I had an external faucet pipe break in between the exterior siding and the sheetrock, and wait for it...behind the kitchen counters. So obviously, we didn't know about it until a great deal of damage had been done in a short time. In all, three rooms were affected, the kitchen, dining, and living rooms. The water seeped under walls destroying flooring, sheetrock, kitchen counters/cabinets and carpet. My plumber couldn't get to the damaged pipe to fix it until everything came out. That's where he, with my permission, referred me to American Standard Restoration. The office manager Christiana, called me soon after, and hearing my story scheduled an appointment with Jared to come and do an assessment the next day. I thought that was pretty amazing, because if you're a homeowner, you know how tough it's been to schedule any professional tradesmen in the last couple years. The next day came and I called Christiana early to see when he would be here. I knew when the appointment was, but it never hurts to try and get in earlier. He called me back and was intuitive enough to understand it was an emergency and stated he would be here in 30 minutes. So, Jared shows up earlier than he stated and proceeds to give me a master class on how the whole operation works. From getting an insurance claim number to demo, and restoration. Jared had an answer for every question, and it wasn't a "this is the way it is" type of conversation, there were options at every point, and he let me make "informed" decisions about all of it, simply by taking the time to educate me. Our meeting ended with Jared stating a crew would be onsite early to start the work. I have to admit, I was a little apprehensive about my family and I being inconvenienced, and the incredible hassle the whole process was going be. A nightmare came to mind. Early the next morning I got a call from Gavin who stated he and the crew would be here in 20 minutes. As soon as I hung up the phone, my kids school called and said he was having a problem. My son is autistic, and sometimes school isn't where he should be. So, I went and got him. In so doing I was about ten minutes late getting back to the house, and believe it or not, the whole crew (Gavin, Jared, Keanu, Gabe, and Zack? were there waiting on ME. When I apologized, and introduced my son and myself, they were all smiling and introducing themselves to me and my son. My son instantly liked them and asked me where they were the next day. That means a lot to me, because if you know anything about autism, only genuine connections make an impression. So, down to the work. Gavin walked through with me before getting started, and explained everything to me step by step. They even brought boxes with them to move all our stuff out of the kitchen counters before taking them apart. They taped off and masked everything not involved in the demolition to protect it. They created plastic walls to keep the dust down and later aid in the drying process. During this long hard day the crew was busy and very respectful, stopping there work every time I had a question. They even went into the crawl space and attacked the moisture from below. They didn't remove any more material than they had to, and where they did remove counters, drywall, flooring, carpet, etc. they left it looking good. That takes some skill when you're talking about creating huge holes in walls. When they were finished Gavin asked me to have a look. I was impressed with what I saw. Not one scrap of trash, or water damaged material was left behind. They cleaned everything up and hauled it all away. In my opinion, they left a clean canvas for the me and the next tradesmen who come after them to put it all back together. I thanked the whole crew, and I told Gavin they did excellent work at a job that was tough. Gavin thanked me and said it meant a lot to him and the guys. That response told me they take pride in their work...and that is what good work is all about. read more

Our experience with American Standard Restoration has been extremely disappointing and frustrating. From the start, communication was poor, especially with Jared, who handled insurance matters. He was consistently condescending, rushed through conversations, and made a plan for the work that was not followed. He also falsely told our insurance company that our toilet was temp-set when it wasn't, which was misleading and unprofessional. Matt, who initially came with Jared, assured me he would personally be doing the removal and overseeing the work, but he never did. It felt like a bait-and-switch--say what you need to say to get the job, and then not follow through. When the crew arrived, they didn't seem to know what was supposed to be done. Tasks discussed with both Jared and Matt were suddenly "not included." On top of the poor communication and unmet expectations, our home was not treated with care. Several workers, including Jared, did not wear shoe covers inside. Two of our door frames were damaged during the process--we sent pictures, and the only response we received was, "We'll let our boss know." No follow-up yet. To make matters worse, when the washer and dryer were moved back in, they damaged the front left corner of the unit. Clearly, this company prioritized getting paid through insurance rather than providing quality service or respecting our home. We deeply regret not being able to change companies midway through. Based on our experience, we would not recommend American Standard Restoration to anyone. read more

I had a hot water leak behind my tub/shower in January, the plumber I called recommended American Standard Restoration (ASR) to mitigate the water damage, which was extensive. Jared and his crew came out and immediately gutted my bathroom and half a bedroom, removing all of the appliances, flooring and half a wall between the two rooms. They brought in dehumidifiers and fans to dry everything out before mold set in. ASR was very professional and courteous with the work they did, and Jared was very knowledgeable and friendly about answering all my questions. I also want to give my greatest appreciation to JODI who works in Finance. It has been very difficult working with the Insurance Adjuster trying to get funds to pay ASR and the Contractor to come restore my house. It has been 4 months since my leak and I am still waiting on funds to get the job started. Jodi has been awesome and very understanding of the delays with the insurance company and did not charge any late fees while working with me to get the invoice paid. On Friday, June 14 2024 the water supply line to the hot water tank that is attached to the wall and insulation to the master walk-in closet sprung a small leak, but enough to saturate the insulation, drywall and carpet. I turned off the main water to the home. Immediately I called Rossco Plumbing, who I have been using since 2019. They called Jared Horner at American Standard Restoration. Within half hour both companies were at my home to take care of the damage. Jared Horner was swift in taking action: measurements, photos, and helped me in contacting my insurance giving pertinent information to go forward. He was kind to give me help in moving things from the closet. Along with Jared Heron and Rossco (Richie, Jake, Jared Osborne) they saved my home from a catastrophic disaster. Emergencies happen and sometimes they happen in the most unfortunate times. For my family and I, waking up to water flooding our house was a terrible experience. My plumber came out immediately and helped repair a burst pipe in the wall. He recommended American Standard Restoration to other customers in the past and suggested I call them too. I'm glad I did. A very nice girl answered the phone (don't remember her name) and scheduled someone to arrive within 1 hour. Robert arrived 40 minutes later. He explained the steps he and his team would need to take in order to dry out and restore our home. From start to finish they were in my home 6 days. If we had the ability to give this company a 10 star rating we would. We live in So Calif. So we hired a third party for a deep cleaning of our rental property in the Puyallup, WA area. In the midst of cleaning, a substantial mold issue was discovered across the kitchen back wall under the sink and dishwasher area. We called this company and explained, we were not able to be at the property. Robert assured us not to worry, and provided immediate service. Robert did an inspection, called us with a report of the findings, and provided photos. He then explained our options and a very reasonable estimate. I own a home in WA and live in FL. After renters moved out a lot of damage was found, including mold due to a hot water pipe bursting under the house.
