now say after over a year (finished Sept 2024) of having the refinished cabinets in my kitchen they have held up perfectly and still all look absolutely brand new (helps not having kids living at home anymore!) I would 100% recommend you to trust Michael and his team to be honest, hard working and skilled crafts people for your cabinets. I was so impressed with him, his business, Linda, and all of their work. Thank you Michael & Linda!

This store is chock full of all the products you expect, but I think it's the employees that really set it apart from the store in the mall. I was immediately greeted and offered a basket when I walked in. As I sniffed candles, Anthony came by and offered his assistance. He was great about figuring out what I liked in scents and making suggestions that were spot on. He checked in on me when he saw me wandering around the store. And even though it was busy ($9.95 3-wick candle sale!), the cashier was super friendly as well. Never did it feel like I was being rushed or that they were too overwhelmed to be cheerful and helpful. The store was busy but not so packed you couldn't comfortably move around while carrying a basket. This is my B&BW of choice!

I was stocking up on a stockpile of B&B Works because I was preparing to move very far away and where I was going there aren't any B&B Works. She was fantastic at helping me prepare for my cross country move and helping select all of the best products for our new place. I observed her wonderful way of making people feel welcome and helped the way she treated them when they came in. She has a genuine smile and pleasant greeting. Her staff are a reflection of her management style. They are enthusiastic and well trained to be as pleasant and helpful as can be. It's been almost 2 years and I found out today she is still there. It doesn't surprise me. I am glad because she deserves this review. Great people skills aren't easily found and one of the keys to a successful business. I enjoyed shopping at this particular store because of her attention to the details. Candles, shirts, the cutest belts and shoes you've ever seen--it was all so thoughtfully curated. They even hosted a special event I attended, and I vividly remember someone pouring wine outside. Anyone else remember that? I stopped by again today (I've been in many times over the years and made plenty of purchases), but this visit was especially meaningful. Seeing the third generation involved truly warmed my heart. Sherry and Dennis are absolute Livermore treasures. It's safe to say they may be one of the oldest stores downtown--and certainly one of the most beloved. What made this visit extra special was meeting their granddaughter, Kendell, who was working that day. She is a rare gem. Kendell is a wonderful young person and PHENOMENAL listener. She genuinely cares--something that's hard to find in retail these days. She's truly one of a kind. I wanted something fun and different to do for my birthday and Flora Flames Candle was the choice…read more Ashley the owner shares space with Board and Brush at The Well at Sunset in Livermore. She takes you through the steps of making an aroma filled candle. We choose our vessels, I picked a white ceramic one and there are wood vessels for an additional cost, we sampled an array of scented oils to pick, I went for the amazing smelling "golden hour", then we blended oil and wax, and added a wick. We then picked our dried flowers to add to the edge of our candle, let it set and wait two weeks before lighting. Ashley gave us care instructions and we can recycle our candle vessels by bringing the empty candle holder back to use for another class, with a half off discount. Classes are about an hour in half to two hours, drinks sold to wet your whistle, and they have collaborative workshops with other creators. The total for the class I took was $60.24. Well worth it!

We hired Bay Area BBQ Islands to design and build an outdoor kitchen. Within the first year, the…read moreporcelain countertop developed multiple cracks radiating from the appliance cutouts. I reported the issue in November, and they inspected it in January. Since then, despite multiple follow-ups and a formal written request for resolution, I have not received any response or proposed solution. I also had a local engineer inspect the installation. He did not identify any structural issues with the support. The countertop material is marketed for outdoor use, so this appears to be a product or installation failure. I was hoping to resolve this directly, but the lack of communication has been disappointing. I'm still open to working with them to fix the issue.
