Delicious! Stopped in for the Friday Fish Fry while staying in a nearby town. Whitefish (locally caught), haddock, and perch were the kinds my group tried and they did not disappoint. Many other restaurants have measly portions but our plates (and bellies) were full. Staff and patrons were friendly and answered all of our questions about the American Legion and the Munising area. Wonderful place for a great burger and homemade onion rings. I had the mushroom Swiss burger with lettuce, tomato, pickle and onion. Everything was the delicious, reasonably priced and the people were so friendly. Would certainly come back again! read more

Great Friday white fish at a very reasonable price. Located on the shore of Lake Superior. A dated building, but really what American Legion isn't. Munising seems like a tourist town that has not yet recognized it has become a tourist destination. The American Legion had a locals kind of feel about it, but still very welcoming to out of towners. The deep fried white fish was very good. Quite surprisingly this was my favorite meal while visiting the area. read more

Walk in, seat yourself! Seem to be lots of locals dining. Everyone gave friendly, welcoming smiles! Great staff, great food! No frills food, just done simple and delicious. Food came out hot, fresh and fast. Thursday burger night left us happy and full. Generous servings of everything we ordered. They carry Coke products and I saw neighboring tables order Miller Lite. There is a bar but cannot say what else is available. Definitely support them before going for hamburgers anywhere else in town! Will definitely return when we visit Munising next summer!! read more
