The receptionist was courteous, and I vaguely remember her connecting me to Daniella who came to the front area when she called her. Daniella arrived smiling graciously and very matter-of-factly welcomed me into the fabric area. OMG! The array of samples, the tones, colors, variety and quantity. I am still surprised and proud that I walked out there with a decision. The end product rocks! Let me tell you why. Daniella is an expert at what she does. LISTENING to what I described as my need and interest. That is the skill of a professional. It must be understood that I was in fabric heaven and had to choose my robe, one prettier than the other. All I can say is Daniella had her head on in spite of my euphoria. I can go on but suffice it to say It was a moment at the fabric beach. The process of ordering/supplier contact was handled by my trusty designer. My take home orders were to take the materials with my cushions and pillows when they arrive to my upholsterer. Daniella's art of cording by size and effect also helped make the final project what was beyond my expectation. My home is a sweeter more beautiful living space than before. Mike did a great job with our kitchen layout, Glenn and Don communicated well and the installers did a great job. The installers have excellent craftsmanship and are genuinely nice guys; they want you to be happy with the final product. Our job was finished in Aug 2021. We are happy with the final product and our kitchen looks great. A few items to note: 1. Mike is an awesome designer and nice guy but we needed to chase multiple times to get our plans after our deposit was paid. Mike had to personally drive over to get plans to us for a meeting with our general contractor which added additional stress. Communication and follow up could be improved. 2. Get installation costs in writing in your contract to avoid the actual cost being over what was verbally communicated. We ultimately arrived in a good place but the back and forth on this added stress. Would recommend HK&B.

There work was careful, extraordinary, fast and beyond reasonably priced. They not only made us a great counter and backsplash they installed it with ease. The difficulty of our space is there isn't a flat or straight wall in our 1929 apartment. These guys cut a piece of stone perfectly for us. From initial conversation to measurements to two installs within one week (first counter then the backsplash) these guys were easy to deal with.
