So, let's set the record straight. My wife contacted this company against my advice because she wanted glass for the showers. Okay, fine. Once I heard they lied about the glass tinting and additional charges, I contacted my own guy I've worked on jobs with and he confirmed that this company has a terrible reputation and it's well deserved. I told my wife to put the kaibosh on it. She tried, but the glass was already being made, or so they said at least, so we went thru with it. The contact and details are unclear to me as I had absolutely no interest in doing business with them. But I did, however, take time off work to be at the house even tho we were initially told they would install on the weekend when I was already going to be there. Now, mind you, we'd just recently bought the house and didn't live there yet as I was renovating it in my spare time. They were meant to be here from 16.00-1800(4p-6p). After 17.00 I called and texted several times and only once I threatened to charge it all back did they get back to us, around 18.15, if I'm not mistaken, well and truly after the time they should have been done and gone. We left at nearly 20.00(8p), at almost exactly 20.00, they called and texted us that they were there. Excuse me? You left me hanging for hours and I waited with my thumb up my ass. You guys can come back on the weekend when I'm already going to be there working on the house. They obliged because ofc they did, they fucked up. I expect some professional courtesy. Emergencies happen, shit happens. But you contact your clients if you're running late or can't make it, it's really a simple concept and most companies worth working with in skilled trades provide that, not these guys.
The installers were well meaning, decent guys. But they did break my t moulds, that's not in question. No one had stepped foot in that room since I'd taken the base moulding and carpet out. Not only that, but the reason we used a company like this rather than me installing it myself is that the showers are not plumb and square like they should be, so that warranted custom glass. We didn't get custom glass, there's no tilt to match the pitch of the walls. They never specified if we were getting stainless steel or aluminum track, and I'm still unsure about that detail. I know we damn well paid enough for stainless steel, but that's never been clarified.
On to payment. This part I've only been sort of in the loop on, but suffices to say they dropped the ball, which is no shock given the rest of what I've just described. And then, after two months thinking this was all over and done with, moved into the new house all cozy and whatnot, some lawyer says these clowns wanna put a lien on my house? Gtfoh. You guys fucked up, not us. And I wasn't ever going to mention you or this terrible experience to anyone. Now tho, I'm going to rail on this shitty experience every single chance I get. I'm going to bring it up at parties, with contractors I work with, with anyone that'll hear it. Here are some tips tho, so maybe you can be a business in good standing-
1. If your installers are going to be late, contact the client. Make sure that your installers speak enough English to communicate the issue and resolution with the client.
2. Don't fight the client on clear issues with your installs or installers.
3. Contact the client if payment isn't going thru, don't do shady shit like lie about charges not going thru and then threaten them with legal action.
4. Take your licks, don't come back at clients with vitriolic slander because you don't like what they have to say.
If you've made it all the way thru this review, thank you. Do yourself a favor and find another company so these dolts don't waste your time. read more
