I popped into American Picture Frame this morning for the first time and met Tim, who was eager to help. I needed a new mat and glass for a small framed pastel. I had an idea of what I wanted for color and Tim offered what I was looking for within two examples. He was able to take care of my project while I waited. He attached the illustration with archival tape and made very precise cuts to the mat. I'm one of those annoying perfectionists most shop owners dread. What a beautiful job as I have a very keen eye for exact measurements. I considered the price very reasonable. Tim will most definitely get my next framing job. read more

I guess part of growing up is realizing that just because you can buy a $25 poster frame at the box stores- doesn't mean you should. Stopped in to American Picture Frame to see what it would cost to get a vintage poster framed. I was caught off guard by how reasonably priced it turned out to be! He spent the time to demo frame colors/materials, explained the benefits of different backings and glass (who woulda even thunk it mattered!), and gave all the cost options. Exactly a week later we got the call they were done, and they look amazing! Do not go to the big chain craft store for framing. A lot of them outsource your custom order, which doesn't feel right when you think about the cost. When you hang up a print that means a lot to you, it's a great feeling to know someone from your neighborhood helped preserve it forever! read more

This store is an absolute gem! My mother and I visited several stores to get quotes- we wanted some old photos framed as a surprise housewarming gift for my sister. While moving I knocked down a neighbors painting that was in the hallway, breaking the frame. The frame was too far gone to be mended. At first I went to a chain store Michael's, they were of no help, and overall could care less. I googled frame places in Warwick and this place popped up. Brought in picture and the broken frame, I explained the situation and right of the bat Tim, the owner I presume, was sympathetic and accommodating. He helped me pick a appropriate frame that was also affordable. He gave me a reasonable time when it would be completed and I left. Surprisingly i received a call the very next day saying it was completed and could be picked up anytime, even willing to stay after hours if i could not make it during the day. The frame and painting looked even better then before! I had a all around great experience!! this will be the only place i will go in the future and I highly recommend them!! read more
