Make sure you get what you pay for! Went in today and even payed extra to get a spa service for my dog and she came back smelling the exact same, even had eye crusts, just got a haircut. They said she was hard to stay still but didn't mention the fact that they didn't shower her. After we brought it up they tried to lie then said they would shower her the next day when they had time. LONG STORY SHORT: Staff made a mistake on how to price my dog's haircut yet treated me like I was stupid for not catching it. Also, unimpressed that no one even tried to console my distraught dog who has separation anxiety (which I mentioned) while 5 or 6 people were chit-chatting right in front of her. LONG STORY LONG: This is the usual location at which my mother has her dogs groomed. They have come into my care while my mother away. She made the appointment in advance and said she was told this appointment was a "technical" and therefore was free. This was odd since this particular dog has never received a technical before. One of her dogs is a purebred mini-Schnauzer and his cut is always a technical. But for this other dog, a mixed breed, I've never known this to be the case. Precisely because I'd never seen it before & how familiar mom is with their policies, I knew she couldn't have misheard. Firstly, when I arrived, I was ignored by 3 or 4 staff who passed me on their way in. I by no means expect a royal welcome, but I think greeting a person (in particular a customer) is a bare minimum of politeness. However, it's a Tuesday, it was early, and I'm no stranger to the weight and exhaustion of providing a service for a living. I wanted to give the benefit of the doubt. Unfortunately, I was not given the same. When I was finally noticed and checked in by a woman (an incredible feat to be ignored that long, really, considering the small lobby), she pulled up my appointment and my file. I relayed to her that the appointment should be a "technical" and she looked at me with skepticism. "This dog breed doesn't get technical cuts," she said matter-of-factly. I said I was not the one that made the appointment and that the person who did (my mother) was told this cut was to be free. With a staggering lack of compassion or concern that there was a mistake on her end, she said "Well, I didn't schedule it. And I schedule the technical cuts. This dog breed doesn't get them." I told her if there was a payment to be made, she needed to call my mother and sort it out with her. "But she comes here all the time. She knows this isn't a technical dog." She said this to me as if it was obvious. "Yes," I responded. "I also thought it was odd that she was offered a technical cut. But someone obviously did so." "It's not happening," she said coldly. Another staffer had come out to take my dog and realized a miscommunication had occurred. She took my dog to the backroom and came back out to help resolve the issue. I will sing her praises a little later, but I would like to point out that she is the only highlight of this situation. She was spectacular and I would prefer her to be the manager. I told her what happened and she listened carefully. I felt like she cared. She looked at the technical woman with confusion. "It's NOT happening," the woman said again, even more firmly. She clearly believed it was my mother's mistake. "Then one of you needs to call my mother and discuss it with her," I said back, "because someone here told her this cut was going to be free." The other staffer called her while the technical woman took another call. The staffer confirmed with my mother that she had been told the cut would be a technical and asked her to hold. She started looking over the documents and realized what had happened: someone had put the mixed breed's name on the mini schnauzer's file. The sex of the dog was wrong as well, which is how she caught the mix-up. So although my mother has been using this salon for 3 years, someone in the last week corrupted our files. And it was a staff member that didn't know the information the technical woman clearly thought was so obvious, even to someone like me who didn't work there. Obvious enough to brush me off. I ended up paying for the cut because I was already late for work, but the more I think about it, the more annoyed I get. We weren't offered an apology for wasting our time or for having staff spread misleading information from the technical woman at all. It's not our job as customers, esp. repeat customers, to catch your staff in their mistakes, ma'am. I am now concerned that not all staff at this establishment are clear on pricing guidelines or correct data entry. I am hesitant to trust them again and would recommend others to be as well. TO TOP IT OFF I mentioned my dog has separation anxiety & when they took her from me, she started to bark nonstop. I didn't see even one of the 5-6 people in the back room even try to console my poor dog. Just chatting away, eating. They complained about how loud she was and just let her freak out. The only person I saw being nice to my dog was the staffer who helped me. I'd like to give the benefit of the doubt and say that everyone was having an off day. It happens. However, I am incredibly disappointed that my dog and I were shown the same kindness by only 1 of 7 visible staffers. read more

The customer service is horrible, my dogs came back with multiple cuts (which were never brought to my attention until I found the cuts myself), and they don't act like they even like dogs. This place is horrible. The customer service was unprofessional. Her name is Angela- the owner. None of the staff had masks on and did not comply at all. The owner was not wearing a mask either !! No one was. I had to take my dog back one day after his haircut Bc they didn't do a good job the first time. They said they can try to fix but it will take three hours. They were not warm and welcoming to my dog and I. The first day I came the front desk told me to have my mask on which I was compliant. When I come back today none of them are wearing their masks. How is this acceptable ? Non compliant to the state regulations. I paid 85 for my dogs hAir cut and bath and they did a poor job and only refunded my half of my money. They claim it was a professional who cut his hair which I don't believe. Now I have to go somewhere else to get his cut re done and evened our and spend full price; while only getting half of my money back. My dog was very very nervous of going back for the second time. It took my a couple mins to bring him in. Usually when a dog is this nervous - clearly they didn't treat him well when I dropped him off the first time. This place is a joke. Staff are NOT ALLOWED to let the dogs outside to relieve themselves "due to location site being close to road". Honestly, the reason is pure laziness and neglect. Came in for a 9 am appointment - didn't hear from them until I called around 3 pm. It's been 6 hours and she still wasn't done! They left my $$$ Alaskan Malamute caged the whole time and didn't let her out to pee. I asked why and they gave me a bullsh** answer - "due to their location nearby a main road they keep the dogs caged and contained whether it's 6+ hours wait, no matter what" And this is supposed to be a school or academy?! Whatever. I became so livid, (((SIX HOURS ))) I grabbed my dog and left. The manager also had the audacity to "hold my dog in the back" until I paid. Hello?! She is a labradoodle whose hair was matted completely to the skin, infested with fleas and ticks, had mud caked into her fur, never seen a vet and also was never socialized at all. After taking her home and calming her nerves from her first car ride, we took her on her 2nd car ride to American Grooming Services in Temecula. She got a haircut and a bath and a new lease on life. The service we received was top notch and the ladies were SO NICE!! We were worried because normally you get reprimanded for bringing in a matted dog, but we explained her story and they were uber compassionate and very gently with our timid girl. I brought a dog that my mom found by her work that is a long hair poodle like dog. There's no telling how long this poor guy was out there, he was a big mess, knots everywhere, stickers embedded in his fur and it was super long! We tried taking him to petsmart that day, but he was turned away because we didn't have a rabies shot or proof of one. It was late Friday and Saturday we were going to be out of town. And most places are closed Sunday's. I called this place Saturday morning and got put in their books for Monday morning. I brought him in and was offered a discount if I let their students do the work, of course I did it because all I needed was him shaved down. I got a call about three hours later to come pick him up and he looked great! He smells and looks like he got a bath as well, and it wasn't something I had asked for and from what I paid I don't think its something I paid for either. I would give them a five star, but the brand new leash was almost in two pieces. The end by the handle is almost cut clear across, its hanging on by a thread. When I asked how that happened the girl played dumb and said she just noticed it when I showed her. Its seriously right by the handle, its hard not to notice. She claimed he must have chewed it. VERY UPSET!!! We have used this company twice before and had no issues. But this time was much different. After getting my dog back home he was not himself at all!! As you can see from the picture it looks like they haven't taken care of him at all, I am not sure what this mark could be from. They used my shih tzu for training and she came out looking pretty sharp. Pricing was very reasonable. I was a little nervous at first but she came out looking fresh! The only thing that had me worried was the fact that I had her in at 12:30pm and they closed at 5. I didn't get any call about her being ready and it was past 5pm. Unfortunately I have a bad review, against my initial optimism based on Yelp reviews. I took my 4 year old mini golden to be groomed with a trim due to changing of seasons and he was shedding his winter coat. I have him groomed every three months and have had no issues prior to visiting here the first time. I asked for him to be groomed and was convinced to try a de-shedding treatment on him to have the undercoat removed. Based on the professional opinion I agreed against my better judgement. I arrived to pick up my pup to find him shedding 10x worse than before, CHUNKS of hair coming off him. I walked right back in and expressed my concerns and displeasure; they quickly took him back to "blow him out again"...and sent us on our way. He continued to shed at an alarming rate. 2 days later I had to leave the country and left him with my friends who own a pet sitting business and who also show dogs so are familiar with grooming. While I was away, my dogs coat almost completely fell out, again chunks of hair falling off his body, to the point where he was taken to the vet for exam and treatment. Ultimately he had to be completely shaved (he is a mini golden retriever) was given medication and his food had to be changed to give him the nutrients he needed to grow a healthy coat again. No pet parent should come home to see their fur kid like this. I am absolutely disappointed about what has happened, and for this place being so concerned when we left the first day, yet not once called to check on him nor returned my phone messages to discuss my complaints and concerns. Maybe this was a random incident, maybe not. My dog is my second child so I look at this as if it were my son who went through this. Not me, but what he went through is unacceptable. We will not return here and I will be returning to our original grooming spa, laundered mutt. read more

They are amazing! Our half chow/lab older dog loves going to get the "spa"treatment and he always leaves feeling great! They are kind to their clients and he sometimes leaves with a doggy ice cream, cookie, etc. The students do a great job (we always have a student groom him) and he is always happy when he comes home to us! I have taking my two dogs here for grooming for a couple years now and although I have always been happy with the grooming the front office staff is another story. The receptionist couldn't move any slower if she tried and is so unbelievably rude! The lady before her that left was amazing, too bad she left because this is not a good look for the business at all! I also seem to find that the prices keep changing with no warning, not cool at all...give us a heads up at least, not very professional! UPDATE: Thought one of my dogs seemed a little off when I picked her up, looked her over and didn't notice anything. She seemed cold after her cut so I put a sweater on her, 2 days later I removed it to find a cut on her back with puss coming out of it. Didn't notice right away because she is black and injuries like this are hard to see. She was clearly and IS clearly still irritated by it and is very tender. Would have thought I would have been told about this when I picked her up but was told nothing, you don't cut a dog like that and not know it. I can't say enough about this grooming facility for my four dogs. I have four rescue dogs. My English Springer was in 4 homes before we adopted her. She will only let us pet her on her terms. We have had her for over ten years and American Grooming has groomed her consistently with love and care. I picked up my two cavaliers tonight but before they left the owner took both of them back to do touch ups on them to make sure they were perfectly groomed. Well I too would like to write a great review and I will say that Shana did a wonderful job the previous visit. This review is about how the business is run. Communication is all it takes to ensure that the customer is well informed and the pet is well cared for. After 4 hours of my dog being at this groomers, I heard nothing. I called and was told he would be a "couple more hours". What? 2 more hours, which means he is there, in kennel, for 6 hours. At 4 hours all he had was bathe and dry. Another 2 to be clipped. What put me over the top is I was told that I should have told them I needed him done in a certain time frame. Are you kidding me? Who the hell would expect their dog to take more than 4 hours. This means you don't know how to schedule appropriately, communicate appropriately and deal with your customers appropriately. Basically I was told it was my fault for not communicating the time I needed to pick him up. This is completely and utterly irresponsible. Oh and to top it off I was charged full price without his face and ears being trimmed up because i refused to leave him there any longer. Although we like Shana, we will never return or recommend this place. Plenty of other groomers out there read more

Just used their mobile grooming service and couldn't be more thrilled!!! We have a 12 1/2 year old dog with a heart condition and after his last regular groomer visit - he had gotten too stressed out so we decided to try mobile grooming. The groomer was amazing and had our dog was very content. He even let her clip his nails (which has been an issue in the past). I'm sure he was comforted by me being able to check in on him and basically being able to see his front door.
