Bar tender Alana. Not sure if the scowl on the face met her attitude but I was wrong at first. She was pleasant, until I found out she thought it was ok to start texting my husband late at night. I guess this is common for her as a bar tender at the Legion and does this often. Ive been told she prays on married men. So yeah... good establishment BUT. When the commander is informed of this behavior and does nothing when the core values of the Legion promotes family and safety there is an issue. read more

I'm a new member.....My first experience @ #27.......I was soooo. disappointed ...maybe it's a bad Saturday night???? IDK... 1st time in! We just moved to this side of town so had to transfer our membership and sign up here. Our bartender Dee was very helpful! Drinks were great and so reasonable and even members came up to us and welcomed us in! Will be back soon to enjoy the events! Lance & Angela read more

Always great service at bar. Young lady taking food orders was not good. Music was too many slow songs fri night. Taco salad and chix fried steak good but big bob cod special was terrible- mushy -server said broasted???! question if really cod. Will not order fish again. read more

Just got a membership paid $45. Every time I go in they serve you in plastic cup. too many excuses like they don't have enough help or bar there's too many people there. I sat at the bar for my 2nd visit at the bar and the bartender ignored me waiting on everybody else and I said can I get some something to drink? She said she did not see me. their alcoholic beverages are way overpriced and they give them to you in a plastic cup, totally unsat for a private club with many workers. We've been going on Tuesday evenings for years, for the queen of hearts drawings. The food and service have always been decent, drinks are reasonable. About 3 years ago the kitchen staff left, and it's gone down hill ever since. Bill, the commander, is a control freak, and chased away most good help. The last two weeks our food order has somehow been lost, ordered around 6:15 didn't receive our food until 8:15. This week we ordered about 5:45, around 7:15 they came and said our ticket was lost... we left! No plans to ever return... read more

This place has really come a long way, much more pleasant since it's non smoking and the bartender Alana makes it worth going.

Had to pick somebody up from this establishment. It was very easy to find due to the large airplane out front. There is a large, old warplane on display housed on a pillar on the right side of the parking lot - you can't miss it. No complaints, the people here were friendly and helpful. read more

Best bartenders in town! Music by Roadhouse Ranglers is top notch. Post 27 has live music 5 days a week. Very mixed genre! The food is tasty and reasonably priced! Kitchen is open 5 days a week! read more

Great place friendly people and bar tenders. Food is always great and fast service. The commander does a great job salute

power chairs are welcomed. They don't allow the big 4 wheel power carts but will help you with a wheel chair which is a smart idea, only because the post is so busy there is not room for that type of unit. The food is good some slow service but that was only in my opion because it was so busy being their high time with 100's of snow birds there. They have good band's tue thru sat and all the members we meet where very friendly and fun. They have a person at the door to welcome you and check that you are an American legion member from someplace do to the state laws it is a closed club to members and guest, but don't limit how many guests you can bring in. read more

We just had a Celebration of Life for my children's father who was a Veteran. There were three problems we encountered. 1. We were told the tables and chairs on the dance floor would be arranged in rows. They were not. We needed to do that ourselves and put them back when finished. 2. We were told they had a working TV to show the video, they did not. We had to drive back home and bring our own, delaying the start of our service. 3. After over ordering food (it is hard to get an accurate headcount, people don't RSVP) We were told that we could not have the leftover food that I paid over 700.00 for. They said the food could not leave the premises per state food guidelines, which were not shown to me. Then, I asked what happens to all the leftover food they donate to the homeless. We were not told that we could not take leftovers home until the day old and it was not in the contract any place, I asked them to show me. . The food was fine, I think things went well enough due to the help of friends and family. I will not be having any future events here. read more

We have been going to this Legion for the last nine years. Never had as bad food service as we had today. After waiting 30 minutes for a food waitress, I walked up to the counter and the waitress for my section told me to go sit down she was trying to get there. Waited another 10 minutes went back to the counter and again she told me to go sit down she was working her best. Left and got fast food for dinner. Probably won't be back. read more

Smoke stench beyond the pale. Have to walk through smoke to get drink. The chicken way over done. Couldn't get away from smoke. Mashed potatoes apparently instant. We've been going there for years. Terrible experience. Waitress very nice. read more

You guys allowing a lot of drunk drivers to go home plastered I know 2 individuals that come home from your club driving in waisted!!how do I know this?!?because u can tell when they can't hold a simple 2 word conversation as I'm letting them in the gates..I ask where they partied that night?low and behold every time I see them this way they say the legion!!!it's just down the road!! Um ok !!Noooo! So!!! Freaking waisted don't tell me bartenders u don't notice as thier stumbling out they might be old!!ok ya blame it on thier old ness!! But you and I know you over serve them!!everytime!!I guess looking for that extra tip?!?maybe next time call them a cab I'm tired of seeing this!!it only gets worse when season is here then it's like a handful a weekend!!not good legion not good! read more

Love the food, music and bar. Strong dislike of the SMOKE. I live here all year, but can't go near the place in winter when it is crowded with SMOKERS. Would it not be better to swap smoking and non smoking rooms so we could enjoy the music and dancing? read more

American legion post 27. Large Post, very busy in the winter months. Large menu, with meals served seven days a week. Entertainment, good bar service and excellent food prices. read more
