Every time I called, both during regular office hours and on the weekend, I was shunted off to their messaging service instead of being connected directly to their HVAC team. It was unbelievably frustrating that I could not talk to anyone who could do anything to help, especially during regular office hours. I left a message each time anyway, but did not get a response from a member of the team until four days later. No part of this experience was acceptable. I understand that schedules change, parts don't come in on time, etc, but I cannot understand the lack of communication. I had to stay home the entire day of my appointment waiting for the technician, which disrupted my work schedule. I spent the next day at home too, just in case he or any other member of the team called and was able to make it out then, which meant canceling other plans. The only reason I kept calling after that instead of giving up and finding help elsewhere is because I had already paid over $800 to get a replacement part ordered. All of this happened after sweating through multiple weeks of Patriot's lead time that my girlfriend, our pets, and I spent in the summer heat with a nonfunctional heat pump. Now that I have my refund in hand for their "service", I have sought the assistance of another HVAC service company in town who actually picks up the phone when I call and shows up for scheduled appointments. I will be encouraging my friends in the valley with HVAC issues to avoid Patriot at all costs. I'm at a loss to explain how they're still in business.

During the sell of our house in the spring of 2026, the potential buyers of our home brought in…read moreTumwater to do a well water test/draw down. Early morning, two days later, we stopped getting water in our house. Our cistern was very low as well so we contacted the company we've worked with when installing the well to check it out. They discovered Tumwater had dismantled the well pump during their test but failed to hook it back up. We never even considered that the Tumwater visit could be related to losing our water. Since Rockwell (the company we've worked with) was already there, we had them fix the pump. We'd already been without water nearly 8 hours. When we contacted Tumwater about covering the bill to have the pump reassembled and hooked up, they were very unapologetic and told us we should have called them first and that they would only give us $100 because we didn't (the bill was $340.00). We then contacted our real estate agent who attempted to work it with Tumwater, but experienced the same and was told they refuse to pay their competitor. No apologies for their worker failing to do the job right. No apologies for leaving us without water for a day. Ultimately our agent agreed to pay the bill and asked that Tumwater pay him instead. I think Tumwater's attitude was petty and unprofessional. After that experience, I would never use or recommend them.

It's not a time consuming or complicated process to remove a water softener. And why can't they figure out when they can do this? Scheduling is not that hard. And neither is communication. I complain to hubs who tells me that this company is notoriously difficult to work with and drags their feet terribly on water deliveries so he and his colleagues are without water regularly. I have to question why anyone is using this company. Are there truly no other options in the valley? Well, we sold the house and your rented water softener is still sitting in there.
