If you haven't been to The Standard yet, you're missing out!!! This is a relatively new place that has rapidly grown in popularity with the younger crowd. It is mainly an outdoor place, making it a great option for cooler days. There is a giant outdoor bar with tvs, outdoor high top tables, couches, and then a smaller indoor space with an additional bar. We came here for a work party and it was a wonderful venue. They offered hot bar of food that they replenished as needed and provide us with a portion of their outdoor area. We tried two different flatbreads, boneless wings, and sliders. I must have had two servings of each!!!! The food was honestly phenomenal and was excellent quality. I loved visiting during the holidays because they were decorated for Christmas!!!!! I will say although I was not drinking, several people did have some complaints about the drinks being different at each bar. Several people had to return their drinks from the indoor bar due to poor taste and quality, while the outdoor bar seemed to have a more predictable poor and put much more effort into garnish and presentation. Not sure if this was a fluke or happens often, but definitely felt the need to share! Either way, I had a lovely evening filled with fun, cheer, and great food. "I had a mixed experience at this restaurant. The service was excellent; the staff was attentive and friendly, which made for a welcoming atmosphere, specially since it's started raining. Unfortunately the food itself was a bit disappointing. The pepperoni flat bread tasted like it might have been frozen, and the slider buns were hard, which took away from the enjoyment. Goat cheese balls were ok and she shrimp cocktail was great but that sauce... was a no no. It was cocktail sauce meets BBQ On the positive side, the french fries were tasty, and the happy hour drink prices are a good deal. Overall, I'd come back for the drinks and the service, but I'd hope for an improvement in the food quality. read more

Came here for brunch with a large group, but we definitely weren't the only big party--so you'd think the place would be prepared. Spoiler alert: they weren't. One overwhelmed server was left to handle all the tables, while a few folks lingered behind the bar drinking, looking busy but not actually helping. Bottomless mimosas? More like "hope you like one mimosa every 45 minutes." The food finally trickled out, lukewarm at best, and as average as it gets. The cherry on top? One person in our group waited the whole time only to be told after everyone else had their food that the flatbread he ordered wasn't even on the menu anymore. For brunch this place is a hard pass. There are much better brunch places on the ave. Hopefully the server finds a new job, she was a hard worker. read more

I miss the vibe and decor of the OG but welcome to The Standard. Service was inconsistent but acceptable. Lots of seating options inside and out. Sliders were tasty but expensive for what you get (even at happy hour prices). Caesar salad was unacceptable, lettuce was red and clearly wilted. Id like to see this place succeed but a lot of work needs to be done to attract people to this side of the tracks. read more

This was one of the stops for the Delray Beach Bar Crawls and it was a pleasant surprise. The bartenders seem to really love their jobs which is very rare in south Florida. They were attentive in giving us the free drink that came with the bar crawl and made the experience even better. It was a young crowd that was full of energy! read more

"Hidden gem just off the Ave!" Spacious, spotless, and seriously underrated. The Standard has one of the cleanest and most inviting atmospheres in Delray. Food's consistently great and the prices are the best you'll find around town. Tons of parking and tucked right next to the SofA apartments--easy to get to, hard to forget. read more

Recently went to a party here on a Saturday night and there was a Florida Gators basketball game so the place was packed and LOUD! It's mostly an outdoor bar but there's a small area and bar inside as well which thankfully has AC. The bartenders were nice and the drinks I had were strong. We had three long tables of 12 and because of the game people were kind of hanging over us. We were served appetizers of sliders, flatbread pizza and goat cheese balls and they were good but what was strange is they only dropped off one plate of 3 sliders, one plate of 6 pieces of flatbread and one plate of 6 goat cheese balls, in intervals. Not sure why they didn't just bring trays of the food out to the table, so everyone can have more than one piece of food at a time. Also, when they bought out the cake and a big Happy Birthday sign at the end, they didn't even have my friend's name right! The bathrooms are coed which isn't a deal breaker for me at all but for some people it might be. When we left there was a really long line of people waiting to get in, mostly young college kids it seemed like. Think this is probably a one and done thing for me. read more

The security at this establishment is so used to seeing fake id's they cannot even recognize what a real Florida one looks like. After threatening to call the police to scan our Id's at the entrance they allowed us in and then it took well over 30 minutes to order a high noon. Security, Staff, and Service is terrible I would never recommend visiting here. Attached is a photo of the security guard who clearly cannot do his job properly. read more

Came in for Sunday brunch with a Rez for 11:15. We were the only table there the entire time. Before anyone even greeted us things got weird. That's the only way I can describe it. What we thought were customers, but then quickly realized was the entire staff, were all sitting at the bar together drinking - instead of anyone coming over to help us or adjust the fan that was literally blowing always our menus (when we got them) dispite us asking 4/5 times (they actually even turned it up at one point but no surprise bc they were admittedly drinking) We know this because they said it repeatedly.... They kept screaming that they should take more shots and "fuck it what's one more!" as we watch them pour each other shots from behind the bar then sit down all along the corner. I couldn't tell if some of them were workers who were here on their day off, but they were all behind the bar together very clearly taking shots and SCREAMING. It escalated quickly. It was like they were at brunch and we were the employees having to help ourselves? At one point one of the guys wearing a hat SCREAMED "THE MUFFIN MAN" (yes like Shrek) and it became unbearably obnoxious. I literally kept saying what is HAPPENING right now! We contemplated leaving, but had already ordered our food so decided to wait- this was a mistake. I guess their drinking wouldn't have been so annoying if they didn't completely ignore us. But the whole thing became very, very obnoxious and loud and unprofessional. I mean it seems super fun to work there as an employee, but it's a terrible representation for the brand and I can't believe no managers or owners said anything to them (they may have even been joining them can't tell but the man screaming in the hat, definitely seemed older) Had the weather been nice and we could've played games or something maybe we wouldn't have minded so much, but even if we didn't care as a former waitress I would've been immediately been fired or cut for this. Our waitress wasn't great. A lot of our orders were messed up, people had each other's foods/sides on each other's plates and she forgot to put in one salad so she dropped the food then walked away (back to sit at the bar) and didn't come back for a while, and we had to get her to ask about the salad because being polite all of the hot food had to wait for one cold salad. She also said nothing when we told her she forgot about the salad. Also, the food wasn't worth it at all, but I wouldn't have wrote the review if it wasn't for the sloppy drunks working there screaming. And they seemed to have ZERO shame about it. In conclusion don't go here if you're looking for a nice brunch spot. It was my birthday and bachelorette party, and I was super disappointed and quite honestly embarrassed I made my girls come here. It seems like a bunch of 40 year-old former frat guys hung over and/or drunk running the place. Delray has so many better brunch spots. read more

Very pleasant indoor/outdoor atmosphere. It was a rainy evening, so we ate at a high top table, under large, very quiet, cooling fans. Server was friendly, delightful, attentive & accommodating. Food came quickly, as we enjoyed an appetizer. Bacon Mac & cheese-delicious! All of our entrees were hot & very generous. I had the shrimp quesadilla. So good! Friends had a cheeseburger & fries, and beef philadelphia cheesesteak. Both excellent! Will definitely go back!! read more

Drinks are fine...honestly over priced. Anywhere you look there is an underage person. College freshman everywhere. Ordered a side of fries and asked for salt and I was handed an entire box of salt. If you have food on ur menu at least have a salt shaker or a bartender above age. read more

I went to The Standard Delray location with my friends last night for happy hour and to watch some college football too. I used to be a local at there Boca Raton restaurant. I was hoping to have a good experience at the new location, which was formally The O.G. I recently relocated back to Delray Beach, and was initially excited that the new location was in walking distance from where I live. As you walk into the space you notice that it's a beautiful atmosphere for watching sports. As mentioned I was a returning customer to the brand. I noticed that the bartender (Kathleen) that served us last night also works at the Boca location. For no reason she was beyond rude to me the whole night and used profanity a couple of times. My tab at the bar was already opened with one of the male bartenders prior. I went to add one margherita pizza off of the HH menu with Kathleen. When she asked about my open tab I kindly provided her with my first and last name and was jokingly telling her about my CC associated with it since it's very distinctive. She said I don't give a f**k what kind of card you have. As I was leaving for the night I was trying to close out my tab with her. However, she had ignored me, so I had no choice but to close it out instead with her co-worker. I kindly asked him for a copy of the itemized receipt prior to them charging my card. He said he could only provide the receipt afterwords. My receipt was provided and I noticed that I was being charged for two margherita pizzas, which I did not order. I asked for Kathleen since she had taken my order. After speaking with her she accused me of ordering two pizza's and said that I f**k ordered another one. In business it's always important to treat the customer with respect and professionalism. She corrected herself afterwords stating that someone else in my group had ordered the extra pizza on my tab. Although, she was not able to identify them. I spent almost $100 for HH, but it was not about the money. Immediately, she got defensive towards me and began to argue with me. She could not simply credit my card back since it was their fault at hand. I have never been treated so disrespectfully at a restaurant in my life. At this point I asked for the manager who did nothing to defuse the situation. Instead all of the staff were taking her side. I wish this business all of the success. However, if management does not run a better operation they will not be around for the long run. read more
