Läderach took over 34 of Godiva's leases in the U.S., after Godiva closed all of their brick & mortar locations. We tried a few of their chocolates but ended up going with the milk chocolate hazelnut to take home! Very delicious. I also got one of the truffles/bonbon to try: pralines pravé Trinidad and I'm excited to try it later. Our total was ~$16 for both items. They have a lot of options to choose from, which I love! Everything seems to be well made & tasty. One of my favorites we tried was a strawberry chocolate & seemed like they used real sun dried strawberries to make it. Highly recommend trying Läderach if you haven't yet!

Today i walked by the location at prudential and there was a gentleman outside with milk choco - hazelnut bars broken up for samples. I said "hey i love that particular combo" so agreed to take a sample. Went back about 20 min later with the lady and bought a a broken chunk from their large slabs. I honestly don't have receipt but forget if it was 4oz or 8oz haha i ate it already. It was 16 bucks. The lady opted for a fudge cube pralines pavè Trinidad. They checked us out gave us nice bag and packaging and we were out. The choco sampling did it for me expensive yes but it was so clean and good. I'd get it occasionally in the future. Don't be afraid to ask for samples, they'll gladly let u try (at least the big slab ones) not sure about the Bon Bon style ones.

Given constant traveling and life overall, we did not get to partake in a class of this type until Labor Day weekend in Boston. My companion set this up all by himself with the lovely Beth. Beth was very communicative, even giving us directions to her place, as well as to many of the attractions that the city of Boston has to offer. It was just us two, along with Beth and her husband Steve. They were so nice, making us feel very welcome in their home (because shockingly this is at their house!). Beth is a master at her craft. She's been making chocolate for years and it really shows. Her chocolate was so pretty and yummy. As for the actual chocolate-making class, we began with tasting chocolates from all around the world to then attempting to make our own. Have to say the chocolate was delicious and rich. Definitely not the type of thing you can eat all in one go unless you are a true chocolate lover. That said, this was quite fun and we took many goodies back home to Florida. Definitely something I would want to do again, and more so, Beth and Steve are such kind folk that you want to invite them out to lunch or something along those lines. Felt as if we were with friends.

I ordered a mini chocolate/maple swirl with chocolate sprinkles and it was DELIGHTFUL! Very smooth, rich, and creamy soft serve. The maple flavor was a nice twist. They also have soft serve, which is both delicious and more reasonably priced. Super beautiful space, and super nice employees! -- I frequently visit this candy shop at least once a week as it's the only way to get my steps in this winter (I live in southie, so I make the commute by foot) AND because my sweet tooth practically compels me to spend an exorbitant amount of money on swedish candy. So, I feel like I have formed a strong opinion about Madeleine's. First, it's colorful, it's beautiful, and it's incredibly welcoming with the way they have been decorating for Halloween, Thanksgiving, and Christmas. Feels like I'm in Stars Hallows. They always have a new candy of the week to try for free at the counter, which is also a fun way of distracting me as I tap my card again and again for a (10 dollar) baggie of bubs. Yes, ten dollars for a baggie of PRE-packaged swedish candy. That's where this place loses its star. Week to week the mix of candy can change, and often times I'm left with candy that I don't really want. But is it worth it as a midweek pick me up? Yes, sometimes. BUT they also added a soft serve window that rotates flavors by the seasons (maple is my favorite), and you have the option to add a generous amount of bubs for only $2. The ice cream is much more reasonably priced. That makes a visit here worth it. This place is a must-stop in the south end area if you have a sweet tooth but expect it to be on the pricier side.

They had a thin string on the back to mimic a tail, which also helps keep your hands clean--a fun and thoughtful design. The cocoa and milk flavors were pure and rich, with a smooth and silky texture. I personally didn't find it too sweet. My friends who tasted it also raved about it. Pavé Glacé: The best of the bunch. Made in the same way as nama chocolate生チョコ--frozen chocolate ganache, but this one had a fine layer of cocoa powder, making it denser and more solid. It melted in mouth and starts to linger, with a more distinct flavor profile from bitter to sweet to fragrant. Sesame Truffe: Two pieces in one serving was perfect. A thin layer of light cocoa powder on the surface, the shell was so crisp that it crumbled in mouth, and the flowing filling with nutty and caramel flavors immediately spills out. However, I didn't taste much sesame; it's closer to hazelnut, the classic chocolate flavor, and a bit on the sweeter side.

They feature lots of Swiss treats and there's something everyone would like. I ordered a milk chocolate hot chocolate and my friend got a dark chocolate. The drinks are rich and super smooth. I always need a little water which luckily they have a pitcher with little cups. We then split two treats, the Engadiner Nusstorte and Cherry Tart. Both were delicious, and they complimented the drinks nicely, especially the Cherry adding that contrasting tartness to a sweet beverage. The gentleman working was also nice he cut the treats in half for us to split. I was shocked how busy it was, at most points there wasn't a free table inside, as people come here to chat and enjoy. It was the perfect place to meet a friend and I'd come back for sure.
