Such a nice dog park. I absolutely love how the local dog parks in the area create a path between the small and large dog area to create a more stress free environment. Some small dogs are just not "okay" with big dogs so adding that path in the middle is awesome. Came by on a Friday afternoon and it was slow in the small dog park side but the big dog side was poppin'. I only wish they added more trash cans for poop bags. They have one but it's right by the entrance so if you're wayyy on the other side you have to walk back. Which is fine but I feel like having more trash areas will encourage more people to pick up their dogs poop. Though they should regardless but ya know how it goes. Also, there is only 1 water fountain and it's outside of the dog park. So, if your dog is thirsty you're going to have to leash them up to go outside and then come back inside. Other than that, a nice park for the doggos. read more

The bathrooms are not maintained. No soap and when there is it is brown and not resembling soap at all. During covid 19 one would think soap in bathrooms would be top prioroty. There is a expectation to dry your hands under 6 inches of room for your hands. Where are thr tax dollars going? Time to replace some things! read more

This review is for the dog park. There are a large group of dogs and owners that come here daily. The owners are very inattentive to their dogs. They allow them to run around with little supervision. Seems they are distracted sitting in a circle talking amongst themselves. 3 dogs surrounded my daughter and one began nipping at her leg. The dog bit her hard enough to scare her and make her cry. The owner didn't even acknowledge was happening. It was up to me to correct a strangers dog and pull it back. If you show up here and there are a group of people in chairs sitting around, maybe come back another time. read more

I stopped here because it is an attractive, "trot around the park" kind of park that allows dogs to run leash free in a designated area. Well maintained, easy pathways, the entire park is lush and green with young trees and plenty of benches for the comfort of the human element. Bathroom facilities are near the dog park, and there is a large gazebo for bbqs and picnics. It is very family friendly. Parking is excellent. The drawbacks. First of all, after reading earlier reviews, I feel it really all depends on who shows up that day. Responsible owner, friendly dog... irresponsible owner, nasty ill behaved dog. That can happen anywhere. I pay no attention to those remarks. Secondly, yes, there are many dairy farms in the area. The smell is sometimes horrific. I have mixed feelings, this was their preserve first, mass housing encroached on their territory, land owners got greedy to cash in, and now, the dairies are no longer welcome. They represent a slow, countrified living that we are quickly losing, in the advancement of "civilization". The huge overhead wires are ugly, and I really don't want to know if they are sending out death rays. I won't be there long enough for them to penetrate my tin foil hat anyway. The Kryptonite is negligible. This *is* a very nice area. It is what it is...it is up to you to make it your own. read more

This review is for the dog park. Kind of stuck between stars. It was the first dog park I've ever been to so it's not bad. My issues and reason for less than 5 stars is all the holes. There are holes everywhere and on both sides. Shouldn't have to worry about your dog running around and falling in a hole and getting hurt. I found a new dog park but will come here maybe once every two weeks and the holes haven't gotten really bad. Kind of annoying because pictures don't do it justice. But if you walk around it's like you're going up and down hill constantly. The good thing about this park is how well lit it is. Other parks in the area get very dark and I don't feel as safe. The people who come to this park are amazing and friendly though so that's a plus. read more

I wish they would have planted more trees lining the park for more shade. There is hardly any, but I normally only come here on my runs and utilize the dirt/rock paths. This park is utilized a lot when football season is in session. The park is fun and my kids enjoy it, just like most parks because they get to act like crazy hooligans. read more

This location is 2 minutes away from our house so it's very convenient. I have a small pomeranian mix so it's perfect that there is 2 separate sections for small dogs and large dogs. Very specious and I love that there is grass. It's very clean and very well maintained. We came at 8am on a Saturday and I was sad to see that there weren't any other dogs. Best Dog Park we've been to so far. Water and trash are outside. There's also a park and bathrooms. There is a small and large dog section. Sadly, people do not pick up after their dogs. They do supply poop bags. I actually walked around the large dog park and picked up 3 bags full. There were at least 3 more bag fulls on the ground. Nowadays, it's always great to be able to find dog parks that are nice enough to be mistaken for human parks. Situated within a spacious recreational park, American Heroes Dog Park is a beautiful and well-maintained dog park that fits the bill. Rather than dirt or woodchip, the lawn consists of nothing but green grass that looks like it is watered more often than the average suburban lawn. Additionally, the owners are almost always friendly and I have not yet seen one aggressive dog in the large dog area. I can only wish that all other dog parks could all be this pleasant. Unfortunately, a possible reason for all this is that there are hardly ever any dogs here, period. I have come on weekends and weekdays during all times of the day, and rarely do I ever find more than two other dogs in the large dog section, although the small dog section does see a bit more traffic. Most of the time however, we are alone, which leaves my dog barking across the fence at the little dogs that she'd like to play with. It is unfortunate that such a beautiful park is essentially wasted, and I hope that other (responsible) owners and their (friendly) pooches will eventually get the word and make their way here soon. read more

Located near the Preserves and at the intersection of 65th Avenue, is this great park that has a lot of space for picnics, sports, a playground, and my favorite... an enclosed dog park! If you're looking to get your dog's energy out, this is a great place to take him/her. But if you want to socialize your dog, keep in mind that I've never really seen a day where there are several dogs playing here. You're better off going to Dairyland Park for dog socializing. We arrived at the park on a Monday at about 4pm and when we arrived there was only 2 dogs in the large dog section and zero in the small. However, at about 5pm the dog population went from 3 to about 15. Our 2nd visit was on a Friday and this time there was about 30 dogs!! It's a fun place for the dogs. It was our first time bringing my 5 month old german shepherd to a dog park so all this was new to her so of course she may bark but was corrected when she did I overheard one person said she was leaving because it was starting to get rough...Ah no she's a dog being brought to a new environment so she may have the need to bark but was on a leash and corrected. I just noticed the map on yelp is wrong. The park is on Hellman and Kimball in Eastvale. On Hellman between Kimball and Pine. I would google map the address. since the one on yelp is wrong. I'm so happy to have this park by my home. It is a great park. It's awesome that they have 2 sections. 1 for big dogs and 1 for small dogs. I wish the park wasn't so close to those cancer causing power lines... but oh well... it is a great park. For all the newbies, the regulars, and there are many of us, come to the dog park at least 2 hours before sunset. Because of time changes twice a year..that is why i say at least 2 hours before sunset. no one likes to come if it is too hot or too cold... so they come in the evenings. in the summer there should be plenty of people there between 6-7:30pm. Note- if there are football leagues on Tues & Thursdays. The dog club doesnt like to go on these days because there is no parking. so if u want to come when there are people, make sure u don't come when there is football training or soccer training. I hope everyone enjoys the dog park as much as i do. I wish there was one in my apt community, but until then, i will be coming to the dog park. :) I love our dog park. Again, so happy it is here. I've noticed many people from chino hills have found out about our park, and more are coming to our park, and now they are petitioning to get their own park in their city. best of luck to them. :) Note- I wish the park had a poop collection tank. I've seen this in on the news. some dogs have a tank that u can put the poop in, where it is converted to methane. and, the city uses the methane for energy. i think that is an awesome idea. again, wish we had that. I also wish there were more trees (shade) and some benches under the trees for people to sit on... just some ideas.. oh.. it would be great if there was a park that had a pond/pool or small lake.. that would be cute... so the dogs could get wet. :) Note- if u come in the evenings that is usually when people come..and there could be at least 10 dogs in each section. it is awesome. i love to see all the different dogs. Used to be faithful to this dog park but after seeing a few owners not abiding by the rules and also one major dog attack due to owners lack of reading their dog getting agitated I don't go as often. Yes the area is nice but people need to keep an eye on their dogs because many times there has been poop left all in the grass without being picked up. Yes it's great they provide doggie poo bags and I love the obstacle courses for the dogs but the big dog area is kind of small and should be bigger. I don't like the fact the water isn't inside because if you have more than one dog you need to take them out as well. read more

A decent dog park for locals! My dogs and I have been coming here for about 6 months or so. And we gotta say, we enjoy this park very much. We have met some cool people and furry friends while we spent our time here playing and hanging out. The park has two different areas dedicated for large and small dogs. Both are equally equipped and are popular to its locals. I believe the large dogs area is bigger than the small dogs' which makes sense. Bring your dogs around 6:30pm-7pm, you will be able to meet many sweet people and dogs if you are in the mood! Enjoy! read more

This place is amazing! I wasn't surprised not to see many dogs (only one) as it was morning & already over 80 degrees. Plus the fact that it's kind of hidden away & the Yelp map DOES NOT direct you to the park. It kept taking me to Harrison Ave despite the address being on Hellman Ave. It took me an embarrassingly long time to find it & I came upon it almost by accident! Worth it though! It is pristine & looks brand new. It was quiet. It has a separate area for small dogs & large dogs & a small obstacle course for the respective sizes. So even though there wasn't a dog there to play with, there is still something to do! The park is on the corner of Kimball & Hellman Ave. It's tucked away behind the housing developments. read more

However, I came on a sunny Saturday at prime time (around 11am) and there was literally only one other dog there. People might be going to the Chino Hills one instead since it's bigger and more popular. read more

Has bathrooms, a nice play area for children, a trail along the whole outside edge of the park, huge grassy field, a picnic area with built in BBQ's and a really nice off leash dog park. I gave this park 4 stars because one, sometimes the cow smell can be strong if the weather and wind is blowing just right. Second the power lines running through the park at times can be heard or effect how I feel, and the biggest thing that bothers me is the dog owners who don't know how to pick up after their dog(s). The park does provide poop bags and a trash can to toss it in, yet many owners seem to think picking up their dogs shit is beneath them. It's part of owning a dog people and if you want to bring your dog to a public off leash park YOU NEED TO PICK UP YOUR DOGS SHIT!!!! It's really not that hard. read more

3.5 this is a nice park if you are looking for a decent walk and a dog park. It also has a kids play area. There are not any sports fields or paved walking paths. It is in the middle of new housing tract communities and is very low key. There were a good amount of people using the gated dog park area when we went. The bathroom was clean and stocked. I come here a lot with my dogs. There are usually a lot of dogs here towards the evening time. People clean up their dog poop. Dogs are friendly so are the owners. Both small and big dog sides are roomy for all breeds. Poop bags are already there and, water faucet on the outside which sucks. But am glad there is shade for dogs and plenty of agility equipment.
