Many people may have the similar new year resolution to exercise. I decide to add a suggestion to…read morethe gym that I am normally go to at this review. Not many people know about this gym that is part of the Hillsborough County Park and Recreation department. We have use this gym for our badminton club free play night for almost a year. This facilities have soccer field at the back of the building. Many activities took place at this location include children soccer team. The media room have computer for the after school care. They also have the theater performance art class. They have high impact aerobic class and low impact exercise class. The gym floor is two basketball courts two volley ball courts or four badminton courts. Our badminton club play two night a week. This building is actually our tax money to build it. The gym floor is spring board with wood flooring. They are very nice. Please check out the available classes that are ongoing now by calling the center or walk up to the main lobby for the available exercise class. Make good use of this new facilities.

Awesome playground and covered benches…read more I came here for a Mom's club playdate. It was a snack potluck and hang out. I snagged the last parking spot (as others have mentioned the parking lot is small, but you can park at the school if you can't find a spot.) I only walked through the actual rec building to get to the park. I was amazed by the outside area. The benches are covered and there are a ton of cubby holes where you can store your stuff. The playground is covered too! We're in Florida, shade matters! There is also a huge grassy area in case you want to throw a ball or just let your child run around and blow off steam. Whatever floats your boat. Once my child starts walking I'm sure we will be back many times.

I've been to this place on four different occasions and never had any issues. I came with friends,…read morehad fun, and found the environment friendly. The service was respectable and the pricing reasonable. However, on my most recent visit, things took a turn for the worse. We ended up leaving early due to not one, but two altercations involving hot-headed teenagers decked out in gear. During one game, my brother exchanged shots with one of them and called him out, saying, "You're out too." Instead of accepting it, the player yelled at my brother and then unleashed full-auto fire on him at close range. This caused profuse bleeding from the neck and left his entire side covered in welts -- and this was through a thick sweater. They claimed their guns were capped at 350 FPS, but it's easy to crank them up after testing -- though that's beside the point. The real issue is the attitude: taking the game so seriously that you lash out and physically harm others is disgusting. Even more disappointing was the staff's response. The player in question was clearly a regular, as the referee called him by name and simply told him to leave -- no ban, no formal disciplinary action. In the very next game, one of his friends (who had video footage of the incident) continued to defend him. When we brought this up to the staff at the front desk, the manager sided with the regular, dismissing our concerns.

This rating is not for the facility; but for the money grab that is going on outside the building…read more I'm calling a spade a spade. This review is not for the complex itself. The -1 review is that this complex is now charging for parking. Really? My son has officiated games and played games on this campus for 4+ years; now he is refereeing games on county fields and not only was he taken by surprise; but the other refs in his area (all driving teenagers) by a new parking fee. This is ridiculous and a money grab. What county run facility charges for parking? Wesley Chapel District Park? Starkey Ranch? Tampa Bay Tournament Sports Plex? All not!!! Do the right thing and remove this "tax". My son has probably lost money today from his "ticket" and will pay for it with his referee earnings. What a joke. Edit: at the 11 hour and 59 minute mark he was given a code to comp. the parking with the "Honk" app that when all was applied was labeled "invalid". Booooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo!!!!

The Wiregrass facility and staff are world class. Over the week they became family. Matt, the Operations Manager, was one of the hardest working guys that week. Any need we had, he went above and beyond to assist us. The days were long and he kept a smile the whole time. Sharaya, the F&B manager, became a fast friend. Her staff was the most helpful, kind, and service-oriented I have ever encountered, top to bottom. It was a difficult event, but working with the Wiregrass staff was a true highlight. If you're considering a location to host an event, don't hesitate. The staff will back you 100% and make sure you have everything you need. They checked in with us personally on a continuous basis, making sure we were supported. If I'm ever back in the area I wouldn't even hesitate to stop in just to say hello. Phenomenal team!

LA Fitness is a high quality gym overall. This location wasn't very crowded for a Friday evening,…read morewhich made the whole experience feel relaxed and enjoyable. The pool, hot tub, and sauna were all at perfect temperatures, and there was plenty of space in each one. There's also a large cycling room and mirror room for dancing. I also appreciated the little touches too, like having shampoo, conditioner, and body wash available in all the showers, and the water in the shower was nice and hot also. It's also great that they offer a "Kids Klub" even though it appears to only be open one day a week based on the posted sign. The fresh fruit smoothies are also a great option particularly for morning workouts and the lockers are spacious and give you the option of bringing your own lock. There were a couple of things that felt a bit off. Fox News was playing in the bathroom, which came across as unprofessional, and one of the benches in the sauna felt unsafe since the wood gave way. I also couldn't locate the weight machines, although I didn't check everywhere so they may have been on another floor. Overall, it was a great gym experience and I look forward to coming back!

This gym could use new equipment, a cleaning crew, rules and wipe stations not just hand sanitizer…read moredispensers. If you have high or even basic standards avoid the S Dale Mabry LA Fitness location. Who cares if you have to drive a little out of the way! Cleanliness needs to be drastically improved and being a Signature club, it's beyond unacceptable. It is not an elevated experience in any way. I was visiting from Winter Park so I just picked the closest location to where I was staying. After I checked in, the front desk woman chased me down and said I had a standard membership and needed to come back to the desk to upgrade the a Signature membership or pay a $10 day pass to use this location. I paid the extra fee but the whole experience was very disappointing. Numerous machines are old and rusty and I attempted to use 3 different elliptical machines before I landed one that worked. The whole place lacked the basic standards like access to multiple wipe stations for to clean off your machines, no cleaning staff to be found and the women's shower area had a pool of muddy water that had accumulated. It lacked the basic etiquette of other gyms for instance, people use the sauna to dry their dirty wet towels! I should have taken pics of the shower area too but I hightailed it out of there! The WiFi is spotty and drops in the sauna and that was the final straw. Time to go! When I was leaving I let her know that for being a "Signature" location and to pay extra for access, the place was sub-par and she asked, "is that good or bad?" I said let me put this politely, it's bad. Very bad. Tomorrow I will try the one farther north or south in the Tampa area and hope for the best!
