We came to Denver to visit family and my husband's work computer stopped working. He had a lot of very important work that, of course, hadn't been backed up. Ed met us at our family's home *on a Saturday* got the computer up and running, set up an external hard drive and a cloud back up for extra protection and charged a very reasonable price. Dealing with computers, like anything, it could be 2,526 different things that could be the problem and trying to pinpoint that over the phone without knowing or seeing the computer is pretty tough. Just the fact the he was willing to help and get back to me multiple times without sounding annoyed or put-out was relieving to hear. I have to wholeheartedly recommend American Tech Support (ATS) based on their customer service alone. I had my work laptop computer crash on a Friday afternoon when I was leaving town on Sunday for a long trip, and needed to take my laptop with me. I called ATS after 5:30pm on a Friday evening and they still answered their phone (their hours are actually listed as open until 11:00pm!). Ed over there could not have been more helpful. He spent over 45 minutes on the phone, walking me through every possible scenario for how to remedy my situation...heck, he even offered for me to bring the computer over to his house that night and he would immediately try working on it on my behalf trying to resolve the situation before I had to leave town a day later! Three days later Ed even texted me to check in on how my computer situation was doing and if I still had any lingering problems with it! I would hardly have expected a follow-up message from a typical service provider in today's day and age. But this outfit is hardly typical. This company's service is top-notch, and you don't feel like they're out to "nickel and dime you to death"--they'll only charge you for the time they are actually WORKING ON your computer. If you have computer needs or challenges to solve, I recommend these guys. I don't think you can go wrong. And they are faster and more reasonably priced than Geek Squad (which I've used before)! I finally stopped procrastinating about having someone come over to help me clean up my computer and found this company. The tech support person who came over deleted files and solved every problem I shared with him. He also solved issues that I did not even know I had!!! He also taught me how to work with my computer in ways that I did not know. He was very patient, knowledgeable, efficient, capable and cheerful. Upon moving to Denver, we tried to set up our modem, wireless routers, laptops, and printers on our own. Our ISP modem/router was not great and kept failing (surprise). So we purchased a new router and enlisted Ed to resolve our networking issues. He is super knowledgeable, professional, and fast. Fast forward 6 months later, issues pertaining to our ISP again caused networking issues. I work remotely with minimal corporate IT support so when systems go down, I need someone who can quickly respond or I am offline indefinitely. Terrible and overpriced! He charged bunch of money for sitting round and talking about his family and homeschooling instead of fixing the computer, at the end told me to download the virus and after that he said my computer will start working, it never did. Ed said he will fix it for more money. We usually relay on reviews but in this case I think they are fake or lot of his neighbours,friends wrote them. These guys really went out of their way for me. I was having a nightmarish issue with my Lenovo and had already been to the Geek Squad (which wasn't successful). ATS helped me troubleshoot the issue (without even being paid first) and did a bunch of extra research to help me get to the bottom of the problem. In the end I opted not to fix my laptop and just got a new one instead, but it was nice to know that ATS was there to help me if I wanted to repair it. I had the unfortunate experience of having my computer completely shut down on me while downloading a driver. The tech at American tech support was wonderful to work with when I called. He showed up on time and was very courteous. Sadly my computer issue was fatal but the tech was able to quickly diagnose the problem and gave me advice on what to buy now. When my computer crashed, I called Ed, who was prompt, calm, and reassuring. He helped rescue my data, got me set up on a new machine, and gave me invaluable advice about safety and backups. Huge Scam!!! This is a big scam do not let them trick you and try to touch your computer. I received a call at 5am from a person who was obviously overseas in India. He tried to tell me I had viruses and major infections in my computer. I am very knowledgeable with computers myself. He tried to show me things which were not actual issues. Then tried to do things on my computer with out my permission. I questioned the companies legitimacy and he couldn't answer simple questions. I said I was not going to continue because I know it is a scam and I will not pay a some for this. When I asked him to stop until he explains things properly he was laughing saying he is gonna make my computer crash. Luckily I disconnected the connection as he was trying to go in my system and put a password on it so I couldn't do anything. I will not stop contacted who I need to, to make sure this company is closed down for good. Be warned! So your research and you will see videos of this scam where people caught them. First appointment with ATS was with the owner, Ed Partch, to try to clean up and/or speed up my older Toshiba Satellite laptop, as it had become unbearably slow. Long story short, Ed told me that the PC had a h/w configuration that would limit it from performing much better and advised me to get a new PC. The reason that I feel that Ed delivered exceptional service is that he 1.) wasn't afraid to tell me "bad news" - you need a new PC, 2.) gave this advice as soon as he had a chance to look at the PC - didn't waste his time or mine, and 3.) didn't charge me for the service call to my house. Ed even went so far as to make a recommendation as to what PC I should purchase for my home use - and no, it wasn't from Ed. All he asked for was a Yelp review, and hoped that we would call his company the next time we needed computer service. Well, I'm glad to provide a review for good service, and I'll definitely call ATS the next time I need computer help (and refer anyone I know as well). Thanks, Ed. read more
