This was my favorite meal in a long time! Everything has amazing flavor and I was so impressed! The party was top tier and the jerk wings were amazing! Service was pretty good. The girl was busking to get everyone their food. The dinning room was a whole vibe! I'm 100000% going back.

Happy Hour here is a definite MUST! Small quaint space with a low key jungle feel. You soon forget you're in the middle of downtown Miami. The beef patty was flaky, crispy & the right amount of spices while the jersey chicken was juicy & had a nice slow heat. Their spicy margaritas was refreshing & complimented the whole experience. Do want to go back for another round soon!

I had a lot to say. First i will start with the positive. Really beautiful inside. Perfect setting for a date night, good music and honestly some good Jamaican food. First negative , after placing our drink order i overhear 2 female guest ask for happy hr menu? I never received a happy hr menu nor told about any specials. Ordered 2 $17 drinks and both were on the happy hr menu for $10. Not a big deal but who doesn't love a good happy hr $? Second negative, bill comes and of course i had to correct the bill because i was getting charged for the full priced drinks when in fact i ordered the drinks (luckily) that were on special. Then the waiter looks at me opening my INKIND app and immediately tells me "oh, we are not excepting Inkind anymore , i was told by the back"? lol. So you're promoting on INKIND with a special but refuses to honor the advertised deal? Big . Would be 5 stars but just had a bad experience , too bad because the food is really good.

Excellent service, food, beats and location. Blink and you'll miss the smallest indicator you're at the right joint. Mangrove hits as soon as you walk in, with a dark moody inviting atmosphere, plush plants and a very unique menu, that includes Curry Oxtail. Nothing went wrong here, a great bar libations that had me ordering one after the other and wonderful bartenders that had our group laughing the night through.

I absolutely loved the vibes here. The live DJ on a Friday night made for an upbeat dining experience. Service was friendly, and the low lit atmosphere was very nice. On to the food. I was pleased with everything I tasted, some items were better than others, but all elements combined, I would surely return! I only wished the had a traditional curry chicken platter with beans, rice, and cabbage without having to get everything a la carte

The drinks were super delicious and the music was awesome! It felt amazing to sing to Early 2000s in mid 2000s R&B with your friends. I can't wait to go back.

We were a party of four with no reservation on a Saturday night and waited about 20 minutes at the bar for a table to open up. The restaurant is small and every table was taken, but they still managed to accommodate us. Service was good, though a bit on the slow side. The food, however, was excellent! We ordered jerk wings, jerk skewers, fries, plantains, and curry oxtails. The jerk was perfectly spicy and did not disappoint. A live DJ played a great mix of Caribbean music, Afrobeats, and R&B. The dim lighting created an intimate atmosphere, while the music added a fun, lively vibe. It's definitely a great spot for date night or an evening out with friends. Highly recommend and I'll definitely be back!

Such a vibe! My first visit to this small, intimate Jamaican restaurant in downtown Miami was for a Friday night date, and it was perfect. The dim lighting set a cozy mood, with a DJ playing solid music all night. We ordered the jerk chicken wings, festival, rice and peas, plantain, chicken patty, and mac and cheese. Everything was packed with flavor and cooked to perfection. The drinks were strong and soooo good, too. Service was great. They were busy but our waiter was still very attentive. Came back during my birthday month and had another amazing time! This visit, I tried the fried snapper, and it was absolutely delicious. It was spicy, flavorful, and perfectly cooked. The atmosphere was just as great, with good music, tasty drinks, and friendly service. They even surprised me with a celebratory glass of prosecco, which made the night feel extra special. This place has officially become one of my favorite spots in downtown Miami. Can't wait for visit number three!

Mangrove is a cozy little Jamaican spot in Miami that's absolutely worth trying. The space is small but beautifully decorated, giving it a warm, welcoming vibe. The drinks were great, and the food didn't disappoint, everything we had was flavorful and well done. If you're looking for good Jamaican food in an intimate setting, with great customer service Mangrove is the place.

Fun vibe. On Thursday's they have a live reggae night. We got there earlier for the food and the music was a little intense for one person on my table, and I have to say the management responded very graciously to moderate the sound. Really appreciated that. Do expect some really nice music, I believe it turns into a club type thing later in the night. Personally, I gravitate here more for the food. Really love their shrimp salad. Roti is quality. Flavors and punchy and bright with the spice you'd expect from the islands. Really quality place they're working on. Wish them a lot of success. I recommend and will be back!

What a gem Mangrove is. After reading a ton of rave reviews I knew I had to come here. Stopped by on a. Wednesday night, not busy at all and we were seated right away. It's absolutely gorgeous inside I love the thoughtful artwork and the lighting creates a very intimate vibe. It's a perfect spot for a date. There's a small bar with seating as well. The menu isn't too large but I'm sure there's something for everyone. We started with a beef patty, the lobster Mac and the jerk wings. Everything was so good I'm struggling to identify which I loved the most but the Mac is top tier. I know Jamaican Mac and cheese isn't known for being the best but WOW, chef is back in the kitchen throwing down. The wings fall off the bone tender and the sauce is so good I would buy it by the bottle. For entrees we ordered the Rasta pasta with chicken and the oxtail curry with jerk fried rice. I've never had order envy but the jerk pasta my goodness. It's a flavor explosion. I'll be dreaming about it. The oxtail curry was good but unfortunately couldn't compare to the pasta. This is one of those places you absolutely have to try.

My friends and I went on a Thursday night and it was such a good vibe. The ambiance was laid back yet trendy with great service. The food is awesome. My friend had the lamb chops and enjoyed every bite. I ate all the plant based options on the menu and even requested curry chickpeas to go with my roti. When you're vegan you have to speak up and see what can be done. I met with the chef and he said he will have plant based jerk chicken on the menu for me next week! It only makes sense since they offer it at the JRK restaurant which they own as well. The vegan rasta pasta is hands down my favorite and I can't wait to try it next week when it's topped with jerk chicken. This will be my 4th consecutive Thursday at this restaurant and I'm not ashamed of it because it's giving grown and sexy with great eats. What else can you ask for? Please try the red red wine drink. It's made with sorrel and Jamaican white rum, #IYKYK

Everything was immaculate. The service, decor, moody vibes, delicious food and drinks. It was so cool and we just happened to come in randomly. FYI, they have happy hour. Does not disappoint. Our main server Wensley gave great recommendations and went the extra mile with packing out to go/leftovers. Gave us extra sauce and utensils. The other servers were so kind and just great energy. For drinks we ordered Is This Love (soo yummy, a little sweet). For food, our favorite was the yucca fries. Favorite fries I've ever had. Ordered extra order. Also on HH menu. More food- coconut rice & peas, rasta pasta, sweet chili cauliflower, and rough gal wings. I want to come back & try more food, dessert. Hear the DJ at the booth. Just a vibeyy spot.

I think they fit Miami well, and are slight twists in classic drink options. Our bartender was awesome. She was super knowledgeable and helpful in making recommendations as we decided what to order, and you can tell she really put effort into making sure the drinks were good. The drinks were really good! My only complaint is the price. Of course handcrafted cocktails are expensive, especially in Miami, but wow. The drinks were really small, and had so much ice that they ended up being not very many sips at all. They were definitely good, but the very small size for almost $20 a drink was kind of outrageous.

The bar was lit, poppin' and vibrant. We were waiting by the end of the counter where they checked out other patrons near the sitting area. We were overlooked many times... I locked eyes with one of the bartender and she completely looked away from me.. several times :( took about 15 minutes and we reached our arms out and flagged bartender Reilly. Her greeting and attention was genuine so I was happy to get her. Unfortunately, she got busy and we got the initial lady that ignored us. She was not kind, not attentive and didn't really want to help us - she was very fake. With that being said, we had to remind her of our drinks after 20 minutes of placing the order, in which she responded with an attitude "it's being made. We're busy" -_- -_- :( the attitude was not needed. We watched others that came in before us being served. :( I was completely annoyed and upset. She didn't even bring the drinks to us like the other bartenders were doing, she made us get it. Poor service from this one bartender while the others were happy and servicing their patrons. After our first drinks, I noticed she spoke to her colleague and he came over and asked if we wanted to close out.. . Wtf kicking us out? We said no and he opened a tab. When she noticed we were ordering more, she was a bit more attentive. So wrong. Luckily, the drinks were delicious. Perfect. We did end up coming back to the Lasseter and got a gentleman bartender that was so kind and attentive and made our drinks even better! The attention to detail and love he made in my drinks, so that is why I decided to make make this a 3 stars rather than two. He saved this place. The toilet sitting area is very warm, not very air conditioned properly so expect to be a little warm especially after a couple of sips. It's also the walkway to an actual big restrooms for the whole building. The drinks are VERY pricy but the setting is perfect and makes up for it. Unfortunately, the service was not up to par. Disney priced drinks without the Disney customer service. Do I want to come back? Yes. Am I going to be picky with the vibes coming from the bartender and chose who to go to? Also yes. Hopefully, I can increase the rating.

The biggest thing for me was the overall energy and engagement from the staff. I'm naturally a pretty social and engaged person, especially when I'm sitting at a bar, and I made an effort to interact with the bartenders. I just didn't really feel that same engagement coming back. Nobody was necessarily rude or disrespectful--it just felt disconnected, and the energy was a little strange to me. I also didn't realize until I tried to pay that the bar doesn't accept cash. Maybe that was posted somewhere and I missed it, and once they told me, it wasn't a big deal. But little things like that, combined with the overall interaction, affected the experience. Another thing I didn't realize until receiving my check was that gratuity was already included. I wasn't verbally told about it, and I personally didn't see it disclosed anywhere beforehand. From my understanding, an automatic gratuity or service charge is required to be disclosed to the guest before the purchase, not something they should only discover when they receive the check. Maybe there was a notice somewhere that I missed, so I'm not saying there wasn't one, but I definitely wasn't aware of it. I think that's an important thing for guests to know upfront, especially because someone could easily add another tip without realizing gratuity was already included. Ironically, the one person I genuinely connected with and had a good conversation with was another guest at the bar, not a member of the staff. That interaction actually helped make my time there more enjoyable. For me, hospitality is about more than serving a drink. Especially when someone is clearly open, friendly, and trying to engage, that's an easy opportunity to create a connection and turn a first-time guest into someone who wants to come back. I felt like I gave plenty of opportunities for that interaction, but it just never really happened. I still had a good time because I can have a good time pretty much anywhere, and nothing happened that would make me say Lost Boys is a bad bar. It just didn't feel like the staff cared much about enhancing the experience beyond serving the drinks. So four stars because I respect what the place is and can see why it works as a neighborhood bar. It just didn't give me a reason to come back, and personally, I don't think I would.

Anywayssss, when I caught the winds that there was a new sound bar in downtown, I NEEDED to be there. The concept of the sound bar is some type of Asian thing, I don't really know. But where in Asia there might be a few monks sitting around in silence listening to gongs or whatever, Miami goes BIG! Finding parking in downtown Miami on a Saturday is virtually impossible unless you bribe a valet servant with cash. So that's what I did. My ladyfriend and I arrived early to the sound bar, and there was already a hearty swarm of brodents and thots lined up to get in. Some crack head outside was shouting about IPA's. I told the door servant that I knew the DJ or something like that, and he let us right in. Once inside, the bar has that edgy big city, small hallway type of vibe. You could barely stand around in there, let alone get to the bar to order a drink. The mix of flapping gums and mixologists concocting cocktails made for a cacophonous distraction from the actual "music" we were there to "listen" to. My ladyfriend and I ducked out across the street to Black Market Miami Bar where the game was on and you could actually order a drink that didn't cost $50+. After a few libations, we headed back to Miami Sound Machine Bar (they need to put 'Miami' in every bar's name down here in case you forget where you are). There was a weird looking guy playing depressing vinyls with singing in different languages. I was more in the mood for something upbeat and groovy like salsa or merengue that I could dance to with my girls. Although I did hear the 12" Andrew Weatherall remix of Happy Mondays "Hallelujah" at some point, a staple at the Haçienda nightclub in Manchester - an institution that shook the music world and changed club culture forever. The head servant at the bar looked like Nirvana (yes, one man looking like a whole band). He was jaded and rude. I don't blame him! As the night wore on, the crowd got larger and more deplorable, and the room got smaller and smaller. I got stuck in an awkward conversation waiting to use the bathroom. I don't think sound bars are for me. Pros: The bar across the street had really fair drink prices, and the servants are polite and efficient. Cons: the ratchet yuppies that inhabit Miami's nightlife, always on the prowl to ruin a subculture with their tackiness.
