If you're looking for a true taste of Arizona history, character, and downright great food,…read moreDirtwater Springs is an absolute must-visit. Walking through the doors feels like stepping into an Old West ghost town saloon, complete with authentic antiques, historic relics, rustic wood floors, and enough character to keep you exploring long after you've finished your meal. The building and its legendary atmosphere have made it a local favorite for decades, and it's even gained a reputation among paranormal enthusiasts as one of Arizona's haunted destinations. Now let's talk about the food. The Bison Burger was one of the most delicious burgers I've ever had--perfectly cooked, flavorful, and worth the trip all by itself. The menu is packed with hearty Southwestern and American favorites that fit the Old West setting perfectly. What really makes Dirtwater Springs special, though, is the people. The bartenders and servers bring just the right mix of sass, humor, and genuine hospitality. Expect some playful sarcasm, plenty of laughs, and a welcoming atmosphere that makes you feel like a regular, even on your first visit. Whether you're coming for the history, the ghost stories, the amazing burgers, or just a fun and unique Arizona experience, Dirtwater Springs delivers. Come hungry, stay awhile, and don't be surprised if you find yourself planning your next visit before you've even left the parking lot. Highly recommended!

The potato was so big I could not finish the soup and a container was offered by our waitress. Hubby had a bacon cheeseburger with fries. He liked the pickle on top of his bun. Thought it was a nice playful touch. Our waitress was attentive with drinks. What we didn't care for. The food took forever. A party of five seated after us was served before us. I understand when things go wrong or take longer. Please tell your diners why there is a hold up. I'd much prefer that than. Itching and watch people who arrived after us being served before us with similar dishes I might add. When in the area I may try again. The place has a cute country theme. However, I will probably try another establishment before I come back. If I could give 3.5 I would. They deserve that.

This despite them stating they would fix it. Apparently even when my credit care company contacted them they have not responded! This means they have had use of my funds for over a month now. Any reputable business would immediately refund/credit the customer. BEWARE!!! Original Review: Check your credit card bill! I was charged FOUR times for our $60 lunch. I didn't catch the duplicate charges until ten days later, and conveniently they had not either, esp. given that it was a very slow weekday in the off season. What followed was a shocking level of rudeness, nonresponsiveness and defensiveness. I called four times. Finally got a message to text details to a specified number - which I did. No response for two more days so I called again and this time got the co-owner Tina. She said no text had been received so I re-sent it to her personal number from the incoming call. As others have reported, she was incredibly aggressive and nasty to me, quite the opposite of apologetic! Multiple other reviews report the same level of crazy from the owners. Our conversation was followed up by a text from her that said, among other things, quoted verbatim: "Well I'm sorry that you had this problem. Sometimes things don't go your way and sometimes things don't go my way." "...that's why God put erasers on pencils because we all make mistakes in our lifetime..." After that exchange, I contacted my credit card company. I am not the only one reporting being charged more than once in these reviews. That shouldn't be something that happens over and over. And if it happens, it should be immediately corrected and apology issued. This situation cost me way too much time and energy to correct and Tina's attitude and tone was especially inexcusable in light of that. As of the time of this writing, NINE days after Tina said she would look into it but "needed time", I have not heard a peep from her or from anyone at The Hitching Post. (She did not know that I contacted my credit card company as a backup plan.) The way she spoke to me was so aggressive that a random person I did not know overheard the conversation because it was on speaker (I didn't realize he was there.). When I hung up he walked over to me and said "I don't mean to be listening in, but I just want to say that woman was incredibly out of line and rude to you!" Skip this place!!!!

Went to the Jazzbird venue. Very disappointed. It's a venue that has no identity. It's not a…read morerestaurant. It's not a bar. It's not a nightclub. It's not a music venue. It tries to be those things and fails in all. The layout: It's a long narrow room. The stage is on the smaller far end. The tables are arranged going back along the long direction. If you're sitting more than halfway back you'll be disappointed in the seating. In the back are high-top tables which are very small. The "bar" is along the long wall. The "restaurant" is catered food ( I don't think the venue has a kitchen). It's arranged buffet style on portable tables in the lobby. You go in a line and chose your dinner and they hand it to you in a plastic to-go container. You eat at your table and then bus your leftovers and trash to the trash can. There is no wait service. Just like eating at a fast food restaurant. If your sitting at a small high-top table there's not enough room for more than two people to eat. You'll be seated with strangers and they'll be right in your face as you eat. The "bar" only has beer and wine for alcohol. Or you could get a canned mixed drink. Stand in line and wait your turn at the end of the bar. The bar seats are reserved for the show. Remember no wait service. So if you want a drink during the show you have to go to the bar. Music was not Jazz. Very slow, boring folk. The crowd was 70+ year olds. And they charge for this experience? Won't be going back.
