I was so surprised when Cindy moved it and knocked on our door to let us know. My 92 year old dad lives with us and Tom made sure there was a level path for him to walk up to the front door. Their open hearts also helped him with his car key fob. Tom spent a lot of time with us on making choices. On one occasion we called him and said we were going to check out a tile store. He said "I'll join you". He brought samples to the house. My husband said it would be nice to have a water feature and a slide. Next thing we know, Tom and crew have a design for us and now it's incorporated. Pictures and phone calls when they are on vacation just to make sure we are happy with progress. We are hosting a big party in a month and they are ensuring as much as can be done is finished. We are so happy to be working with them.

The good * Sunset is deeply knowledgeable about yard projects and pools, and their pricing was reasonable. * Although we already had paid-for design work from another agency, Steve tweaked and rendered updates to the yard at no charge. They also gave us special consideration on a putting green at nearly no cost. * José has a deep knowledge of plants and landscape. We like our backyard a lot--the plants have filled in beautifully and the overall look is very lush. * Most things have held up with little wear after a year, aside from a few broken sand-set pavers. * The whole yard photographs really well. * I've referred them to two friends- one finished his project in July. The bad * Our backyard doesn't appear to have been graded correctly before the rear fence went in. It's not very noticeable, but it was mentioned to me by the job-site manager's son. There's no drainage issues, just unusual info. * The job-site manager--whom we liked--was caught taking papayas from our neighbor (he even used a ladder). We were told he was removed from the project, but he later returned intermittently, so we mostly operated with a sometimes-manager. * We paid for a lemon tree, but that season's trees were diseased--we still don't have our lemon tree. * The pool looks great except for three issues: one jet was cut oddly and protrudes; a light isn't centered; and some grout added later is a noticeably brighter white than the rest. * the mini fridge was installed and the space for the door is not large enough. The door rubbing has damaged the stucco on the bar/grill area. The unusual * There were instances of needless, small lies. Because we have cameras, it was easy to cross-check whether someone had actually come by. At times I was told a visit or fix happened when it hadn't. I was even told a paver was broken and then fixed, but neither was true. My wife had similar conversations. * When I referred a friend (a large project), I was told I'd receive a $1,000 referral payment upon signing--very generous and not expected. When I checked in, it became payable at project completion. I just received it, and it was half--$500. I was also told the check had been made earlier, but it was dated the day it was delivered. I don't regret using Sunset--they offer strong expertise and fair pricing. I'd simply like the bar door fixed, the sand-set pavers replaced and our lemon tree delivered. --Josh

We reached out online, answered a few project questions, included a photo of current pool/spa, and immediately received a response and our first meeting was scheduled with Raymond. Of course our simple wants ultimately turned into what we truly desired in this remodel. Raymond was amazing. He was an excellent communicator which earned him bonus points from the start. Not always knowing the questions to ask, Raymond was very confident in his knowledge, informative with our options, and very patient with us. He always remained professional and respectful when he had to suggest that what we wanted might not work out, or if we had to decline options that were too costly. Most importantly, his quote was extremely detailed and everything was always transparent. We liked that Angels Pools is a local family owned company with all of their own employees, no subs!! We knew they were the pool company for us. Contract was signed, project starts, and thats when we really got to see this powerhouse team work their magic. Most requests, questions and concerns at this stage were filtered thru Arlene, Office Mgr. She was awesome and probably had the toughest job of handling just about everything with exception of coming out and remodeling the pool herself. As demo days are not fun for anyone, we were amazed at how quickly the process took, and how many team members were onsite to make that happened. One team would go and others would come in depending on the scope of work needed. Junior being the Project Mgr was both kind in his demeanor, professional and kept the ball rolling smoothly throughout the entire project. In the closing stretch there were a couple of small hiccups that were addressed very quickly, all resulting in a beautifully remodeled pool, spa, and paver deck. We are so happy and are very much appreciative of Angel and his entire team. We have already and will continue to recommend Angel's Pools to friends, family and anyone that's asks.
