Fast forward to Thanksgiving 2022... 4 year old grandson decides to throw something and dented the kick panel under the refrigerator. I was really something rather minor... but my OCD was kicking in big time, so I gave Rissa a call and she sorted it out... and I mean WAY over and above sorted it out. I have rarely ever been as happy with a vendor / provider -- while I had expected the worst, it was very much the opposite -- they have not yet invented words to describe how much I think this firm has some of the best "after sale support" [and we're talking a LOT of years past the actual sale!!]. While I doubt I'll be replacing a kitchen again anytime soon... if anyone ever asks me for a recommendation, there will be zero hesitation on this recommendation.

We really enjoyed working with Carmi to establish the design and that process was very painless and flexible. We were set to start on renovations in early 2020 however with COVID, we had to delay our renovations due to the building's policy. Kuche+Cucina was super understanding and held our cabinets for us until we were ready and felt comfortable with proceeding with renovations given the circumstances. However, the main reason that this is a 3 star review is that we definitely had some issues working with the renovation coordinator. Though I think we were all in unfamiliar waters with the pandemic I definitely felt like there were quite a few times when the ball was dropped on their side. For example we weren't told in advance that our contractor would need to move certain outlets in order for the cabinets to be installed even though we had asked explicitly beforehand if there was anything that needed to be done in advance. This caused delays in the whole process and required the other renovation company to schedule last minute changes around them which luckily they had no issue with. There were also multiple times that we were asked for information in an urgent manner that we had already provided prior which made the process quite stressful. In addition it seemed like coordination between Kuche+Cucina and the actual workers was a bit messy and just confusing in general. We would be asked one thing by the workers and be told by Kuche+Cucina to just not worry about it. But then later it would come up as a last minute problem and Kuche+Cucina seemed just as confused as we were and said that this was an issue with the contractors rather than take responsibility for their poor communication with their contractors. I expected a profession kitchen renovation company to be more organized especially for a relatively straightforward cabinet installation. Some requests were also totally ignored. For example, we requested that a soap dispenser hole be made in the countertop we ordered and received confirmation from the group but no hole was ever made. It's not really a huge deal to us but it's definitely just one example of many small communication issues that we had with Kuche+Cucina and the communication between them and their contractors. Meanwhile the other renovation company that we worked with for the rest of the apartment work was super communicative and easy to work with even when we hit unexpected road bumps. Since all this occurred during an unprecedented pandemic I would take our experience with a grain of salt but we probably wouldn't choose to work with Kuche+Cucina in the future.

My relative entered into negotiations with Artistic Kitchens and Baths. Mr. John Pica personally…read morecame out and provided an initial quote of $7,000 for the work. In good faith, my relative issued him a check for that full amount upfront. At first, they were not looking for a refund. They simply expected Mr. Pica to return and complete the work as agreed. However, after receiving payment, he never came back. Despite waiting a significant amount of time and making multiple calls, no work was started. When finally pressed for answers, Mr. Pica claimed he had purchased materials, but instead of taking responsibility, he behaved as though the delay and lack of work were somehow the customer's problem. When asked for a resolution, he stated he would only return $5,000, keeping $2,000 for his "time," and refused to do anything further. Since then, there has been no response, no phone call, no correspondence, and no refund of any sort. Mr. Pica took the money and disappeared. Shame on him for taking advantage of elderly customers who entered into this agreement in good faith. It is despicable and deplorable that a supposed legitimate businessman would conduct himself in this manner. I strongly advise the public to avoid doing business with Artistic Kitchens and Baths or John Pica. This has been a horrible, dishonest, and predatory experience.

The store I had bought from for the first reno didn't have the tile in stock, so I shopped around for another source and found Wayne Tile online. I put in an inquiry through the Wayne website and worked with Kyle by email. He was vey responsive, offered a great price, gave me options for delivery or pick-up, and made sure the tile was pulled and ready for pick-up. Pick-up was effortless. We placed an order exceeding $40,000 and expected a reasonable level of communication, accountability, and customer service. Instead, we have faced repeated problems--from issues with the installation of several appliances to a serious lack of follow-up regarding outstanding items. We are currently left with a large opening in our expensive stone countertop while waiting for a teppanyaki plate, yet we cannot get a clear answer about its status or what we are supposed to do next. Our sales representative, Stanley, has stopped answering our calls and has not responded with any meaningful update about our order. After making such a substantial purchase, customers should not have to repeatedly chase the company simply to learn what is happening with their appliances. The lack of responsiveness and transparency has made us feel completely disregarded once the sale was completed. We were patient and gave Designer Appliances multiple opportunities to resolve these matters privately, but the continued silence has left us deeply frustrated. Based on our experience, their after-sales service and accountability have fallen far below what anyone should expect--especially when spending more than $40,000.

initially Ken was good with getting things to job, ordering, but his installers lack the experience…read morefor high end work, and this was not an really hard kitchen. First, they came in an SUV with tools in back, lol. Then they left a mess for me to clean up. Then between then and Ken they did not know how to put up crown facial board correctly, and parts were put up crooked, Lol. Then they did not put up light rail right under cabinet. I asked ken not to send that guy back, but he did anyway because he did not want to pay someone else to do the right way. Cabinet knobs were put on wrong, and each time the clean-up was non-existent. Then the next nightmare; the base cabinets were not installed square as the installers never checked. Your supposed to shim them and check. So when the counter tops that I bought from then were installed the over hang on counter was not strait. Ken said no one will notice that, lol. Also the dishwasher opening was done to big and needed a filler. I had high hopes when I met Ken and ordered but in the end he just didn't care, and his men are not craftsman working out of the back of their car, no proper van/truck with tools set up like a real craftsman would have. They even came at night cutting on the deck with no table for their saw. I had to pay another longtime friend to finish the job correctly as best as we could after multiple screw-ups/mistakes He would not pay for these mistakes or offer the right refund either. My advice to anyone is to buy cabinets the quality you want then hire your own installer who has a track record of experience. Not these 2nd hand guys who don't give a crap what they are doing. I will be filing a civil suit soon in Morris county special civil division.
