My husband and I came to Fotis after another jewelry store could not get a very simple 6 prong solitaire setting for a new diamond ring done correctly for us. Even after numerous send-backs and revisions something was always either wrong or subpar (crooked, uneven, exposed soldering, unpolished prongs, etc.) I was gutted and we finally just took it as a loss and walked away. I came here on Yelp and searched jewelers and found Fotis at GoldNTime. I liked what I read in reviews and I especially liked that his work bench is right there in his shop and he is the actual jeweler and craftsman doing the work (the other business was sending it out each time, so they had no real control over the quality). When I explained the simple, classics 6-prong setting style I was looking for, Fotis new immediately what was needed; including talking me through the proper structure, proportions and support for my larger size stone. Not only did he have my ring setting done and my diamond set properly within a day... but he took a lot of extra care to pay attention to details like alignment and polish, of both the stone and the metal. The outcome? GORGEOUS! PERFECTION! Gold N Time came highly recommended from a dear family friend! I called to ask about ring resizing and he said it could be done same day, most likely, if the ring were dropped off by about 11AM. I came in and Fotis greeted me right away. He looked at my rings (I needed my engagement ring made a half size bigger) and confirmed the same price he had quoted on the phone. He asked if I wanted to leave my wedding band to be polished as well, at no additional charge. He told me he would call when he had finished, probably late afternoon. I originally went to Baron's in Dublin, but they wanted to charge me $70 for polishing because we had not bought the ring there--bad service in my opinon. But, then I found Goldntime and I called Folis and asked him how much he charges to polish a platium band, he said very honestly that he does not charge to polish rings and invited me to come over.
